Good video. I've only started playing about 3/4 months ago. I play aggressively and in general can create a large chip lead usually top 10ish in the 11$ tourney until towards the end .Always seem to fall short near the end. Best I've gotten was p.46 in a tourney. I'll try be more protective of the stack in the later stages

Daniel, any variation in this theory regarding large stacks in cash games vs. tournies?? By the way, thanks for the vlogs. They are very informative to a beg/mod reg looking to improve. The fact that you don't capitalize monetarily on them just shows what kind of guy you are. Thanks.

Hello Jesus Daniel The Almighty Negreanu.
I am actually considering writing your tips down and bringing them up whenever I am in these situations (in online poker of course).
For instance if I'm in a small tournament with a big stack, I'll pull out the 3 tips from this clip on notepad while I play the game, in order to keep my mind focused on playing like this.
What I really want to know is: when should you play live poker, and when should you play online poker? I play online and occasionally with my friends live, but I never been in an actual live casino game. At what point should I go to a live game? What stakes should I play at? I really enjoy poker and would like many many questions answered.

Daniel I've played in 2 wsop events cashed in 1 final table and 20th in another. My question to you at the final table I had AK off suite I'm the big blind and a player moves all in for 40k it's folded to me I have 80k but just knew he had a pocket pair and I really didn't want to race for half my stack. I'm big blind so I have 10k in it already I wanted to fold but felt it was my duty to call him. I called but knew I would lose. Of course he gets trips and I ended up with 2 pair. But it put me in a bad mood because I really felt my move was to fold. Thoughts?

Watched a $10 Pokersstars Micro KO tourney, huge payouts for a small buyin, over 5,000+ players, it gets down to three players, effective stack was less than 7mil, big stack 80mil, middle player 12mil, watched as the big stack, kept doubling up both opponents, going all in with 63o etc. getting called down with K8 etc...imagine getting through all them players and donking off all your chips, of course he went out in 3rd place, and lost 2,000$ extra. That is edged in my mind, if I ever make it to the final table lol

  • @Tech875O

I find when I play a bunch of hands with the big stack, people end up pushing all in pre and/or post flop on me. Because of this, I tend to play more conservative once I get the big stack. I use the luxury of time that the bigger stack affords me to wait for more premium hands.

I dont get this because whenever I play MTTS and I get deep with a large stack I usually find myself losing a lot of chips with my jabs pre flop and people shoving on me, 3 betting me when I have a mediocre hand. Usually resulting in me punting away my chips. I dont consider myself high skilled in poker but above average I would say, i usually get in the money fairly often in MTTs on pokerstars and have even won a few tournaments there but what I find the most difficult in poker is when I have a lot of chips, defending them, deep in a MTT

I'll say for the most part yes but you can see some high level fighters such as McGregor who is a Southpaw that will twist his upper body (while remaining in a Southpaw stance) to put his left hand ahead of his usual jabbing arm (right arm) and use his left as a measuring tool or jab it's just a mix up confuses the timing of opponent since it's already so close to them
