You have the locking bracket assembly kits installed at the inner rack bars but somehow finished them at outer most bars, which is of course the most stable points. Thanks for your instruction throughout. I wonder if the deflector plate can be painted and personalized with something.
Ordered mine online. It arrived damaged/used, with visible scratches and paint stripping off, etc.... And with no build instructions. Will be taking it to get Rhino-Lined after I zinc it. I know the price point for MaxxHaul is buyer friendly, but - there is no excuse for lack of quality control.
Started assembly today and it took an hour to connect the back to the middle section. The middle section was slightly bent and made it very difficult to line up. I will definitely paint it before I attached to the cross bars. The product is scratched and looks like it will rust. I think a textured paint or Flex Seal would do the trick. What do the rest of you think about using Flex Seal to protect the rack?

Great product, I would have likes the rubber sleeves a little longer. The sleeves provided with my kit (70115), they will not cover both the screws and seams where the ends meet with the center section☹
"Make sure to use the right phillips head" Dirtbags, how about shipping quality screws!? I used the correct one and they still stripped like a 99cents store toy 🤨
The screws in this video look like way better quality than the ones sent :(. The ones I have from you guys are soft and so if the screw driver slips just once or twice then it starts stripping already. Two of the screws won't even go in all the way no matter how hard I try holding it down from stripping

@@jasminepetal3972 I was thinking the car wash brushes might get damaged, or the brushes might damage my new roof rack, as they spin and pass over the roof of my car..while moving through the car wash tunnel..Thanks for responding
What's the deal with the rubber washers? I was putting it together today and these rubber washers are a joke...a bunch of them just slipped right off the screw heads as I was tightening the screws and the rest kind of wrap around the screw hanging on a word. Even the screws from the front factory sign plate have exactly the same issue with one washer mostly off. Seriously guys if you think you need the rubber washers use screws with larger heads or include metal washers to go on top of the rubber ones.
the screws dont easily go in, I had to make the holes a bit bigger. the instructions are trash, I wasted so much goddamn time getting this put together
Down voted since he both forgot to mention the greasing the gaskets before installing them & putting on the protective covers at the end. Not a big deal but for a simple install I’d say it should’ve definitely been mentioned.

What if the crossbars are not adjustable?
Does it fit on-a 2022 Hyundai Kona? They have fixed crossbars on them can’t adjust spacing? There made by OEM model J9F21-ACOO

Does WD40 spray work to lubricate the gaskets or do I need a special grease?
Use KY jelly and go in the back door. Some force may be required

Yup. That’s what I’m dealing with right now. Screws were shit.
One of my lower small bars doesn’t line up with the end piece. The others fit fine. It’s off about a 16th of an inch.

My roof bars are 37” apart at the closest setting. The bar pads are 32” apart at the furthest setting
The screws are bad. Needed WD40 for the rubber sleeves

Don't buy this crap, mine is rusted after having rain last week. I have had mine for 3 weeks.
