- Join us for a visit to Mt. Olympus Theme Park located in Wisconsin, USA! In this vlog from the 9th theme park of our USA Road Trip, we share on ride POV's from all of the major rides at the park, including Hades 360, the most uncomfortable roller coaster I've ever experienced. We also ride Zeus, Cyclops and Pegasus along with experiencing the go karts and checking out the large water park also on offer!

Hades 360 definitely is one of those roller coasters that looks better off ride than on ride. Also, I was curious when on the travel vlog on The Sambrooke Adventures you said that something was wrong with your spine and I can see why now. Hope you guys enjoyed your visit!

I rode Hades 360 in 2019.. I couldn’t get enough of it. I loved this coaster. Hades 360 and Zeus are the rideable coasters in the park. Loved the go carts there too. We spent 5 days there.
It’s a crazy ride!
Hades 360 is one of my favorite coasters ever. It's the most intense and aggressive wooden coaster I've done. It's definitely not for everyone but the roughness doesn't bother me so I love it. I'm glad you guys got to experience it. I loved this vlog. I hope you guys are having a great trip!

@@ThemeParkWorldwide I get Hades might be rough, but the trains, it's the same trains as twister in gröna lund right? That's the most comfortable train I've ever been on, so wierd that you don't like them :P. The train and restraints on something like Wildfire at kolmården however, is the worst and most uncomfortable I can think of. Very weird how much ride experiences can differ. Great video as always :)
Pegasus looks like the closest thing to a wooden wild mouse left in the western and northern hemisphere (thanks Blackpool).

Hades really is the perfect storm, not only the trains and manufacturer, but the park as well. I guarantee if that ride was at holiday world it would run much smoother
Haven't ridden it in 3 or 4 years but when I rode it it wasn't rough at all. It was just extremely snappy and forceful and in the dark much of the ride. People often confuse the two. I loved it, it's in my top 5 woodies but I get why people don't like it.
I don't think I would want it too 😄 what a thrill. What would make that ride even better would be lights in that tunnel. A Worm hole kind of effect lol - I mean you'd come out the other side tripping 😨
The layout is fantastic however it’s just so rough!
these newer Gravity Group projects scare the shit out of me just because of how bad MineBlower hurt me.

Those wooden coasters, scream, indie park! From how they ride. The layouts. The lack of banking.
My. Olympus was actually a go cart park called "big chief's" that eventually added coasters (starting with cyclops.). As they grew and added more coasters, they eventually bought the hotel and water park next door. After that, they expanded the water park area and added an indoor amusement area. (My timeline could be off a little bit. It's been many years lol)

If mount olympus is dead, good luck riding hades, apparently you need a full train for hades to operate. So someone has to go to the entrance of hades and try to get as many people in the queue as possible so the train can fill up
Wisconsin Dells slogan is the "waterpark capital of the world." Too funny that you two didnt know about the dells before you went. Just went for the coasters. I don't think anyone goes to Wis Dells for the few coasters there... except you two! 😂 I hope you both took some time to check out the downtown area shops, restaurants, and took a tour on the Wisconsin Ducks (amphibious vehicles) there to see the beautiful views and bluffs aling the Wisconsin river. The Dells has so much to offer besides those 5 small coasters. 😂

I think Gravity Group coasters are fantastic, intense and aggressive. Park maintenance seems to be an issue with Hades.
I think the park is to blame for Hades roughness, not Gravity Group. The Voyage, for example, is glass smooth from constant retracking done by the park. However, that could be the benefit of the PTC trains as well. Nonetheless, great video!

The Timberliner trains are definitely a major part of the problem
sure you can blame the park but Gravity Group's MineBlower at Funspot is just as brutally rough(before the RMC 208 retrack)....
it needed the RMC treatment after only 5 years of operation

I’ve waited so long for this vlog from Mt Olympus for your reactions on Hades 360 !!! Sorry but Gravity Group do make some outstanding coasters but those Timberliners need to go or at least redesigned as they are awful, ok on smaller family coasters like Wood Express but on Mine Blower and others…….no thanks lol

As a Wisconsinite myself and someone who has visited Mt. Olympus numerous times, I just want to apologize that you had to subject yourself to the absolute horrors of this park.

Same thought from this Wisconsinite too. The Dells is for waterparks (cough cough... Noah's Ark or nothing... cough cough) and should stick to what they do well!

Pegasus is like someone's first go at designing a coaster on RCT/Planet Coaster
I think it was built to fit around a kart track that has since been removed, hence why it looks like that.

Loving the USA road trip vlogs slowly but surely catching up, we are off to Flamingo land tomorrow should be a nice day but I will only be going on Velocity, the rest of the rides seem a little intense for me hahaha

I love how both zeus and hades 360 are next to eachother! Its like the 2 greek gods are battling one another
i always start with Zeus and then head to Hades 360 afterward. if you are a single rider, they often ask for a single rider and you can skip the vast majority of the line if you luck out lmao

@@ThemeParkWorldwide Canada’s Wonderland is the same way. I went last year and I was sitting in the seat of the small kids coaster and the ride op saw I didn’t have a kid beside me and made me get off.

I think the main issue with Hades 360 is less to do with Gravity Group, and more to do with Mount Olympus' terrible record of maintaining the thing. The ride has been in need of a retrack for seemingly a decade now, and they thought they could just throw Timberliner's on it and fix all the roughness issues it had with the PTC's.
Gravity Group's tend to be aggressive coasters, yes. But that unbearably rough is horrific, and only falls on the park. Perfect example is, Voyage at Holiday World, is probably the only ride more insane than Hades 360, and it runs relatively fine (a bit rough in spots), compared to it.

Actually good to see the park looking a bit better than it did a few years ago. When I last went Hades was the smoothest and most re-rideable coaster there! Zeus was quite possible the worst woodie I'd ever ridden and the rest of the coasters were almost as bad! Hopefully they can do to Hades whatever they've done to the other rides to make them rideable! I also rode both versions Hades (with and without inversion) albeit with a PTC train and thought that the inversion neither made it better or worse just different!
Perhaps on a future trip you could take a day to explore places like Wisconsin Dells (Branson Missouri is a similar place) as there's all sorts of things to visit (aside from all the water parks and crazy golf there are walkthroughs, dark rides, probably some small coasters, wacky museums) but it's but it's hard to know what's where and what's good.

I visited Mt. Olympus with my family in 2006, and even then, the ramp into the Trojan horse was closed due to safety concerns. It's a shame because it's an iconic sight from the road that attracts people to the park. They should fix that and also address the issues with Hades. I understand the need to lay down on a hard surface after a third ride, especially if you sit towards the back! It was rough before they added the inversion and new trains. I haven't ridden it since. It's one of the few coasters people from my hometown, 2.5 hours west, know about because The Dells is a popular local vacation spot. Hades looks amazing from the road, and the park concept is there, but it feels unfinished (i.e. such as hyper-themed archway next to a plain building). Wisconsin Dells is a tourist trap full of gimmicks, and unfortunately, Mt. Olympus, including Hades, reflects that mentality. I agree that it has a great layout, but it needs re-tracking or an RMC conversion to address the roughness and make it enjoyable to ride again. IMO, Mt. Olympus has more to offer than Fun Spot Atlanta, and an RMC'd Hades would greatly attract visitors since it's the only theme park/amusement park in The Dells.

Hades 360 is a elite wooded coaster but you really should just ride it once pre day if you care about your back 😂

You really missed something if you didn’t give Cyclops a go in the back car. Quite a contrast to the front. And I wish you could’ve experienced Avalanche, the little woodie that was at a “park” just up the road (2004 - 2017). It put all the Mt Olympus attractions to shame.

There is one of those spinning water slides in Poland at a place called Aqua Park Reda. Haven’t been but seen it online. Might be worth a visit when your next over there!
OMG, a roller coaster that actually made Shawn cry uncle, LOL! Looks like Shawn won a couple of battles, but Hades won the war. In all seriousness, though, it's always a shame when a bad coaster could be great with a little tweaking. I suspect that this park may not have the cash flow it would take to fund an RMC makeover, but I'd love them to prove me wrong!
Should come back to Australia! To explore movie world 🌎 there’s so much stuff now and dreamworld with new attractions like the new redisended tower drop and etc more! P.S AMAZING VIDEO!

Great Vlog as always Shawn and Charlotte, Shawn I truly feel sorry for you that you were in massive pain after your 2nd ride on Hades 360. You did the right thing by having a 5 minute break
They used to have faster / more powerful carts, for some reason they got these junk carts that can't make it up the horse ramp anymore. Hade's 360 is like what "The Beast" at Kings Island used to be, so rough it's nearly unridable. However The Beast has been retracked and it's amazing now, Can't wait for you guys to ride it later in the trip, if you haven't already.
How does Hades360 compare to Tonnerre 2 zeus? That is the only big GG I've done that is quite rough

Another good vlog, shame Hades was a back breaker, agree that if that is the case, yes 100% should be retracked, although its called Hades. It shouldn't be harming people with uncomfortableness, it should still be a comfortable ride for all to safely ride while experiencing the coaster safely. Yes, think a retrack is needed on this 100%, think new trains. Would love to see something like Hades in the UK, but not uncomfortable, but comfortable for all who ride and be safer. But with inversion, looks an epic coaster. But yeah, 100% either RMC or GCI Wooden replacement. Shame you couldn't go up horse track, would of been interesting to see that aswell views as you were speeding around. Also would of been a tick off, but looks like might have to return for that in future if ever visit again? Love the drop and turn on Cyclops, really would love to be there riding, hopefully one day? But we shall see? But nice vlog, really enjoyed and look forward to next video in future. 😀👍

& Gravity Group can make smooth coasters now with their pre-cut track! They just need to give Mt. Olympus a discount so that they can make hades 360 bearable!

as someone that this is technically one of my home parks I am sorry you got so beat up by the rides. it the definition of a small local park but not in a good way. we have a couple of good coasters but they come at the cost. hopefully someday they will add a new dry ride. you are right on the indoor spinner but that hasn't been around for many years after an unfortunate incident. also they used to ride threw the horse at the go kart track but I have heard there a issue with the structural integrity that have closed it to more karts. not sure why they haven't tried to fix it.

39:36 The horse hasn't been used for at least 3 years before the pandemic, maybe longer. A lot of TH-cam vloggers are not happy about not being able to ride on top of the horse and are forced to go under it. Might be a safety issue going on the track up there.

pegasus seems so jarring, like imagine trying to relax in a sunbed in front of the pool and hearing rattling and screaming behind you😭 also, i think that swing ride was an upcharge because there were cameras recording the rider's reactions so you would have to pay to record??

Going to Mt Olympus and not riding Cyclops in the back row is an absolute fail.
I rode hades 360 in 2021.. I complained about it. I love this fast ride - ZEUS AND HADES 360° ARE VERY AGGRESSIVE TODAY! KEEP YOUR HANDS DOWN TO ENSURE SAFE RIDES. Me, irelyn farrell and jack Farrell visited the park 3 times before i’m gonna go back with my mom and irelyn farrell after i earned 1000 tickets from good days at school with my eyes open throughout the rest of the days without attempting to close them after my brain’s comfortable dreams from saving melatonin and not wasting it in 1 week before summer ends on September 23, 2023
Dale Earnhardt Sr. And Dale Earnhardt Jr. We’re both alive when cyclops, Pegasus and Zeus opened at Mt. Olympus the park and Dale Earnhardt Jr. Was alive when all roller coasters opened at Mt. Olympus the park including hades 360° the best ride in the park ever since i’ve seen him in 2019 and 2020

I'm grateful for the coverage you've given this park, and Hades 360 in particular. I only hope they are able to take the criticism to heart and take steps to improve that ride. I was able to ride it before the inversion, i think, and it was brutal then. Here's hoping they see fit to invest in that ride as a bona fide attraction to the park and resort which are overall really well themed and fun.

That was the most unattractive amusement park I’ve ever seen. Yikes! Definitely not a theme park. Many parks push “theme”park but that one was awful in theming.
Late to the game…. I rode that ride once then once again. I really wanted to like it…. I received about six bruises in the ride, the most noticeable on my right side below my armpit was about 10cm at its widest.
Hope your Back gets better Shawn I don't like Mt. Olympus the coasters are super rough glad you two survive the park!! Just looking at Hades give me back spazams lol!!

You should have done Medusa. Queue was only 20 minutes when full and it was one of the best water slide experiences I’ve ever done…
Bet it isn't as bad as grand national at blackers last week. Worst I've ever ridden it. It actually shut after our ride so must have been reaching limits

Kinda silly that the giant swing is an up charge when you can get a similar experience on those Giant S&S swings at many parks for free and for longer
I complained about hades 360’s experience when I first went on it for the first time in 2021
Hades360 is in my Top 5, an epic adventure into hell where the coaster actively tries to kill you!
I rode hades 360° in 2021 for the first time and I got a concussion from it which was risky and not funny
