  • The Anbernic RG35XX H is certainly an interesting device but it's existence is unnecessary.

People forget you can not play games like Ape Escape and Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver without dual analog sticks you shouldn't be forced to pay for higher end handhelds just to play these games also the second stick has been mapped for camera control for DC PSP games making replaying theses classic feel more modern theses are somethings I see no one mentioning in there reviews this device is also a Linux based system compared to the other Android based systems its very powerful this device definitely has a purpose

I managed to grab one for £18, a bargain. This is my first emulator handheld and now I've got one, I'll always have one! Really tempted to get a Retroid 2S but feeling I'll be better off waiting a year or so for their next one.

I have no affinity for vertical handhelds and i had zero interest in the Miyoo Mini/plus and 35xx/plus. When they announced the H, instantly bought it. And on reddit, i saw i wasnt the only one. So yeah, there is definitely a market for it.

I do like your reviews, but you should focus a bit more and stay on topic.

I don't plan on getting this one. If I didn't have any handheld, I'm sure this would be a decent one to start with. I just got the 35xx plus awhile ago mostly just for the Game Boy nostalgia. I've also got the Odin Lite as my main device and a Retroid Pocket 2s for a smaller device and because I just love the look of it, especially with the Game Boy colored shell and buttons.
I still think it's good they put this device out though for people who like the RG35xx plus but prefer a horizontal form factor.

It's all about form factor preference that's the only reason the H exists. For me if I'm not going to play games that utilize the joysticks I would prefer the vertical style layout and the horizontal style for games that I'm using the joysticks.

      OHHHHHH that makes sense

@@GeorgeMcF yeah. They dont always follow it, but as a pattern on their naming convention, H is horizontal, V is vertical, M is all metal body, MP is a mix of metal and some plastic, and P is all plastic. Anbernic has weird naming conventions, but the extensions to model variants do make sense.

35xx+ and h are perfect for gifting. Not to much money and play the classics well.
I have the original 35xx and it is a tetris/dr.mario machine so i don't feel the need to upgrade
