In the Gamecube version of Sands of Time, you had to find the secret level hidden inside the game itself. I remember you had to find a secret passage inside the palace, with stairs going down and you could access it. And then you could also unlock the ENTIRE original Prince of Persia in there. I had only played the SNES version, but I believe the one inside the Gamecube disc is more based on a Apple Computer version as I recall.
@@joshuamason8992 I'm not sure but I'd say you probably didn't get to keep the sword outside the level itself. Don't quote me on it though, other than replaying the early parts of the game last year, I haven't replayed the entire thing in over a decade.

You forgot one secret detail in the part about SMW. If you enter the Special area and don't enter any level and instead just wait for a while, after a few minutes the background music suddenly changes to a slightly retooled version of the original NES SMB theme!
The sheer fact that you even _MENTIONED_ the gem that is _Shining Force 2_ gets you a like from me. That game (and _Shining Force 1)_ is such an underrated masterpiece. Also, that last battle isn't just 'other enemies', it's a boss rush. All the bosses are there save for Taros (who can only be harmed by one weapon that hero has likely gotten rid of by the end of the game) and the Kraken (who is a water-locked foe) - two Mist Demons stand in for them.
I love how you kept up the overly elaborate troll part of the Slender level. You don't need a flashlight. You don't need to mess with the radio or swings. You don't even need to go into the brick-walled perimeter. Just go straight to the poster, and restart the game. Return 2 more times, and the last time, you get the secret level. 🤣

I've always liked secrets that mess around with the game. Things like changing the graphics, closing the game, doing uneeded controls, ect. Those are things that actually spook me.
You should've added these to the list as well: - Wolfenstein 3-D Episode 3 secret level (the Pac-Mania) - Zinglon's Revenge stage from Tyrian 2000 - The level "Hypercubed!!!" from Tristania 3D (this game in fact has 5 super secret levels) - E1L1 Reborn from Spear: End of Destiny
Yea, maybe. Tyrian 2000 is notorious of having VERY WELL hidden secret levels with some crazy unique theme. I can point'em out for ya t'save time if y'desire. The Zinglon's Revenge stage in Tyrian can be unlocked in Episode 4. Y'have to destroy the Core boss on the level "CORE" AND defeat the boss at the secret level "?TUNNEL?". Once y'did, y'must purchase the ship "The Stalker 21.216" and y'have to finish the WHOLE episode 4 using this ship, and ONLY this ship. This stage can be accessed from the level "Hiroshima" by shooting the left burning torch in a wall nook, then it becomes passable. E1L1 Reborn in Spear: End of Destiny is a direct homage to the original E1L1 Wolfenstein 3D level. Doom 2 also has a super secret level labeled "Grosse", and is also based on the original Wolf3D. There are hanged Commander Keens at the exit as well. The "Hypercubed!!!" level in Tristania 3D may be accessed from level 21: "Vibeke". You have to find 4 hidden areas, activate 2 switches and find 3 keys. If you did everything right, there'll be a secret elevator near the official exit of the level, surrounded by carcasses. The level is of course a direct reference to the movie "Cube 2 - Hypercube". The other 4 super secret levels in Tristania 3D are less spectacular. There is a "normal" secret level featuring Hello Kitty, but it's not that fiendishly well hidden. Hope this helps y'a bit!

It reminds me of the early 1980's when Nintendo and sega got their start in console games by licencing their arcade games to the Atari 2600 and Colecovision. The cart versions were exactly like the arcade versions but if you got Module #3 which turned the colecovision console into the Adam Computer or you bought the standalone adam computer you were treated to Super games of the arcade version with secret levels like zaxxon etc etc. The most famous of these is the secret level of Donkey Kong which was never released until Coleco went belly up. In the unreleased donkey Kong (which I still have on an adam disk), after the second scene with the elevators, if you pressed the right sequence of numbers on the number pad, you got taken to a Kitchen scene where the gorilla was throwing knives, forks and dishes at Mario. to defeat the leve you had to dodge these items and get to the gorilla where the Gorilla turns and runs off and then you get thrown back into the regular next scene from the arcade version. It was pretty weird seeing that for the first time but most of the super games for the adam computer has secret levels.

Hey wanna know what a dream is :) Dream A dream is a succession of images, ideas, emotions, and sensations that usually occur involuntarily in the mind during certain stages of sleep.[1] The content and purpose of dreams are not fully understood, although they have been a topic of scientific, philosophical and religious interest throughout recorded history. Dream interpretation is the attempt at drawing meaning from dreams and searching for an underlying message. The scientific study of dreams is called oneirology.[2] Dreams mainly occur in the rapid-eye movement (REM) stage of sleep-when brain activity is high and resembles that of being awake. REM sleep is revealed by continuous movements of the eyes during sleep. At times, dreams may occur during other stages of sleep. However, these dreams tend to be much less vivid or memorable.[3] The length of a dream can vary; they may last for a few seconds, or approximately 20-30 minutes.[3] People are more likely to remember the dream if they are awakened during the REM phase. The average person has three to five dreams per night, and some may have up to seven;[4] however, most dreams are immediately or quickly forgotten.[5] Dreams tend to last longer as the night progresses. During a full eight-hour night sleep, most dreams occur in the typical two hours of REM.[6] Dreams related to waking-life experiences are associated with REM theta activity, which suggests that emotional memory processing takes place in REM sleep.[7] Opinions about the meaning of dreams have varied and shifted through time and culture. Many endorse the Freudian theory of dreams - that dreams reveal insight into hidden desires and emotions.[qualify evidence] Other prominent theories include those suggesting that dreams assist in memory formation, problem solving, or simply are a product of random brain activation.[8] Sigmund Freud, who developed the psychological discipline of psychoanalysis, wrote extensively about dream theories and their interpretations in the early 1900s.[9] He explained dreams as manifestations of one's deepest desires and anxieties, often relating to repressed childhood memories or obsessions. Furthermore, he believed that virtually every dream topic, regardless of its content, represented the release of sexual tension.[10] In The Interpretation of Dreams (1899), Freud developed a psychological technique to interpret dreams and devised a series of guidelines to understand the symbols and motifs that appear in our dreams. In modern times, dreams have been seen as a connection to the unconscious mind. They range from normal and ordinary to overly surreal and bizarre. Dreams can have varying natures, such as being frightening, exciting, magical, melancholic, adventurous, or sexual. The events in dreams are generally outside the control of the dreamer, with the exception of lucid dreaming, where the dreamer is self-aware.[11] Dreams can at times make a creative thought occur to the person or give a sense of inspiration.[12] Your welcome

How about "10 most infamous levels" (example: Super Mario 1-1)
2:37 song please? Great vid btw
In Star Trek Elite Force 2 there is a hidden Mario-like side scrolling level.
Wow. That sounds Cool :)
Music starting at 0:15?
Hey wanna know what a dream is
:)
Dream
A dream is a succession of images, ideas, emotions, and sensations that usually occur involuntarily in the mind during certain stages of sleep.[1] The content and purpose of dreams are not fully understood, although they have been a topic of scientific, philosophical and religious interest throughout recorded history. Dream interpretation is the attempt at drawing meaning from dreams and searching for an underlying message. The scientific study of dreams is called oneirology.[2]
Dreams mainly occur in the rapid-eye movement (REM) stage of sleep-when brain activity is high and resembles that of being awake. During a full eight-hour night sleep, most dreams occur in the typical two hours of REM.[6] Dreams related to waking-life experiences are associated with REM theta activity, which suggests that emotional memory processing takes place in REM sleep.[7]
Opinions about the meaning of dreams have varied and shifted through time and culture. Many endorse the Freudian theory of dreams - that dreams reveal insight into hidden desires and emotions.[qualify evidence] Other prominent theories include those suggesting that dreams assist in memory formation, problem solving, or simply are a product of random brain activation.[8]
Sigmund Freud, who developed the psychological discipline of psychoanalysis, wrote extensively about dream theories and their interpretations in the early 1900s.[9] He explained dreams as manifestations of one's deepest desires and anxieties, often relating to repressed childhood memories or obsessions. The events in dreams are generally outside the control of the dreamer, with the exception of lucid dreaming, where the dreamer is self-aware.[11] Dreams can at times make a creative thought occur to the person or give a sense of inspiration.[12]
Your welcome
The secret level in Snake Eater too would’ve been boss to see! ♥️
Star Fox Zero's barrel roll had me in tears laughing...
You forgot that you also get a wing suit from the Mario level
A hint to the leaf power from the game (I forgot the name of it)
Dying Light is so underrated, people/reviewers were bashing it for being "just another zombie game" all the while it being a very well made "zombie game", probably in the top 10 of zombie games
It's one of my favourite games of all time and i really hope there is a sequel.
love that countdown intermission
i'm shocked you didn't talk about the extra super secret levels in super mario world that changes everything to a different color pallet and changes the enemies as well.
There is a Super Mario Level in Borderlands: the Pre-sequel... Not sure of the place you have to go to, but one of the elevators has no barrier and you're able to go through into a Mario like level!
Sonic Team was like "Yeah we could make a good Sonic game but we won't "
IIRC the secret level in slender: the arrival is supposed to be the explanation for how Charlie became the burnt up boy in the video tape section of the game. Apologies if i have that wrong, its been a while.
You are your own WatchMojo mate :D
Ah the days of getting 96 on Super Mario World without the internet and having to find all the secret levels yourself.
It's ok for the spoiler alert. Hardly anyone plays those games anyway nowadays XD. ( Except Dying Light :) )
0:49 I don't know everything, but one thing I do know is that is *not* _"the very first stage from the original title"_ . If you'd played the original, you'd know it's a hell of a lot worse looking than that.
that prince of persia secret stage looks cool.. like they really intended and waited for a chosen person to discover it
You are forgetting that there is also the secret blueprint for the Pyza Suit. An easy to use, on-the-go, glider suit.
I'll never forget wen I accidentally figured out how to save my game on Old school Nintendo, Super Mario Bros. You had to be hitting buttons after u die & it's starts over. Takes u right back where u were
