Bro this shit was incredibly entertaining don’t ever think for a second we don’t enjoy you putting in effort for us, each video allows us all to just forget about the world for a short time. Thank you for doing that for us 🙏🏽
Mate don’t beat yourself up. Regardless of the quality of the product you got the job done and you’ll be learning as you go. Nothing wrong at all with having a crack at things. Keep up the good work, cracking videos.
I for one appreciate seeing someone else struggle with a task and not understand how something simple can be so hard. Really makes me feel like I'm not alone. 🤣
It's videos like this that make you my favorite van guy. Your not afraid to show your failures and believe it or not, that is a huge help to people who want to do van builds. Also its hilarious to watch, thanks for the laughs. Keep up the great work dude.
Every video is important. Don’t let the worry of a boring video deter you. It’s all part of the process and we are here to enjoy each step no matter what. Cheers!
Nothing went drastically wrong Will. The van didn't catch fire! You're not born knowing how to do stuff. You learn by watching and doing. You are doing my friend. Many people talk the talk but few can walk the walk. You are walking mate. Chin up, you're smashing it 👍👍
Your videos are brilliant…You are brave enough to show us the reality of doing this work…we all get it wrong sometimes …You are just honest enough to show it!!…keep going
Will honestly, this is how it actually goes for most of us I'm sure the Pro's don't video their first attempt and if they do it's heavily edited and this is why many people watch your channel ... keeping it real bro
Your personality and comedic value is what drew me to your videos. You have a way that makes you just want to keep watching, even if it is a boring task like replacing a door hinge 🤣 Keep up the good work man!
I've wanted to build my own camper for a few years now. Your videos are the reason I bought an already converted day van instead, I have the same issue when everything goes wrong just because it's me doing it. I even managed to fire a nail through my finger with a nail gun when building a cabinet
That video was like watching myself. If it says on the instructions, 5 minutes, then it's 2 hrs. Forget instructional videos on TH-cam. Nothing ever goes wrong when somebody else does it. Well done. You goy there in the end. I had Remis blinds fitted to my previous motorhome and they lasted 17 years and still going strong
Will I am 60 yrs old and will be following your lead. My attempts could never be posted for viewing as more than f bombs. You are truly amazing and keep it real 💯. I hope you enjoyed Top Gun. Pat yourself on the back big time. Cheers Patsy
Don't be so hard on yourself, it's all a learning process Will, I crash, bang and wallop my way through things but you are constantly learning, good effort mate ... just beep that horn one more time !! 😂🤣 👍🏻
Such a funny video, the horn going off and then when you slid the front blinds together for the first time and the right one instantly rolled open. Brilliant.
Will, watching your videos are pure entertainment value, and its good to get an exercise free six pack through all the laughing. You did a great job putting them blinds up in at the end, you know you have to be extra careful if you paid £500 for such a novel and fragile (low quality) item, hopefully they wont fly out on to your face while driving with your windows open. Can't wait to see your next video as always.
Welcome to my world, I am converting a short wheel base transit, the other day, I had all the stuff I needed and thought good I don't have to go to wickes only for my first cut to be 10 cm short, Wickes here I come. Its nice to see that it's not always sunshine and butterfly's
These videos are not boring to watch , I feel your pain and are quite funny and entertaining to look at. I think it's cos you come across just like a normal bloke. Your quite funny to watch doing these jobs 🤣
I know you weren't too happy with how it all went, but I actually think you did a class job! Thinking back to the early days, you can really see how far you've come using tools - and you even engineered your own fix for the rear view camera so I think you did great. Also, I know you said you wanted to smash everything, but I think you kept a pretty calm head. I'd have absolutely torn the blinds to shreds in anger and given up - so fair play for seeing it through!
8 minutes in and for some reason I'm still watching and 98k other people did too!. :) To be fair, watching anyone do something you can still learn from other people. Fortunately I don't need to replace my hinges. :) Now onto the window blinds!
If it makes you feel any better... Watching ypu f*** up really brightened my day Will and I'm sure I'll be doing the same when I get to building our own van
Absolutely love watching you’re videos, whatever they are about… true tho you don’t have much luck do you bless you, but you always keep trying and get there in the end. All this will be sooo worthwhile when the vans done and you are having a blast while staying in it. Keep up the great work will ! X
Your persistence paid off - enjoyable to watch as ever - the horn honking every now & then was a comedy show 😅 you're helping keep my dream alive of doing a DIY van conversion.
Black out curtains installed just behind the driver and passenger seats. This will give you all the privacy you need plus; they will help with insulation from the heat and cold. And are more stealthy than blinds.
We love you Will. Look at it this way. You don’t learn until you try. An though somethings might be the 1st time doing it can be frustrating you just create some experience into it. So stop beating yourself up mate. An keep building your dream van. Its very impressive so far. An without giving it away. Is the movie Too Gun worth seeing? I keep hearing mix reviews.
Will this is brilliant. This the like "TH-cam vs reality". People like Neil and John are geniuses, but people like you are like most of the population... This is exactly how I am with DIY so thank you. And well done all the best
Suggestion. Fit the rear view mirror back on the window at the height where the factory one would be. Try using the go pro sticky mount adhesive pads. I'm at the starting stages of my second conversion. Watching your videos are useful as I can learn more as when you share your difficulties I can see potential problems and avoid making some natural mistakes which other youtube creators likely edit out. Diesel heater install is tomorrow job for me. Off to rewatch the video Neil and you done earlier lol
Man I love watching your progress on your van. Even if it's a little job of changing a hinge. Gives me inspiration to do all the little boring jobs on my van!
You are giving yourself a hard time when it isn't justified. You fitted them, overcame problems and they look bloody good. Don't be so hard on yourself Will, you did amazing!!
Good sir. That is making chicken salad out of chicken poop. Sometimes there greatest ingenuity comes from stress. You are an inspiration and you have my respect. Great work! Best
Will, has anyone ever told you that you are a natural born comedian... You actually made me laugh with your antics, and I learnt a lot at the same time, so thank you 😊
Everything is a learning curve and you only learn by doing things and when you've done it you should be proud of yourself xx no matter how you got to the end result. ❤❤ liz
Will It wouldnt be a you video without bashing yourself, bodging something or nothing going to plan but this is why we watch it, this is the real unedited vanlife that nobody else shows... never change brother because u have the ability to make people laugh without effort.. van is looking greater with every vid 👍🏻
Probably one of the funniest videos, that I’ve seen for a very long time, thank you for that Will, as that did me a lot of good, I’m always saying to my wife, “that was a pig of a job” please keep it up.
Will I watched the entire video and enjoyed it. Don't tell John, but I only skipped through his how to vid. My great grandfather built his own house making it up as he went along. It's still a good house 100 years later. So best wishes from NZ and keep going.
this is looking so good. I past you at the over lander show but you were busy. this was a good vlog, funny and you are a night mare which is why its funny. keep up the good work xx
Really enjoyed the video, love the editing, you really inspire us to not only continue and persevere with our van build but also in life with our new motto - where there's a Will there's a way. Keep going, you're doing a great job ❤️🚐❤️🚐
Don't worry about it, you managed to fit everything in the end and it all works six months ago you would have gave up with the blinds halfway through and you wouldnt even have attempted the hinge, so you are getting a lot better - well done
We have a version of Remis blinds on our current MH cab side windows. On our previous MH, we had screens which you fixed with press studs. Remis are infinitely better.
I think you mean 270 degrees. The doors would be able to lay flat against the side of the van but you are correct in that you will never need to do that! Great video will
You done an amazing job with those blinds. It’s the first time you have done them, if you were to do them again for a mate you would piss it, no problem!!! And the reversing camera looks Awesome, we’ll improvised, I can see the inner Neil shining through!! Well done mate!!
Your videos are great mate they are exactly what they are supposed to be all the problems are just reality most people cut most of the video out and show every job complete withing 10minz. your videos are better because it's how things are in the real life not just on TH-cam keep it up
Great job Will. I have to say it’s cool to see someone else who struggles with these diy tasks. I always have the best intentions but usually have the wrong tools or I get ahead of myself and completely miss a step and have to re-do the project. I am interested to see how long those blinds last.
You are doing a brilliant job Will! don't be so hard on yourself. Nobody is as bad as me trying to put things together. When I was fitting a radio head unit I blew the ignition and couldn't start the van and had AA recovery take me to a garage and ended up having to have to reset the software to make the van start! 😅
Love watching you take on stuff like this. And also, may I commend you on being the classiest and most professionally masterful fookin swearer on the the toob? You are my hero mate.
Life's always a learning curve bud, know matter who you are....you always make us laighwith all your cursing. It's become your trade mark mate.....really great entertainment from our point of view... Thanks for cheering us up weekly mate.. Shropshire Andy and Deb 👍
Brilliant, I’m about to try and do my own sprinter conversion and watching your videos apart from the comedy side of it is very informative and an eye opener of what Im about to sign up to 😂
Cracked me up watching this man. I have a Cirtreon Relay LWB and used some of the blackout magnetic blinds which are really sweet. Just take a min to set up each night but it's just something to do haha. Would totally recommend and way cheap too.
Always like your videos, even if its changing a door hinge and fitting some blinds. They are real and that’s what we like, or I like anyway. You’re doing a great job because you roll your sleeves up and give it a go. Keep it up, you’ll get there.
Haven't I mentioned Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance by Robert M. Pirsig? I am sure I have. My Dad recommended it to me when I fist started to work on my first car. He went threw the same shit when he was working on his motorcycle. Dude everybody struggles. My friend Jake would throw tools and scream at the top of his lungs and stomp away. I saw him blow up after snapping a bolt off in the head. It's not just you. We all do it to some degree at the start. It's were your at in the game right now. Your doing fine. This is like when your falling on your ass a lot when you first try to rollerblade. It sucks going through it. Dude what your doing now will help you later for bigger challenges than just a van. It's more about learning about yourself and how you deal with a challenge.
Hello my lovely child, firstly you got the job done and channeled your inner van dad aka Neil, you saw a problem and came up with a solution so hats off to you!!! Proud of you but seriously though…. when you coming home? The house is too quiet and the girls miss you 😢 🐾🐾💕
Bro this shit was incredibly entertaining don’t ever think for a second we don’t enjoy you putting in effort for us, each video allows us all to just forget about the world for a short time. Thank you for doing that for us 🙏🏽

Trust me your videos are never boring.I always eagerly wait and enjoy your content.
My favourite thing about this series with the van build is that it’s very far from Instagram perfect and it’s highly entertaining 😂

Will, you're so fun to watch, stop beating yourself up so much and please stop apologising!!!!! You are amazing and I love watching your videos xxxx
This episode should be made into an Office style series. The accidental horn honks were the best. Always entertaining to watch your videos!
I've wanted to build my own camper for a few years now. Your videos are the reason I bought an already converted day van instead, I have the same issue when everything goes wrong just because it's me doing it. I even managed to fire a nail through my finger with a nail gun when building a cabinet

Haha I’ll save that for the next video
Such a funny video, the horn going off and then when you slid the front blinds together for the first time and the right one instantly rolled open. Brilliant.
Every time I see you fixing something on your van I see myself, proper entertainment 😅
Will, watching your videos are pure entertainment value, and its good to get an exercise free six pack through all the laughing. Good point on the 'Flying out' possibility, That will be on a future video lol (I hope not).
I wish I could get a free six pack haha
Ours have never came out . But they are also crap made . But once you have them you’ll never not have them
It's actually refreshing to see the struggle and not just the good parts of van building. I can almost feel your pain while watching haha.
Nothing is boring about your videos Will … just stay alive 🤗
Haha I’m still going strong
Welcome to my world, I am converting a short wheel base transit, the other day, I had all the stuff I needed and thought good I don't have to go to wickes only for my first cut to be 10 cm short, Wickes here I come. Its nice to see that it's not always sunshine and butterfly's

You did it and u made it to work proud of you . That all it matters and you learn it by urself
I know you weren't too happy with how it all went, but I actually think you did a class job! I would have lost it big time. Everything would have been launched down the road. Hats off to mate for sticking with it.
The best part is the journey bro your videos are so funny and entertaining as hell. Most priceless thing is knowledge. Keep em coming lad🙌🏻
Great entertainment, you’re having a go and showing real things that happen with DIY, keep it up.
Thank you 🙏
Your videos show solutions, one way or the other that’s what make them inspiring and fun to watch

11:53 just sums why I'm sure many of us like to watch these videos - because you show the issues we all face rather than the other van builds you see
Black out curtains installed just behind the driver and passenger seats. This will give you all the privacy you need plus; they will help with insulation from the heat and cold. And are more stealthy than blinds.
But then he’d lose access to his swivel seat when closed.
@@JustDaniel6764: good point. All he does then is drape them over the back of the swivelled chair(s) when they are turned towards the back. 👍
@@gordonmculloch4904 suppose yeah would work draped over the back when in swivel 😀
Will you crack me up for reals ! Real van life build is never as easy as it seems ! You will be a pro when this is all done !! 🤙🏾✌🏾
PMSL it was like watching a classic Norman Wisdom film but boy do I love watching your videos and you and Neil make a good double act
I think its good to make these videos. Shows ppl that we can all do it. Just need time and patience. Well done i think the blinds look great
Thanks Will good entertainment for me and we have all been there nice to watch someone else struggle but get there in the end.

This video is one of the funnest videos I've ever watched. You should be making sickcoms.
Thanks 😃😃😃
Not sure what's funnier, the video or the spelling of Sitcoms
@@neilmick6778 properly both 😆
Mate love how normal you are! You inspire a lot of people to give things ago! Keep it up 👍

Your videos are NEVER boring! 😂

Excellent, I love the way you adapt to the situation, you're a natural engineer or commander - well in short a Man.
Probably one of the funniest videos, that I’ve seen for a very long time, thank you for that Will, as that did me a lot of good, I’m always saying to my wife, “that was a pig of a job” please keep it up.
You are doing fine...don't be so hard on yourself. This vid was funny, but I understand your frustration. Keep doing what you're doing.
Its not boring but entertainimg and somewhat educational
Your small mistankes are priceless, sorry. Could have done it myself

Fantastic vid!! I could've watched this all night. The blinds look great............
Will, this is probably the best ever install video I have seen. You are class buddy and I was pissing myself. Well done pal 👍👍👍
My old boss used to say close enough is good enough. If it works it’s good you can always improve later. It’s all a learning experience 👍🏻
Omg by the third horn blast I was crying 😂 well done mate you adapted and overcame again
That bloody horn. We couldn’t stop laughing!
Entertainment as ever.
Keep up the great work.
keeping it real is what makes ur vids great
Wouldn’t do it any other way! Thanks for watching!
Really enjoyed the video, love the editing, you really inspire us to not only continue and persevere with our van build but also in life with our new motto - where there's a Will there's a way.
Keep going, you're doing a great job ❤️🚐❤️🚐

Haven't laughed so much for ages, sorry Will !!! But every time you hit that horn had me creased up. Love watching your channel!
Those blinders are looking verry classy !!!!!!!!!
You done an amazing job with those blinds. It’s the first time you have done them, if you were to do them again for a mate you would piss it, no problem!!! And the reversing camera looks Awesome, we’ll improvised, I can see the inner Neil shining through!! Well done mate!!
Not at all boring, very entertaining!
Your videos are great mate they are exactly what they are supposed to be all the problems are just reality most people cut most of the video out and show every job complete withing 10minz. your videos are better because it's how things are in the real life not just on TH-cam keep it up
Always entertaining watching you will , so that’s the point making the vids 😀
The point of Will are the videos on the van build so you can learn how NOT to do it! Sorry Will, couldn’t resist mate! 🤣
🤟🏼🤟🏼
Everytime you accidentally touch the horn 📯 😂😂😂, always a blast watching your videos 🤣
It was a nightmare 😂
Will one thing about that video. Is when your van goes through it’s MOT. You know it won’t fail on a broken horn 👍
Great to watch you work things out. 90% of any job is deciding to go for it.
Keep it up Will, you're doing great, don't beat yourself up 💪
I just love you, you make me laugh all the time. You give the warts and all in your vlogs. Would be great to meet you one day!
Brilliant will the wife and myself were psn ourselves at you getting as much horn just fitting blinds well done mate
I think this may have been my fav video yet. I was in hysterics when you were fitting that windscreen blind

I actually like you trying to figure things out and learning as you go 👍🏻👍🏻
Oh Will I was chuckling to myself all the way through that, cheers Pal !!
Tip from me! Undo the difficult to access ones first AND leave them loosely in position until they are ALL loose, apart from that a good job!
You show us the way van builds are most people hide these parts van looking nice mate
