    Stretching a canvas onto a frame is easier than people think. The smaller the frame the easier it is. Use the pliars but careful not to tear the canvas. Use a long reach stapler to tack it down to the wood. Fold the corners in to make it neat. It's not at all complicated. Framing is more complicated.

    Hi! What colors did you use for this painting? It really helps to see your palette and how you mix and how much paint you take. Can we please have that for us learners?

      @@EasyOilPainting wow! Thanks a ton! I followed your instructions and I love the way it has turned out! My boat seems a little too windy though but I'm so surprised at my attempt! The thing with your instructions is that it helps me build confidence in my own self. I stopped painting after a personal setback and your painting videos inspired me to get back and it makes it easy, I did try a painting before but I got too overwhelmed and thought the setback is still affecting me and lost confidence but following your footsteps made me feel more comfortable. You have no idea what big a service you're doing for people like me, helping us heal and also gain confidence.

    Thank you for that quick education on canvases. Currently I use spray adhesive to affix my canvas to double sided corrugated plastic. Are you using raw canvas or
    raw sized canvas? How are you fastening the corners of the frame?
    Thank you once again. I'll get on with the remainder of the video.

      I use raw canvas. I dont size it ..dont need to really once you prime it well. I use a strong stapler to fasten the canvas to the frame...thank you Cheryl

    Awesome painting! I'm two months in doing wet on wet technique. Do you think using liquid white as the medium would work if trying this painting? Thanks.

    • @EasyOilPainting
      @EasyOilPainting  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You could use liquid white but it may loose the vibrancy of the colours as you mix...but yes do try it...

    I'm curious. I've never liked using turpentine (Mostly due to smell). I'm about to paint my first sunset for a painting class. Can I substitute the coat of linseed oil/turpentine w/ liquid clear, even if it takes longer to dry? or should I mix linseed oil w/ the paint as I go?

    • @EasyOilPainting
      @EasyOilPainting  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes you can use liquid clear no problem. It just gets a little too slippery so use it sparingly...

    Are you mixing linseed into the blue magenta and black as you go?

    • @EasyOilPainting
      @EasyOilPainting  ปีที่แล้ว

      Just a little turps with linseed oil mixed in already.. it makes a great medium.
