Hi its getting late in the season I've planted 10 small fig rooted cuttings 5 each side of my front path.they have grown to 1.5 metres over the summer now they are turning yellow and dropping there leaves. So I need to now when to bend them over and pin them down for the winter.all the best Andrew from Workington in England.
Hi there, it is mid summer here in Australia and my brown turkey figs on the older wood are still very small. I see a lot of green stems which have no figs, which is something like in your video @3:53 on the extreme right side, a straight branch which shows darker wood and then young green wood. If there are no figs on the green wood, would you advise pruning a bit of that to shorten the branch? I am asking because the green branches on my fig tree are now taller than me and I really want to keep the tree short. But I am also wondering if I am destroying the future fruiting. Thank you.
I would avoid pruning to shorten branches. Please check this video, It is about pruning for cold climats but I believe it can still help you to keep your fig short and still fruiting. th-cam.com/video/xjut2XJv1JE/w-d-xo.html
My way of growing figs has been already explained here:

Did you consider to grow Ronde de Bordeaux? As main crop fig probably the best for hard winter climates and warm continental summers.
I agree and already have it. Check here th-cam.com/video/5OR8YvA8roo/w-d-xo.html

Your figs look very healthy! Like what you're doing. New friend over here!
Hello, a new friend:) Thank you for your comment!
Thanks for your videos! Do you bury all of your fig trees when you overwinter them?
Yes. Usually my winters are to cold and every brunch uncovered is dead.
