She wasn't. Kylie wanted to model. They took her and Kendall to get head shots done. And instead of hyping up both their daughters they ignored Kylie and hyped up Kendall. Even when they started their first brand it was Kylie who was interested in starting a brand and Kendall had to tag along. Kendall literally did nothing by herself for years, just tagged along with what Kylie did because their parents didn't think Kylie could handle her own brand alone. Kylie Cosmetics is the first project she got to do alone and that's because Kendall had just recently started runway modeling and her schedule was booked. Kylie even dropped their mom temporarily as her manager just so she could have more control of the launch of her brand. Kendall has always just been there doing whatever and it shows.

It is almost impossible to find a fellow model say the same words of admiration for Kendall. She doesn't show up on time, she is rude and disrespectful towards staff, she's demanding and belittles the other models who actually had to work to get the same opportunity she's just handed. She truly seems like a bad and spoilt person, her sisters seem much more grounded which is insane. If I could show up, get hired, then I wouldn’t mind the super model cheque that she’s given by the labels. I think few of us would turn it down, even if we wouldn’t be into it. Do some uni. law lectures and then some afternooons here and there do some model jobs that would pay for: real estate, health insurance, no need for student loans, a cute wardrobe and much more.

I am a professional model (obviously not as successful as any mainstream runway model but that’s besides the point) and it’s so much work where you spend hours walking for rehearsals, and the shows themselves are hella hectic. Okay but hear me out, miumiu hired Kendall for a photoshoot then THEY choose which photos to use. They probably shot hundreds of photos, and she may have been serving looks in different shots. But they chose to use these ones. Maybe they predicted people talking about how boring she looks, but they want publicity even if it comes at their models (Kendall’s) expense so they choose the pics that will get people talking about and sharing them. Just my thoughts
It doesn't make sense then for them to use mediocre shots of her to promote their brand if they had better ones to work with. Like it's literally tied to them why would you use a bad picture of one of the most influential model worldwide if you had good stuff to work with. She just doesn't seem to put any effort into it because she'll get paid a lot either way and they need her numbers to sell.
Someone in another comment mentioned the fact that she looks better on her IG feed is because she has a say on what gets posted and with brands it’s them who choose, which is what you’re saying, and I completely see that,
I think you could make a case for this if it wasn’t because she looks bored and lifeless in almost every campaign and editorial she’s done. Fr, look up any of her past works and she looks the same in all of them, and it’s not a pretty or interesting look. I think when this is the case for all your body of work then something is not checking out, she’s either not putting in the effort because she knows she doesn’t have to, or there’s something else. I honestly think that after all these years in modeling she doesn’t even know or care enough to do a good job, she doesn’t have the work ethic she claims when she’s also saying that she only does 7-8 shows a season (when so many girls walk 20, 30, 40 shows a season) and she knows the day she wants to quit she can and she’ll be okay.
The outfits she was wearing in that campaign for miumiu was very drab. Honestly she could have been a contortionist and gave her all and it wouldn’t have made those pieces any less boring to look at imo.

tbf... the walks are choreographed and MOST of the time you will be told how to hold your face and what your face should look like, the problem is that Kendall doesn't actually execute it as well as the other models whether its lack of effort or not being able to properly take direction (which she does have history of). but most company's want the models to have a blank face with a slight edge so they look interesting but the clothes hold most of the attention, which Kylie doesn't have to worry about because she is advertising herself whereas Kendall is advertising the clothes (i hope this makes sense). HOWEVER, Kendall's walk is awful [oop] as it lacks natural charisma and personality... many models have a background in dance (which Kendall is proud she didn't have coz... she's "not like other girls") which helps them move like they do... so while Kendall takes pride in being "not like the other girls" it is actually what holds her back from being as good at walking at the others.
Mondeling is not easy. Most models also do photoshoots..especially those, can be rough.. I've stood outside butnaked at freezing temperatures, in uncomfortable positions for HOURS. A whole 10 hour work day and I was sore so often afterwards. Even walking a runway, a lot of waiting and chaos and pulling at you.. And often uncomfortable clothes and shoes that you need to sell.
Is it the hardest job in the world? No..but for all of the no's you have to hear, the nitpicking at bodies plus the long days, it's definitely not as glamour or as easy as it looks. There are definitely moments but most models are replaceable and you get treated as such

I think Kylie puts in more effort and maybe love. One example was the books they supposedly published, Kendall obviously hadn't even read the summary, Kylie was able to answer questions and talk about it.
I think Kendall is doing modeling because she is trying to find her self still. The job keeps her away from her family enough for her to not really be apart of the reality show. If you notice we barely see anything deep about her like her older sisters.
ok but what you said about her being gorgeous and that making it that much more disappointing. when I first started going down the rabbit hole of celeb gossip videos and started learning who the kardashian/jenners were (like I always knew who they were as a family but I didn't know how many there actually were or their names other than kim), kendall was the first one that stood out to me because she was "the pretty one". which made me want to at least kind of like her (as much as I could like anyone from that blackfishing family) but she's just not giving me anything to work with.
You mentioned very important - HER instagram, she looks great from any angle...because she has control and most of it is fileterd/touched up etc... but also manipulated......when a model does a campaign the skin is touched up etc.. yes...but the photo is not manipulated and that is why the Kardashians don't look the same on third party camera/campaigns as they do on their own photos...

Let me tell you more simple trick to get long eyelashes apply coconut oil+any petroleum gel( for me the best one is vasline) one by one around you lashes area and it will definitely work within 1 week. I applied and got the results too in India many of us used these two and it works most of the time so give it a short! Thank me later ♥️

I do agree with many points you’ve stated . I just wanted to say that in the modelling industry , the outfit is supposed to wear you and not the opposite . The difference between her and Kylie is that Kylie has a lot more versatility and liberty because she isn’t a model . She poses as a celebrity , whereas Kendall poses as a model in most pictures .

Finally someone is pointing out the fact that something is seriously wrong in the fashion industry now more than ever! In the 90’s as a teenager, I was obsessed with everything fashion and modelling. (Not that I could or would ever be one.) I studied every episode of Fashion TV and would practice the runway walk including the TURN for hours almost daily, walking and turning to music in front of a full length mirror. I just wanted to be able to move that beautifully! I was completely shocked watching more recent runway shows and it’s NOT just Kendall! They ALL look like tortured, traumatized prisoners being marched under duress to their execution! Nothing attractive about that. It’s sad really. No hate to Kendall. I think she needs to find her real identity and embrace it and get the F out of whatever toxic nightmare she’s trying to survive through. And noticing that the ultra skinny look is becoming popular again is devastating! You can’t be that malnourished, starving and happy.

Go Kylie! I find her inspiring and shockingly beautiful! She has that incredible shine about her which comes from being beautiful inside, drawing on it to enhance everything about her appearance outwardly. She’s also a wonderful mom who puts her kids first while also being beyond highly successful doing something she enjoys and is great at! There’s no reason the two sisters should be competing with each other. Kendall certainly has her own individual ethereal beauty that so many people are drawn to. Hopefully she can find the way to break free from anything that’s holding her back.

Wow, I actually never noticed how much better Kylie poses and or models than Kendall. There is definitely a difference when you showed them and we kind of know Kylie to have kind of the same face but for some reason she’s able to make it work I think she knows how to move her head or how to look at the camera and maybe Kendall doesn’t do those things so it always falls flat anyways I’ve never noticed that, but maybe Kendall should try something else and Kylie already knows how to model pretty much.

Kendall wouldn’t have stood a chance. The plastic surgery really was the reason people in the industry took a chance on her. Kendall has staying power because she is beautiful right now. However, I don’t foresee this lasting mainly because she’s connected to her famous famous. When they’re 15 minutes are finally up, Kendall’s modeling and tequila career will take a hit. Honestly... The Kardashians have said problematic things like 'get up and work' and tons of other unlikeable stuff on the media... on another side... I get it Azealia Banks said way much more and created herself an image of a villain on the media, in social media, too. However... I showed my mother a photo of Naomi Campbell and another of Azealia and she thought Azealia was prettier. I was shocked someone thought Azealia (my mom didn't and still doesn't know her)... shocked someone would think she was more beautiful than one of the most acclaimed supermodels of all time... and actually kept thinking for a long time how Azealia could actually be a supermodel because she does actually have the looks for it... she is quite stunning, it's just that she doesn't want to maybe and doesn't put a limit between talking and not talking or... talking and standing her ground on it or talking and making people convinced that she doesn't actually believe what she says and it's out of boredom or because she got convinced that everyone would deduce it was banter and not what she thought in real life... like, even if she did believe all she wrote (which I genuinely doubt) she still was demanded at the time to show a sort of 'innocent' image kind of... and if she were to be a model, yes Naomi had her temper with several models but she kept it there so people wouldn't say she attacked everyone like many said about Azealia... All I'm trying to say is Azealia with the behaviour of Naomi could be even bigger than Naomi in the fashion world unless... Naomi also made it because europeans rig the game in favour of Europeans... but you see, Gigi Hadid and the Karashaidsn aren't european and they had careers as models and still do (don't know for how long) but I do think Azealia could easily be a model if she truly wanted to abide by the rules of silent or less talkative models...
@Lakacia Lloyd Agree. She's one of the most beautiful singers honestly. At first sight, she has an infectious, charismatic look. Hard to not look twice. I do think also, she did play her part but social media also gave her a rough feedback and treated her poorly because how do we know if someone like Naomi, or IDK maybe Tyra Banks or Heidi Klum if they had social media while growing up with it, and not being mature enough, maybe they could have made many more PR mistakes too, but they didn't go through that, and the newer generations did... so IDK... yes, it was Azealia, she did her part, and also, the times served her free range of a loaded weapon that she didn't manage as well... but still, I think she could make a massive comeback because I don't think people hate her, I genuinely feel like she was fooling around like a child and could redeim herself if she shows change and maturity... she has a lot of talent for sure and yes, she's very beautiful.
