I've not tried the water growing method but you can rescue a leaf that's rotting by detaching it, trim the mushy parts off, apply an antifungal powder like cinnamon (yup cinnamon) and put them into a dry compost mix for succulents like house plant compost mixed with grit or gravel or pearlite 50/50 Pray. 🙏😂 I'm in England and it's difficult to grow stuff in the cold/damp housing tho.

Thank you sooo much for this video, it was so helpful for me!! I’ve had a snake plant with root rot just sitting soilless to dry out, I wasn’t sure if it was even worth trying to save, but you have given me the confidence to give it a go! I really appreciated the step by step approach as I am not very experienced in repotting (I tend to keep them in one pot until they die and then give up 😟 trying to be a better plant mom!!)

Hi. You didn't say whether you did anything to the stems before putting them into water jars (ie clipping rinsing...)

Also, succulents don't often have big roots so don't worry it they're not very big in the root area. I was surprised at first. They can live in quite small pots compared to other plants.

Love those white pots - especially how the bottom sits perfectly. Would you mind sharing where you purchased them?

How long did it take for the salvaged leaves to sprout roots?

Hi! Did you cut the leaves and put them in water or did you put the whole plant you salvaged in water?

Hi Kate, I'm in the same boat where my snake plant is possibly growing in the midst of some unhealthy roots, and I'd love to start afresh with them to give them a chance at thriving.

How long were they in the jar before they got roots like that? Those look great!

What should I do if the root ball has rot on it? It has a pup growing from it so I’m unsure what to cut off of it. Some roots are healthy though so I’m wondering if it’s best to just leave it how it is and put it into water?

My snake plant just got root rot too.. gonna have to try this😩 question, why did you put a pot with the plant inside another one? Is it because the bigger one did have a drain hole?
