- Trying out my max speed mutation Deinosuchus in the swamps! Check out the following test footage..
For those asking the mutations are:
Hydrodynamic- 15% faster swim speed
Wader- 25% less hindered while wading through shallow water. (Lots of shallow areas to cross and move through in the swamp)
Photosynthetic tissue- 5% increased health regen/ movement speed during the day. (You could also use Nocturnal, same stats but during the night instead.
The diablo 4 calling as its dragged down and drowned... really brutal lol

I am not entirely sure but you might need to turn manual alt bits on idk if you already have it on but not alt biting when chasing prey as it swims back to land is much better than alt bitting just to let you know 😊
if you turn off the automatic "alt-biting" in the settings, which I believe is located in controls but I could be wrong, you can save on a lot of stamina and finish off prey items you've let go of underwater. Normal bites don't cost stamina, bites that reorientate your character model do.
I should note that there's literally zero difference in damage between the two types of attacks, the only difference is that one costs 1/10 of your stamina while the other doesn't.
Yes you are totally right on that, and thank you for reminding me. I have them changed back now. Some dinos I do use the alt + primary attack as my LMB and forget to change my settings back
@@just_connorthe difference is that the alt bite is much quicker. Same damage but way faster with the costs of stamina.

if im wrong i can be corrected by im pretty sure deino naturally has wader, from what ive seen it can move full speed in all kinds of shallow water.
Oh really? That would be really nice to know for sure, then it would free up a spot for another mutation
@@LeBaked I haven't played the stress test, but they definitely used to go full speed. As long as it's swimming instead of walking it goes full speed. Now walking in shallow water that's too shallow to swim in might be where the mutation actually does something.
@@colecampbell1906 yeah i know swimming is swimming, no matter how deep you are. I am not walking or swimming, I am wading, as far as i understand it. Someone will know for sure and let us know hopefully
Does Photosynthetic tissue increase your movement speed on land during the day only or both land and water?
@@Garian9 it says movement so I am assuming it means all movement, walking or swimming

what mutations you got and where did you find all that dibbles in swamps? i never find any
There’s dibbles all over the swamp, but mostly along the east side of the swamp, they have a lot of food there. Edit: the mutations I used are in the description now 👍🏻

Wader does nothing effectively bad choice
@@conorscriv7149 this was my first time trying it, and I wanted to be as fast as possible in the swamp. After trying it though I would agree that it is not very effective and I would not take it again.

@@attiladallos7318 Having a hard time understanding your grammar/ spelling, but deinosuchus is an ambush predator. That literally is the play style, if I chase Dino’s around on land then I would starve to death so not sure what you expected from a deinosuchus video 🤨

is the speed mutation for regular swimming ,shift swimming?
Good question, no one has asked that. It makes you're max speed while swimming faster so it applies to shift swimming for sure. I am not totally sure about regular swimming though. Maybe someone in the comments will know

@@user-xp8wk1zt2p I have never heard of upgrading the mutations you already have, but I know you can unlock more than 3 mutations for your dino through nesting
