You're at the athletic level of body performance. If I were an obese couch potato say 50% bf or maybe higher. At what body percentage would you start working with me? Would you say "work with your doctor or other weight loss professional and then when you reach XX %age call me"?
I'm 71 now and have been resistance training for over 50 years as a natural. I am starting my 18th week on TRT. My physique has always been good. Now my strength is coming back and I'm getting better sleep. I'm 5'6" at 150 lbs. I'm benching 2 reps of 225 lbs. again.TRT has turned the clock back for me. My videos shows my progress.
Nice 👍🏾 Paul! Im 45 No🚫TRT. 🤔 I’m guessing I’m about that 10ish% body fat percentage I do 20-30 min a cardio 7 days a week no weed, alcohol cigarettes or 🚬 drugs I prepare all meals and have for the last 10ish yrs or so I can count on my fingers how many times I’ve eaten out during that time! 🕰️ ✌🏾 Keep em coming man! We love it! 🙇🏽♂️💪🏾
Great video! A video I would love is how to handle weekend overeating or binging on weekends. I can be very consistent weekdays, but Sunday I always overeat. Info on things that have helped people you know not overeat on weekdays. Real things people have done to change this behavior. Thanks!
8-10% seems very aggressive and would require too many sacrifices for most guys. I'd say 12-15% for healthy males is more realistic to maintain year round while still looking good. 10-12% is ok for a quick summer cut, but still too lean to maintain all the time. The majority of us don't need to be "stage ready." We just want to look good shirtless on the beach.
I have been consistent with my sleep, dieting, stress management and exercise for years and I cannot get to my 34” waist that I had last 6 years ago that I’ve since high school (I’m almost 37 at 6’3 and 195 pounds). I have no issues with sex drive, some days are lower energy, mood is good, etc. I don’t get what I’m doing wrong with also adding 10,000+ steps per day and have done that for over a year.
I just started the Vince Girona 36 egg a day meal plan, will check back in, in 8 weeks. I tried it last year felt great with great results. Based on what I know from trying it I plan on tweaking it a little here n there.
Thank you very much. I'm 60. 71 inches tall. I've monitored my waist circumference diligently for the past 20 years. 32.5 inches is my preferred spot. At 32 inches I look too haggard and I get weaker.Only been up to 34 inches which was 14 years ago when in my ignorance did a dirty bulk.
Some of the detrimental things you're talking about can, by my experience, happen with higher body fat. I'm trying to get rid of my spare tire because when I was slimmer I definitely felt better! When Covid hit I did not keep up with my exercise and am really paying for it (I'd advise anyone to not pause their fitness routine, especially being an older guy). And with my routine (incline treadmill, dumbbells & TRX) the progress seems agonizingly slow. Any advice on the best routines with limited time would be great! Because, as you've stated before, with family, work etc. it can be tough to get exercise in. And though it's not my favorite time for it, it's going to have to be early in the morning. I just want to get the most out of it. Thanks.
I love to lift weights, but I am also a dedicated shuffle dancer. Shuffling is high intensity cardio and requires frequent practice. I would like to see content about what are some realistic physique expectations for someone who lifts hard 4 times per week, but also trains hard cardio frequently. My physique has definitely improved from lifting hard the last two years, but I wonder if my fitness and dance regimen isn’t extremely inefficient. Being big isn’t that important to me, but being lean and muscular is. Am I just dancing all of my gains away?
If you like what ur doing just stick to it..sounds pretty balanced to me.Dont become obsessive. Dancing rules so don't give that up..the more the better imo Good for mind body and soul.
I’m a 64 year old male with Addisons disease and on testosterone gel daily but my levels stay between 300-400 eat mostly grass fed meat and eggs. I’m 5’7 155lbs and a 31in waist but seem to be somewhat fatty
And I have problems getting in my protein for my goal body weight without going over 50grams of fat. I have lost 60lbs so far and have kept it off for 6 months . 60lbs took me a year to lose. But now looking to see if I can get lean to se my abbs
Great content as always ! I'm in week 29 of my reverse diet and it goes really well :still under in weight and waist size from the end of my cut, but beginning to regain (I know it's normal). Was at 1850 calories the end of my cut and now at 2730 calories per day. Since a couple of months, I do weight lifting a lot more than I was doing so I know I'm gonna gain muscle. Should I end my reverse and begin maintenance when my waist circumference exceeds a certain number, instead of focussing on scale weight, since muscles will add to my weight ? I want to maximize my reverse to be able to have a last cutting phase that is great and easier with higher calories. Thanks in advance !
How long should one expect the scale not to move when going into a caloric deficit but lifting extra hard with high protein? I understand I’m recomping my body but I thought the scale would dip a little by now.
waist is well below half your height so that's a great spot to be. This just means you are healthy and should not have any hormonal issues related to being too heavy.
How can I help you in 2025? What content would you like to see?
Do a video on average week for your eating and training. That would be great 🎉
When's the next challenge?
Meal prepping 170G of Protein to 220G of Protein meals and how stay motivated for 3-6 months

Hi Paul. Could you do a female version of this video please? What is the ideal body fat percentage for a woman? Thanks a lot.

@@PaulRevelia thank you for responding!
Nice info Paul. I’m getting zoned in on your info
Beast of the Bay prepping for spring training! ⚾💪
Great content; however, what do you say is the range for a healthy woman who works out?
Great question I’d say based on the research for men it’s between 10 and 20% for women
@@PaulRevelia thank you.
I'm 70" tall & can wear 28" or 30" jeans but latest hydrostatic body fat test said 23% body fat. Talk about frustrating. 😩

Great video as always. The best way to stay in shape is not to get out of shape!
Good advice paul, I've been at 5 % before, and it's not fun

How lean was de Niro in " Cape fair " ? Under 10%?

Would you still recommend lean bulking and cutting for those of us who never plan to get on stage?
I certainly recommend you chase the physique that you want at all times

In most cases i give it a week then decide to adjust.
How do you sign up for the 2025 challenge
When it’s available, all share the link
My goal weight would be 170lbs which is 20 more lbs. but I may have to go lower possibly 160lbs
Is the first time trying to get to low body fat the most difficult?
I certainly think it requires the most change, but I also think the first time you try to lose body fat is the easiest it will ever be

Yes
He's married to the game 💯

@@PaulRevelia weight is 175. Was updating goal weight to 165 in MFP and the number stuck in my head 😂
