    I confess to Almighty God and to you my brothers and sisters that I have sinned through my own fault. In my thoughts and in my words in what I have done and what I have failed to do--- there for I ask Blessed Mary ever Virgin all the Angels and
    Saints and you my brothers and sisters to pray for me to the Lord our God!
    My heart and eyes and mind just became more open to how I have influenced others and they have influenced me 🙏
    May God help me to be more aware of my thoughts and actions that affect others!

      It's only my opinion (and provided I understood him correctly), if you absolutely know the shoes are being made under those conditions and buy them anyway (unless these are the only shoes available to you as alternatives) those shoes would be something to avoid buying. It's similar to the coffee example.

    I really enjoyed learning about remote material cooperation. It's an interesting thing to think about in our globalised world.
    Even considerations for things like our governments. The Canadian government for example, sends money overseas to "support women's access to abortion" and uses our taxes dollars. While I know I can't be held to blame, I do feel empowered to defend life and select leaders who also do

    • @savanahbutts7503
      @savanahbutts7503 ปีที่แล้ว

      I was thinking about our tax dollars here in the US also. Especially in California. Prop 1 on the ballot this coming election is to enshrine abortion in our state constitution (which we already have) and make California a haven state for all women who want to participate in this evil. This prop would take away any "reasonable" limits on late term abortions, and use more tax payer money to fund the abortions of out of state women. I'm praying that enough people will see the evil in this, or at least want to keep their money enough, to say no to this prop. Please pray for our country too.

    in my recent conversion to the Traditional Catholic Faith I am trying my best for the first time in my life to do what is right, in the Eyes of God. Including not cheating on my taxes, this is a struggle for me because of the evils that are committed with all of our contributions to our government. Abortion is subsidized in the United States and abroad, the welfare system is grossly abused and demeans and destroys the family structure and goodness knows what else is going on. But I try my best to believe that the overall effect is for the best. We live in a very complicated world, we must however do our due diligence to see that we are not complicit

    I found this so informative that I watched it twice before realizing that I’m not mainly in peril because of major dilemmas, where it takes a Spiritual Ninja to manage the right thing. I mean, I recently realized that I’m committing most or all of the deadly sins 50-1000 times a day,and I should probably impose some kind of limits on myself, like no more than five or max 900 times for all seven.
    Yo-yo sin dieters like me have no hope at all except the pure mercy of God, but maybe someday I’ll master simple-basic and legitimately need to work on these finer distinctions. Prayers offered for Candice and her family. And thank you for this great resource. ❤

    i have a question. i’m a scrupulous person. i’ve had to leave school and i’ve cried at work because of the stress ive been under because of it. i feel that’s important to have in context, but what i’m worried about is what counts as causing others to sin in respect to how you have described analyzing moral actions. if i play video game that is otherwise fine, except some of the characters every hour or two says a phrase like “move your legs or i’ll cut them off”. i personally don’t want the characters to say that, but i can’t turn it off on another person’s computer. what if that person decides to enjoy the bad voice line? am i responsible? the voice line wouldn’t have happened without me playing that character in the game (i should mention i don’t have control over what the character says) so am i morally responsible and does this count as giving scandal?

    • @juliarose4486
      @juliarose4486 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, I've been a scrupulous person in the past too! And the amount of spiritual suffering involved is immense, so I hope you are doing okay and with prayer you will be able to move past this through God's grace. I'm not an expert, but it sounds you are not responsible in the example you gave because you have no control over what the other person said. I know you might be thinking that you've sugar-coated the situation and I don't understand it, but don't listen to that thought. It's the devil talking (you thinking it is not a sin though, just a temptation, which even the saints had, and nobody expects anyone to be free from temptation, so don't worry).
      The best thing I ever did to combat scrupulosity is accept that I am going to make mistakes, I'm going to sin and that's why Jesus died for me. It's definitely a process, and there are good days and bad days, but it can be done. Jesus wants conviction in your heart, not shame. Scrupulous people put so much pressure on themselves to be perfect, but if we were perfect we wouldn't need Jesus. And not only is it impossible, it's also not what Jesus asks us for. He doesn't want us to be perfect, He just wants us, and His death on the Cross makes up everything that is lacking in us.
      I hope that helps, God bless, and I will be praying for you 🙏🙌

      I used to have that same thing up to very recently. The best thing to do is lower you idea of the impact you have on others. People really don’t notice you that much or think of other people half as much as you do trust me. And 99% of the time the things you think may be sins are not sins, so it is best for you if you are worried if something is a sin or not, to understand that it isn’t and to continue believing such as it is 99.999% most probable that isn’t a sin

      the thing about it is that everything we do matters. if it is causing you to worry then you should stop playing the game, and write a formal letter to the company asking to have that phrase removed. it seems hard to stop something you enjoy when it feels like something small but i'm in the same position with finding out that johnson & johnson support planned parenthood and a lot of things i use are their products. i know my money doesn't affect their profits but do i want to contribute in any way, even if it's 10 cents? nope. so i'm on a quest to find replacement products from good companies - which are really not easy to find...but with God, all things are possible, so we can hope your letter will get the company to change that phrase and you can play it again! :)

      I too struggle with scruples. It’s important to have a good confessor and to really read up in Holy Scripture about God’s mercy. It’s important we recognise that the devil loves our panic as it turns our attention away from the mercy of God. So instead, seek the sacraments. Good on you for recognising your scruples.
