It's quite entertaining to witness someone figure out puzzles and find little secrets and sometimes lore bits, and genshin has a lot of it. I hope you enjoy the game enough to go through the whole story, because while I personally very much enjoyed the earlier quests, later ones are just on a whole another level

@@FeralCabbage Yep. And the yellow rabbit doll he throws is a Homu from Honkai Impact 3rd (Mihoyo's previous game). He also throws cabbages (reference to Ai-chan also from HI3, whose head looks like a cabbage). Mihoyo games often have such easter eggs referencing their other games. Honkai Star Rail has a lot of Genshin references, for example.
We don't actually hate Amber personality, She's a very wholesome character. What most people hate about her is her play style because compare to most character, she is hard to play (tho there's a giga chad rare breed who main her) We also have the 50/50 gang who we hate for ruining pity and the face of this gang is Qiqi but personality wise we adore them all. It just that we don't want to see them often when wishing for limited character... (Unless intended. I always welcome Qiqi + Tighnari cons but I don't want Diluc and Dehya because I don't even use Claymore besides Chongyun) Well if you want controversial character who you either love or hate, it's Childe, Ei, Yae, Wanderer so far... (And future harbinger playable)

Took me WAY too long to figure out when I started the game 😅 This episode was loads of fun, can't wait for more! I totally forgot how different Paimon’s voice is at the beginning. I’m also enjoying seeing someone play it for the first time without it being sponsored and just showing off characters. Reminds me of my first time playing. Also the immediate aggression toward Timmie is the peak Genshin experience.
Don’t be forced to do everything on video! You can definitely just explore the world on your own time. Main quests (Archon quests) should probably be on video, but do what you want!
For now, I want to try and get my first reaction to everything on camera. I feel that, eventually, it will become like clockwork and the uploads will slow down. For now, though, I'm loving the process!
@@FeralCabbage A lot of people really love watching others explore so that's great. It's unfortunately a really rare type of content on youtube because every big streamer and youtuber never show those parts. It's refreshing to see someone actually being immersed in the game world.

@@jbchua1097 I’d advise beginners to take the game slowly and try not to rush through the content. Save your fragile resin for when you reach ar45 as you get better drops, and try to focus on building 1-2 characters at a time instead of trying to build a ton at once as it can get overwhelming^^
I hope you enjoy the game. The world building and lore is really well done - not to mention the characters are all really likeable and interesting. It also updates every few weeks so its interesting to see the story develop over time And people tend to really like Ambers personality but her playstyle isnt very popular.
I LOVE this game so far. The lore is a big reason why! I love Amber's playstyle, but I imagine that, with the sheer amount of characters in this game, she might fall to the wayside. For now, at least, I love Amber!

I dont know what it is with seeing new people starting Genshin for the first time, but its awesome. The Genshin community as a whole seems to really like watching new players start their journey. Seeing them beeing this excited over every small bit reminds me of the time I started. It was magical.
Such a great video, I already can't wait for part 2. Genshin has its problems but overall the game is such an enjoyable experience. So cool to see new players try it out.
It was fun watching someone new play Genshin and btw you weren't far off from there being a chest in the starting area it was actually on rock out in the sea close to the first checkpoint you unlocked but was just well hidden, hope you enjoy the game if you continue to play it and find characters you love playing, I've been playing since 1.0 so if you ever want any advice I would be happy to try to help, wish you the best man.

@@FeralCabbage The servers are crossplatform for consoles and PC's just that if you pick one server you can't add someone from a different server for like Europe and America, which they should do would be great if people could just add anyone from any server.

34:55 that's an unusual hilichurl which has a very low chance of spawning in 12 random places every 6 hrs. I've never encountered one. Oh and also elements are complex. Every element is basically good against others. Like inflicting water on fire ppl triggers vaporize dealing more damage, but inflicting fire on water ppl does the same doing the same dmg.

Oh the universal experience of talking to timmy and immediately wanting to attack him lmao As a fellow bow enthusiast, I love how much you use amber btw. Also, when you get to the point where you can consistently level characters, you don't really have to listen to what other people say in terms of which character is "good" or not, there's many characters in this game that are considered "the worst" characters in the game that I still leveled because I enjoy their character. This game is overall not very difficult, you can play whoever you want to play!
I love that you actually explored a lot of the time people just blindly follow Paimon through the first stages of the game and miss some of that fun stuff you found like the Unusual Hilichurl and stuff definitely keep with that, I’m AR56 and have been playing for ages and there’s probably still exploration functions I don’t know about lol

Oh my guy it will be an addiction I have been playing genshin since 2021 and I can't imagine my life without it to be honest I was so hooked to it from the very beginning (I'm such an exploration and fantasy addict) although ofc it is no THE best game there's some things they could have done better but I can't just quit this game even if I could because I have so many memories with genshin that really precious to me I started playing with mobile phone and around January this year it couldn't handle it anymore and I was really sad to be honest. Believe it or not 4 months later in June I saved money and bought myself a gaming laptop just for genshin. This is how bad it is

Im impressed how you got the mechanics of the game quickly, it took me quite a while to understand the elements and how to fight hilichurls alongside slimes, also, for if you dont know, primogems are a currency in genshin used for wishing for characters, weapons, etc. to see new players on genshin, it reminds me of my times!

It's also my first time playing genshin and a game like ever. I'm seriously a noob, but the beautiful art and story captivated me, so I was willing to try to play it. Whenever I go to a new area, I'm like, what the hell is this place?! I have so many places to go it's kind of overwhelming. Update: I’m doing quests in Inazuma. It was foolish of me to think that the mountain quest was really hard, I feel stupid doing the puzzles 😭💀 2nd update: I'm doing Sumeru quests, it's so long 😅
Have fun playing!!! It’s always so nice to see new players experience it for the first time ☺️ I think the number one advice is to TAKE YOUR TIME. Don’t ever feel rushed to do something and just immerse yourself in the environment and the story. Try and save materials in the beginning. There are some world quests that are REALLY long so don’t feel compelled to finish it all in one sitting. If your ever interested in the lore of the game, I highly recommend Ashikai on TH-cam. She is hands down the best lore channel for Genshin and goes into detail about a lot of things, but also has some good summery videos. But there are plenty of other lore channels that I like😆 Hope you have fun!!
genshin is a comfort game fr.. i still remember the day i first play it. love everything bout it, aside from the characters and stuff, what got me staying is the beautiful scenery and oh, can we talk about the music? the music so beautiful, the sound design is just so cheffs kiss👌
@@FeralCabbage Also, since you mentioned you don't know what the artifacts do, there's little explanations on the right side, under the substats! There's always an effect for a 2-piece set and a 4-piece set, with the fifth slot being able to be used for filler. The ones you equipped on Aether, for example, increase his HP by 1000 as a 2-piece set!

No one hate amber becaus eof her personality, she's the only character who really helped as looking for our sister. She was hated because she was weak as a in-game character.

genshin has a very deep lore, the begiing areas of the game are meh in terms of story telling but the lore goes harddd. genshin maybe branded as a kids game by some but the lore is anythiing but, in later areas the worlbuilding and lore deals with incest, canibalism, genoicde, slavery, murder etc (in terms of the more mature topics) i still remeber about this one kid whos arms were chopped off and his tounge was ripped and he was stuffed in a golden chalice as a sacrifce in a big side quest. its kind of like dark souls in a way, to discover lore you need to read books, and other materials and do side quests and stuff, there are side quests that are legit 13-15 hours long! i hope you keep playing genshin! im no expert but i know a lot about the lore of this game so if you want to learn more i would be glad to help!

32:55 Oh hey, it’s the Unusual Hilichurl! The Unusual Hilichurl will spawn once every twelve hours in 1 of 14 possible locations. It’s pretty cool you found it on your first day playing! Fun fact! The Unusual Hilichurl is basically the self-insert of Dawei, Hoyoverse’s CEO, in the game. :)
If you truly love lore and subtle world building from environment/items/descriptions/random dialogues, i think you would love the game. Almost everything has some lore/descriptions (Just to name a few: Furniture, artifacts, weapons, geographical viewpoints, enemy descriptions, food, materials, random lying piece of paper somewhere in the world that is not pointed out by any quests etc.). And, since it's an ongoing game, it has a benefit of engagement through theories and speculation of what might happen in next version or even at the end of the game. Hope you'll like it!

@@FeralCabbage Yep, one character has like 8 furniture pieces with lore bits about them. It's rarely anything super important, but it does give more depth to the characters and the world. Some event furniture (i think that is added later to in-game shop) has little side dialogues/stories in their descriptions even, mostly for fun.
They added a new quest in Fontaine that lets you collect pages of a book to slowly piece together SUPER juicy lore. I love it, the lore in this game is so fun to find.. feels like you are always learning something new and finding out old theories of yours and the people you know, are actually true.. and what's crazier is you can even piece together even MORE lore by playing other, seemingly unrelated games by Hoyoverse. It's so crazy

True, tho she could be a support, Amber remains my casual F2P sibling's main DPS since last year (AR35). It's undeniable that she starts out much stronger than MC. Her utility is basically *indispensable* for many areas & so important in the beginning. Well, all starter party members are important at the start (Including after Chapter 1. Yes, I know what I said) If I'm not mistaken, she is prob one of the more recurring characters in Mondstadt stories? & her *EN VA's performance* is consistent throughout these 2 yrs+(?). Praiseworthy, since it's hard for some characters given the long breaks in-between their appearances.

@@FeralCabbage Yep. And the yellow rabbit doll he throws is a Homu from Honkai Impact 3rd (Mihoyo's previous game). He also throws cabbages (reference to Ai-chan also from HI3, whose head looks like a cabbage). Mihoyo games often have such easter eggs referencing their other games. Honkai Star Rail has a lot of Genshin references, for example.

We don't actually hate Amber personality, She's a very wholesome character. What most people hate about her is her play style because compare to most character, she is hard to play (tho there's a giga chad rare breed who main her)
We also have the 50/50 gang who we hate for ruining pity and the face of this gang is Qiqi but personality wise we adore them all. It just that we don't want to see them often when wishing for limited character... (Unless intended. I always welcome Qiqi + Tighnari cons but I don't want Diluc and Dehya because I don't even use Claymore besides Chongyun)

I totally forgot how different Paimon’s voice is at the beginning. I’m also enjoying seeing someone play it for the first time without it being sponsored and just showing off characters. Reminds me of my first time playing.
Also the immediate aggression toward Timmie is the peak Genshin experience.
Don’t be forced to do everything on video! You can definitely just explore the world on your own time. Main quests (Archon quests) should probably be on video, but do what you want!
For now, I want to try and get my first reaction to everything on camera. I feel that, eventually, it will become like clockwork and the uploads will slow down. For now, though, I'm loving the process!

@@jbchua1097 I’d advise beginners to take the game slowly and try not to rush through the content. Save your fragile resin for when you reach ar45 as you get better drops, and try to focus on building 1-2 characters at a time instead of trying to build a ton at once as it can get overwhelming^^
I hope you enjoy the game. The world building and lore is really well done - not to mention the characters are all really likeable and interesting. It also updates every few weeks so its interesting to see the story develop over time
And people tend to really like Ambers personality but her playstyle isnt very popular.

It was fun watching someone new play Genshin and btw you weren't far off from there being a chest in the starting area it was actually on rock out in the sea close to the first checkpoint you unlocked but was just well hidden, hope you enjoy the game if you continue to play it and find characters you love playing, I've been playing since 1.0 so if you ever want any advice I would be happy to try to help, wish you the best man.

34:55 that's an unusual hilichurl which has a very low chance of spawning in 12 random places every 6 hrs. I've never encountered one. Oh and also elements are complex. Every element is basically good against others. Like inflicting water on fire ppl triggers vaporize dealing more damage, but inflicting fire on water ppl does the same doing the same dmg.

As a fellow bow enthusiast, I love how much you use amber btw. Also, when you get to the point where you can consistently level characters, you don't really have to listen to what other people say in terms of which character is "good" or not, there's many characters in this game that are considered "the worst" characters in the game that I still leveled because I enjoy their character. This game is overall not very difficult, you can play whoever you want to play!
I love that you actually explored a lot of the time people just blindly follow Paimon through the first stages of the game and miss some of that fun stuff you found like the Unusual Hilichurl and stuff definitely keep with that, I’m AR56 and have been playing for ages and there’s probably still exploration functions I don’t know about lol

I have been playing genshin since 2021 and I can't imagine my life without it to be honest I was so hooked to it from the very beginning (I'm such an exploration and fantasy addict) although ofc it is no THE best game there's some things they could have done better but I can't just quit this game even if I could because I have so many memories with genshin that really precious to me
I started playing with mobile phone and around January this year it couldn't handle it anymore and I was really sad to be honest.
Believe it or not 4 months later in June I saved money and bought myself a gaming laptop just for genshin. This is how bad it is
I bought my gaming PC for Skyrim/Sims/TH-cam! You don't have to be ashamed for being passionate about something you enjoy!
Genshin seems really good so far, so who knows! I might get as addicted as you xD

Im impressed how you got the mechanics of the game quickly, it took me quite a while to understand the elements and how to fight hilichurls alongside slimes, also, for if you dont know, primogems are a currency in genshin used for wishing for characters, weapons, etc. to see new players on genshin, it reminds me of my times!

Have fun playing!!! It’s always so nice to see new players experience it for the first time ☺️ I think the number one advice is to TAKE YOUR TIME. Don’t ever feel rushed to do something and just immerse yourself in the environment and the story. Try and save materials in the beginning. There are some world quests that are REALLY long so don’t feel compelled to finish it all in one sitting.
If your ever interested in the lore of the game, I highly recommend Ashikai on TH-cam. She is hands down the best lore channel for Genshin and goes into detail about a lot of things, but also has some good summery videos. But there are plenty of other lore channels that I like😆

@@FeralCabbage Also, since you mentioned you don't know what the artifacts do, there's little explanations on the right side, under the substats! There's always an effect for a 2-piece set and a 4-piece set, with the fifth slot being able to be used for filler. The ones you equipped on Aether, for example, increase his HP by 1000 as a 2-piece set!

genshin has a very deep lore, the begiing areas of the game are meh in terms of story telling but the lore goes harddd. genshin maybe branded as a kids game by some but the lore is anythiing but, in later areas the worlbuilding and lore deals with incest, canibalism, genoicde, slavery, murder etc (in terms of the more mature topics) i still remeber about this one kid whos arms were chopped off and his tounge was ripped and he was stuffed in a golden chalice as a sacrifce in a big side quest. its kind of like dark souls in a way, to discover lore you need to read books, and other materials and do side quests and stuff, there are side quests that are legit 13-15 hours long! i hope you keep playing genshin!

If you truly love lore and subtle world building from environment/items/descriptions/random dialogues, i think you would love the game. Almost everything has some lore/descriptions (Just to name a few: Furniture, artifacts, weapons, geographical viewpoints, enemy descriptions, food, materials, random lying piece of paper somewhere in the world that is not pointed out by any quests etc.).
And, since it's an ongoing game, it has a benefit of engagement through theories and speculation of what might happen in next version or even at the end of the game.

@@FeralCabbage Yep, one character has like 8 furniture pieces with lore bits about them. It's rarely anything super important, but it does give more depth to the characters and the world. Some event furniture (i think that is added later to in-game shop) has little side dialogues/stories in their descriptions even, mostly for fun.

They added a new quest in Fontaine that lets you collect pages of a book to slowly piece together SUPER juicy lore. I love it, the lore in this game is so fun to find.. feels like you are always learning something new and finding out old theories of yours and the people you know, are actually true.. and what's crazier is you can even piece together even MORE lore by playing other, seemingly unrelated games by Hoyoverse. It's so crazy

True, tho she could be a support, Amber remains my casual F2P sibling's main DPS since last year (AR35).
It's undeniable that she starts out much stronger than MC.
Her utility is basically *indispensable* for many areas & so important in the beginning.
Well, all starter party members are important at the start

If I'm not mistaken, she is prob one of the more recurring characters in Mondstadt stories?
& her *EN VA's performance* is consistent throughout these 2 yrs+(?). Praiseworthy, since it's hard for some characters given the long breaks in-between their appearances.
