I love your stuff Ren... Like EVERY song bro... I rewatch them 15 times on channels like this after. Even tho he usually does nothing but diss you...You should check the other 4 tracks where he says things like "you have to be trying to be ass to be this bad". I wouldn't support this guy man. I'm not saying strike him for his opinion but... He's been very dismissive of your AMAZING/ONE OF A KIND art/music. 5:36 He talks about bars needing substance like you don't put that in EVERY song. EVERY thing about Animal Flow went COMPLETELY over his head while he trashed it because why?? He didn't comprehend the substance he was listening to.

Power, Genesis, Losing It, The Hunger, Crucify Your Culture. I personally don't mind if you genuinely don't like any of them - the world would be a sad place if we all liked the same thing. And let's be honest, I don't think Ren ever thought he would be getting so many reactions from American Rappers, artists and musicians. Ren can only make music from his experiences, which is going to be way different from your life experiences, so the fact that you can appreciate his music in any small way is surely some sign of success.
I reckon the song "Losing It" is a great example of him using great transitional bars over an incredibly unorthodox beat. A few silly lines similar to Em, but equally a few ridiculously tight schemes like Em.

Spot on brother. He switches the Flo in losing it so many times it's crazy. I personally think he's already the greatest artist of all time. He is shakespeare, Eminem, Bob Marley, Bob Dylan, Jimmy Hendrix, NF, Rage against the machine, Quentin Tarantino, and more amazing artists I can't think of.... In the grand scheme of things hardly anyone knows about him and he's the best thing that's ever happened to music. If fact he is transcending music as we know it.
I can guarantee he won’t like Losing It.

@@eshnic hmm, not sure about that either. I think he’s a fan of the genre who likes their hip hop hard, heavy and with serious bars without the lighthearted/humorous wordplay. I’m kinda the same but let it slide with Ren because he’s a refreshing change to the genre which has stagnated over the past 10-15 years, I also really love his non hip hop work. With ‘What You Want’ being pretty much a homage to Beastie Boys the bars might be to “punchline” oriented, but I dunno, he might like the old school vibe… but probably not. The purists always love Genesis.
The Hunger is playful and shows us a lot of his different flows and switches .
Losing it ,Power and Genesis show you that he can rap with the best of 'Em😮
REN’s greatest song is ‘Ocean’ - how some guy from a village in N Wales, writes the melody that could have been a negro spiritual, from the cotton fields in the Deep South 200 years ago, I’ve got not idea.
The last person able to do this was George Gershwin when he wrote Porfy and Bess almost a century ago.

"Power" has a positive message in the face of adversity; "Genesis" is thoughtful and complex rap; "The Hunger" is Ren showing what he can do - cadences and flow switches, speed, tongue-twisters.
There are other songs that are favorites to Ren fans, but I don't think you'll like them as much. "Money Game - Parts 1 & 2" and "Sick Boi" come to mind.

I do feel some, (not all), black rappers give Ren a harder time than other reactors do when it come to his rap stuff. They are far more generous on his non rap stuff.

American blacks have no idea that their ebonics come from literal crackers (British immigrants that moved to the south and populated huge swaths of the south as slaves.) Yes whites were slaves too.
Even blues comes from crackers that had learned music from Jamaica and North Africa.
But American blacks are hostile and believe they have a culture from the ethos. Rather than from circumstance. You musnt do what the American black thinks he created.

Ren is just one of those humans born with a musical gift that has been nurtured since childhood, he can do any genre impeccably, he lives and breathes his craft day after day.
Honestly "The Hunger" is probably Ren best example of his ability to switch up flows, some of the sickest flows I can remember ever listening to in the 34 years I've been listening to rap are on that track. But some other songs I'd recommend are humble and ocean, money game 1&2, genesis,power,wild fire,"what you want" for all the 90's rap fans , sick boi, losing it ect... There's plenty of top quality rap songs by Ren
Music is my soul food, from classical to Heavy Metal Screamo & everything in between, except rap 😕 until I discovered 'Hi Ren' 🤯

Love Music Part 2. Some pretty cool gems in that one for sure. Also, over the past few months, I've noticed that not all Ren is for everybody but there's probably at least one or two or a few songs for pretty close to everyone.

I’ll be honest I had given up on you, his catalog is so big that it’s pretty inevitable there’s some stuff you’ll hate, and some you’ll love. I dislike when people make sweeping generalizations like “he’s obviously never been through anything in life”. I think your opinions would be better received from the Ren community (if you continue to react to him) if you didn’t state assumptions as fact - because Ren is very open about his life, and if you make a negative inference, they’ll come for you 😈

Same, I've been suggested some Ren reactions that said "trash" or something equivalent in the title/thumbnail and I click do not recommend channel and move on. Some of those reactors show they do not know the Ren community at all. We stay positive! Any negativity that isn't wholey coming from a constructive place just gets ignored.
So glad you liked it! "Money Game" parts 1&2 (lyric video is a must for part 2) is wonderful storytelling - less rap, but big message & great sonically. I think you'd like "Humble," "Power," maybe "Genesis," and definitely "What You Want" if you liked 90s rap. This song is fire. It’s my second favorite song of his. I like live live version even better, which is crazy because this is a one take, but the acoustic live version but Genesis is my favorite and then murderer, and then probably castle made a sand.

I think what makes Ren great is that each of his tracks have a completely different sound. So even though he has his own "sound" he isn't limited by genre, beat style, and theme. When trying to think of a song like this by Ren I struggled, because unless its a direct follow up there isn't really 2 songs that are alike and that is one of the things I love about Ren's music. Lost all Faith, Ready for you and chalk outlines are some examples of other songs I really like. I would love to see your reaction to lost all faith.

It references cult novel & political allegory, Animal Farm by George Orwell, where animals take back the farm from its abusive owner, but the pigs take over & abuse their power. Some less-often-recommended ones from his back catalog, that I think might suit your taste for cadence used for a purpose, deeper messages, and musicality in rap: "Everybody Drops" and "Hold On". They're a little more introspective than braggadocious, written while he was in the thick of his health battles -- but some worthy wordsmithing and flows, in my opinion.
Don't always agree with your actions but really appreciate the fact you're trying to be honest.

I know the battles are taking up so much right now but I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Troubles by REN. You won't be disappointed. You want a song letting you know him and be raw that's the one.
