ACESpark I don't know how I feel about this Quint fight. It gives me bad memories of Scarlet Weather Rhapsody. It's probably reasonable to make him that hard, in a sense wise. We all did mock Quint as the lamest Megaman Killer.
ACESpark I feel keeping both an easier version and a hard version of Quint would be interesting, like have a fight with his easier form to get to grips with his attack patterns and then a harder version later so people can really test their mettle. Again, custom bosses so I assume Quint can be made as hard as this with a little tinkering once the kit comes out.

I am bugged by one thing about the engine: the moment the boss is defeated, the Stage Music instantly resumes. I prefer it to resume after a few seconds or once you reappear back in the Teleport Hub.

Yeah, I just found out about this and snagged the devkit. I'll probably have a working prototype level by the time of the next contest. Is it possible to edit the bosses provided in this one? If not, consider that for the next devkit! I would love to be able to do some Minus-Infinity style things with a couple, especially Gravity Man. I'm also really interested in the idea of pairing two bosses and making their patterns work together. I even have an idea for the Gravity Man modifications that would have him pestering you throughout the level leading up to his new fight, basically like Pharaoh Man did in Minus Infinity. :D
Due to serious issues with Game Maker 8.1 compatibility with.. of all things, modern gaming rigs, they are planning on porting everything, including the final version of MaGMML2 to Game Maker Studio to try and resolve the issue.
0:19. About that Cut Man fight. It looks like you're trying to make those AI's mimick that of their original counterparts. Check this video out by Snupsters. th-cam.com/video/dJYErXANpvc/w-d-xo.html If you're going to ask it, the AI was not changed at all with those Game Genie codes. All it did was get rid of Cut Man's (and Elec Man's) flinching and give him the same invulnerability times as Ice Man, Fire Man, Bomb Man, and Guts Man.
We would be there forever adding each and every robot master when, the vast majority of contestants would be coding their own bosses anyway. So we only coded bosses we thought could provide a good example. Snake Man does not provide a good example of anything complex coding wise. Each boss and their choice is stated right there in the video description.
Ok because if they were used in the official release, then this would be more of a ROM hack since millions were made. I'm just hoping that these are from different games other than the popular ones.
... Charge Man is not part of the Dev Kit. The only Dev Kit boss missing in this video is Top Man, and that is because Top Man was literately added the day before the Dev Kit released and after the bosses were "locked in", because someone had happened to code him in their spare time and Pyro thought "why not add him since he's done."
All 3 Killers and a few Stardroids got added in MaGMML3's devkit. There was also a Wily Tower boss in that devkit. 7, 8, and &Bass are harder to do due to lack of official 8bit sprites and the sheer amount of animation frames required for most of them.
whoever remade the soundtrack fucked it up.... u should just use the nes ost. it cant get any better. now it just sounds like a shitty produced soundtrack that lacks any power and drive. maybe if that person had more skills to make it sound more like megaman, and not like street fighter (it literally sounds like some streetfighter game). in general the sound should be 8bit... but maybe thats just me. i hate how this version sounds, its not mega man...if u kept the 8 bit mega man, u should also use all its sound... thats half the game compare this: 7:02 to THIS: th-cam.com/video/y3t6peqsorE/w-d-xo.html the nes version has more drive, more emotion, and it pushes u more... u could remaster the original versions, get famitracker, export them, load em into any good software and mix them so our ears dont get cancer when we wanna hear em loud... other than that, this project is fuckin epic!!!!
