This is a monster of a car, it certainly belies its age, not looking hopelessly outdated. It certainly displays that image of opulence and prestige, that only a car like this can. The good old DPF removal. The usual route of a owner or mechanic who would rather get rid of it rather than try and understand how they work. As a ruff figure, 9 out of 10 issues with a DPF are caused by an underlying issue of some sort. In most cases a blocked DPF is a symptom not the cause. Totally unrelated slight rant but it is what it is.
My son's best friend has a Q7, and is looking to move it on, as it is a bit of a high maintenance queen. My son told him about my little Honda CR-Z hybrid and how cheap it is to run, so he is investigating getting a hybrid that suits his needs. My brother has an X5 3.5 diesel twin turbo which is a rapid car and is very comfortable, but the mpg is horrendous.

Q7's generally seem like a nightmare to sell with warranty. Buyers guilt is huge, insurance, road tax & wider running costs on these things are just silly, whilst offering little of that 'prestige' brand appeal people go for these days. Used to see them everywhere when they came out, then they dissepared overnight.
Why are people making disparaging comments about a vehicle they aren't interested in or can't afford to own? It is the prefect vehicle for someone and since they are paying the associated costs it is their business how they spend their money.
This Q7 is one of those cars that I’d love to drive but not own as I think I’d just be waiting for the next thing to break (expensively) - how does it pass an MOT with the EML on?

Hi Joe. That Q7 seems to be a Well sorted Car in all fairness. I would love to get it up in the Air to see if if it looks as good. I bet it's not leaking anything and the C.V joints are Newish lol. Great Score. I wouldn't mind driving it for awhile, but after the Second day I would be Broke from buying Petrol lol. Have you still got that Smart Car Joe, because i need it! 😮😮 lol 😅🇨🇮. I won't lie, I hate it. Big thirsty truck that will cost a fortune to maintain and will be a pig to park in our narrow British car park spaces. Worse still it isn't factory standard, so Audi dealers will look down their noses at it. However for a grand it is tremendous value in this market. Tailgating bell ends who want to make people think they earn a lot more than they actually do, form an orderly queue!
@@Rednerb64 Owned all the premium brands over the years Audi, BM, Jag, Range ,Lexus etc etc. All low mile big engined top spec models and the Audi's were always the most unreliable and underwhelming to own/drive.
Yes and would fail MoT (if access to undercarriage visible and emissions test could fail anyway). Technically, he shouldn’t be driving it blatantly telling everyone it has no DPF 😂

A mate of mine had one these in his workshop for repair, the bill came to 9K ! It's now got suspension and other problems, Nightmare vehicle !

Mine passes every year only issue it eats fuel ,tax is high and goes through tyres 😂
