    Amy Lee's part is from the perspective of "mother earth", oli plays all of humanity. It's a song about humanity destroying it's home

      The biblical real sounding descriptions, they're representative of the destruction caused through the passage of time. Both to humanity and to the world.

    He said in an interview this song is a song about Nature and it’s Mother Nature and humanity talking to eachother as it’s dying so it’s a double meaning it’s supposed to be a song about nature disguised as a love song

    It's about Nature-Human relationship. Amy represents nature. When I think like this all lyrics settle down and it's so hard to hold back tears when you think about what human did to mother nature.

    This Song is Epic ... the most stunning track of the new BMTH album ...
    With Amy Lee, all the songs become sick and legendary ...

  • @xxy730
    @xxy730 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    as amy lee is mother earth and oli is representing humanity, you can say the lines "your skin starts to peel from your bones" and "fingernails fall out" can definietly taken literally. If we destroy this planet and nature will die, there will not be enough nourishment left for the population. So, malnatrition can cause all these things. And I think by "but look how the bruises show" can be interpreted as all the damage we already have caused to nature. "dont wanna have to bury you" refers to how humanity will die if we continue like this, even if mother earth doesn't really want to. Later on she says "haunting your own house, nothing to loose", I see this as natural catastrophes like hurricanes and floods that will increase due to climate change. Mother earth is "haunting" us, because we can't seem to change in oder to safe her, and therefore us.

    Love how genuine you are about literally everything, it's hilarious! Keep up the great work!
    Edit: I forgot to mention that this song is about the relationship between Mother Nature and Humanity, which explains the lyrics.

  • @lucasdasilvapinto783
    @lucasdasilvapinto783 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    It's so funny cause you were so right and so wrong at the same time hahaha those were not metaphors as Amy represented mother nature and Oli human kind. If you listen this song from this perspective, it all makes sense. Nature is going to kill us all because we are abusive towards "her". The world is not gonna end, but human kind is. "Bet it feels pretty real when you're skin starts to peel from the bone" means that human kind will only realize the shit we've done when it's already too late.

    This song was written by Oli, the main singer of BMTH about mother
    nature/earth/GAIA. He wanted to make an impact in a different way
    through these words. Amy is representing Gaia, and Olly is representing
    humanity. This is Not about a relationship in the human sense... it is
    our relationship with the Earth. And it is heartbreaking...

  • @louisenich
    @louisenich 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    My favourite thing about this song is everyone re-explaining the meaning across every single video even though hundreds of people have already mentioned it. Literally just scroll down people who don’t need to explain it.

    All the EP is referred in some way to the pandemic and its effects on people, on mind, on politics, on health and that song is not an exception. Turned out, just in the end of the ep, that the virus is just us, and the one who is sick is Earth. Sorry if my english is a little broken but is not my mothertongue

    Well you know the meaning now a live seen people already say. It's very chilling. And both Oli and Amy are huge on saving the planet, and this was their way of trying to get this across. People do need to stop a think what's going on in this world. Great reaction considering you don't like reacting to this kind of stuff.

    Great symphonic metal by this Thunisian band, especially with their video-trilogy "Believer", "Dance" and "No Holding Back" released recently. The same epic stuff as Nightwish. The band calls their sound 'Desert Metal'...
    I only discovered them accidentally while looking for progressive symphonic metal and as a die-hard NW Army member I am impressed!
    Keep lit!
