    As a former employee of Starbucks, I can say with certainty that you should always say “no water” when ordering cold brew bc they water it down. As for the nitro, if it was served as a venti it’d still have foam, but they don’t want to serve that much in a single serving because it’s absolutely loaded with caffeine.

    As a specialty coffee barista with a specialty coffee association degree level 3, I can tell you that nitro coffee doesn't require at all a big glass to form a nice creamy foam and some active, balanced bobbles.
    Cream always depends on the amount vegetal oil naturally present in the coffee. In case of nitro coffee, it's the actual pressure/nitrogen gas ratio that is the most important. The gas is the biggest cost that you have to take into account while making it, per pour. So the bigger the glass, the bigger the profit. No technical BS.

    The thing about Starbucks is that they have you to believe that they are the standard for coffee, which is why too many people depend on them to get their coffee facts, when in reality, they are far from it. Any barista (not Starbucks barista) will tell you that from the three, cold brew has more caffeine than iced coffee and lattes, and as for the beans that Starbucks uses for their coffee, it’s literally the exact same thing that McDonald’s and Dunkin Donuts use for their coffee, even if they buy it from Guatemala and Kenya, because they outsource it from those countries when it is at its cheapest price, and when the prices go up, they opt for another country. This is why you are actually getting a real bang for your bucks if you just simply get your coffee at McDonald’s over Starbucks, but hey, some people will never understand I guess

      (If anyone does read this and decides to try to make it themselves and wants to use Starbucks coffee, I recommend making it with the Komodo Dragon Blend. I get free coffee every week at work and so far out of the ones I've tried, that one seems to taste the best.)

      Jessica Wright but you realise people prefer Starbucks (for instance) because of other reasons right? Have you ever taken an economics class? Depends on the coffee beans as well. Better coffee beans means better tasting coffee. Also, coffee doesn't have to be hot to be good. It's actually very bad for the taste of the coffee if it's too hot. Put it this way, if it's good when it's cold, then it's good coffee. If it needs to be served piping hot, then it's pretty much bad coffee as the hotness mutes the bad coffee flavor. Notice how Starbucks serves their coffees where you can just drink it even when it's hot. Now compare this to a gas station coffee where it's hotter than the sun and is only good for about 5 - 10 minutes as once it's cooled down, it's horrible.

    • @davidbreazeale7257
      @davidbreazeale7257 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@saysoun752 first I use good beans and a French Press when I make coffee. bad coffee beans makes it bad cold or hot. Also on a cold day nothing better than a hot drink, coffee, hot chocolate, or cider. and on a hot day it is the same thing. there is a Psychological effect on the body that will make you feel cooler when you drink a hot drink. the idea of cold coffee is a personal choice, not mine. so you enjoy your cold coffee. By the way when I buy coffee I will put it into my insulated cup from Stanley and it will stay hot much longer.

    • @saysoun752
      @saysoun752 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@davidbreazeale7257 First, I never implied that you used bad coffee as I'm just responding to how you stated if coffee is made right or made poorly, which is just a small part of how coffee tastes. It's way more important on which coffee you use more than how you make it. As far as hot or cold coffee goes, it's a choice but I never said it wasn't. All I said was of the coffee is good cold, then it'll be good hot but the same can't be said of bad coffee as bad coffee will only taste good if it's hot and will taste like ass if it's cold. As for me, I do drink it both hot and cold and I drink it black regardless if it's bad or good coffee as sugar and cream ruins the taste of coffee and I'm a person who likes the taste of coffee. I also drink my teas unsweetened and can drink drinks such as Perrier with no problem as I love Perrier and other carbonated beverages.

    • @RavenousFallen
      @RavenousFallen 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@escape2064 I mean it's plain coffee beans, no? There's nothing particularly rare about them other than selecting a certain type of bean for the cold brew. They grind them like they do regular coffee then just steep in water for a day then store in a container. It's not some luxury item. It's plain coffee.
      The labor is concentrated in the preparation of the batch rather than the labor being spread out across the entire day preparing hot coffee multiple times. So the labor aspect likely is similar between the two.

    • @escape2064
      @escape2064 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RavenousFallen yes that's true but the cold brew beans are ground on a specific setting and steeped in water at a certain ratio for 20 hours. Then at Starbucks it is pulled into cubed containers and then finally put into kegs, diluted with a certain amount of water. Not to mention all of these containers and kegs have to be thoroughly cleaned every day, and the used bags of cold brew can get extremely heavy to throw out. So it's a bit more complicated than brewing regular drip coffee which is reflected in the price. If you'd rather do it yourself then by all means you do you! Its blonde roast. And also its the same process for any beans in Starbucks. Its not burnt unless the vendor burnt them

    • @dhwdhhskcbfusbsmsss
      @dhwdhhskcbfusbsmsss 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@musicianfriendly2005"Burnt" is relative. Starbucks' "medium" is more akin to a typical craft coffee dark. The reason starbucks does that is because they were the next big thing after folgers/ maxwell. So they went with huge production quantities roasted to hell and back, since that meant any distinctive characters -- including flaws -- in the beans would be gone, and it had a flavor similar to the older robusta beans.
      Essentially, it's cost saving and from their history/ brand expectations by now.
      Blonde is the only thing from them that isn't entire burnt to ashes.

    If you’re planning to drink 3-4 cups a day... know that caffeine can be addictive.
    Caffeine is categorized as a drug in the same category as cocaine.
    When you cut out caffeine, you will go though withdrawal symptoms such as; headaches, fatigue, anxiety, etc..
    Coffee dehydrates your body, so make sure you’re increasing your water intake.
    Also from a personal experience, coffee breaks me out. My acne slowly faded away when I stopped drinking coffee and cow milk.
