Solid interpretation. I have always appreciated any performance involving Carl Richter. Always the very best. No fancy improvisation that we see done by American organists at times.
He was a fine artist, wonderful also his orchestra, the Münchener Bach Orchester. How interesting the combination harpsichord organ and orchestra! Karl Richter..yes I remember him quite well.

Wonderful stuff - one of the favourites of my late father. I wonder that this piece in particular isn't more famous. It seems quite sumptuous for Baroque and almost romantic (even though I understand Richter was usually against that kind of treatment, especially of Bach). Quite "dancey" in places, too (although maybe not so much in this recording compared to others of Richters'). Just great...
Yes!!!. It sounds way ahead of its time. Due to its greatness and thematic development it reminds me of Beethoven and the romantic composers. Handel + Richter = greatness and perfection
