Just a suggestion for giggles, season salt pepper...let the meat come to room temp...pre heat the pan....hot, lil' bit of oil, then just before you place it in the pan...drop a nub of butter...about a min or two each side....

One thing about natives is that we don't always have seasonings or even want to use them, just plain fried moose meat is good. I only ever remember having some salt or pepper with mine, my dad sometimes would do onions with his. Im sure there's peopke out there who prepare it really well and tasty but from where im from i never saw anything like that just plain moose meat with bannock.

Recommend using some tyme or rosemary/ a little butter in the pan while cooking. IMO! Cheers

Seriously... Moose is amazing, of course it depends on the animal, but MMMMMM. It's also very lean and packed with protein, always cook it to well done.

Hey Mike. I just got some moose meat from a friend. He lives in Cobalt Ontario Canada 🍁 where about you living? I'm in North Bay Ontario Canada 🇨🇦 Anyway I'm cooking moose steak 🥩 tonight, but first I like give it a bath in hot banana pepper brine. With a little Montreal steak pisces. Then wash it off before cooking. I'll probably have some rice 🍚 with it. OK thanks and take care friend. ✌️😎

Im going to try moose meat for the very first time, but I dont know if the smell is too strong, if I should cook it outside or if the taste of the meat is too "wild" how could I reduce thay flavor. Great video, keep up the good content! :)

I've never been able to figure out how to make good moose steak or roast without it being too dry. Ground moose I can make and find that a small pinch of cayenne pepper tones down the wild taste.
