Not going to lie. I've tried chicken a few times and i have never caught anything on it. Maybe I'm using the wrong chicken 😂. I like a challenge, so I'd try again. I always wondered how bluegill would do, if you put cut peices in chicken juice. May add to the attraction 🤷🏼♂️. I am a believer in live and cut bream (bluegill, sunfish, pumpkin seed, goggle eye, shell cracker ect). I'll use that before anything else. I'll even throw skipjack in with my bluegill to cross marinate, which works very successfully. Even putting that lovely smelling chicken juice in bags of cut or whole baits.
You ladies are slaying the cats and its really awesome to watch since i can't fish right now. People under estimate Ohio waters for really great catfish. Y'all are showin em though. Stay slimy Gabby and Ally 👊🏼.
Chicken is a last resort for us usually. It is fun to play with and it all started when you leave your dinner out to unthaw and forget about it oops lol You never really now what they will bite on! We definitely use bream/ gills all the time and is at the top of the list for sure! Never used skipjack before. Thank you and yes Ohio is crazy for cats! Hoping for the big ones soon! 👊

Bluegills are definitely a go to bait but we have had days where we do way better on chicken so it really depends on what they want for sure!
I have a friend who uses chicken. He says it’s important to use fresh chicken, and you should change your bait every half hour. I primarily use blue gill, and I’ve noticed I get more bites on heads. Though you did catch one on a blue gill body piece. Great video, tight lines!
Yeah just depends on what they want some day we do way better on chicken that day was just not it lol
