In reality, the RGM-79 suits were better than Zaku II in every way. More powerful reactor and better thrusters. Stronger armor and access to beam weapons.
@@Doctorgeo7 yeah, the only issue is that when the GMs were produced and put into service, Mobile Suits were still very new to the Federation so there were a lot of inexperienced pilots
Everyone forgets the GM canonically is only out preformed by the DOM and Gelgoog. This is how they should be 90% of the time. Resilient af and a genuine threat to Zeon MS.
Im not a fan of gto but seeing people surprised that a gm survive this long confirmed my question, every gm clip i saw was about them got massacre by zaku without putting a good fight
No, GMs are actually mono eye mobile suits. Unlike the Gundam, they use a main single eye underneath the visor for mid to short range combat due to the beam spray gun. It uses mechanical motor to move the eyes around, similar to the Zaku but has a wider range of movements. In fact all GMs and Jegans are all monoeyes. In Unicorn Gundam, when the Zaku Sniper sniped a Jegan in the hangar during the Zeon Attack on the Federations, the Visor got blown off, revealing a single mono eye in the Jegan Visor. The visor merely obscured the mono eye. But if you pay attention, especially on close up on Jegans, and GM Sniper in many series, you always see a single large mono eye . If you have the MG Gunpla or RG Gunpla, you get to see underneath the visor.
@@Mark-kq8eo I think only Mobile Suit Gundam Seed series where the Dagger series have dual eyes. However I didn't owe Dagger gunplas but in the anime the Dagger always have two eyes lighten up when the machine is activated.
0:01 Gundam EX: "Prepare for trouble!"
GM: "And make it double!"
Surprisingly resilient for a GM, lmao
GM must be a prototype variant because it's quite tanky for a mass produced mobile suit there.
Or they’re depicting them more accurately to show how the Federation’s Mobile suits are very formidable

1:11 pretty slick CQC for mobile suit standards lol

the most unrealistic part about this is that 1 single GM is actually holding its ground against a zaku
It's a lore accurate GM
That isn't a GM
A real GM would have died at 0:17 lmao
固定砲台ザクかっこいい
👍👍👍
Also, has a Monoeye... pretty weird... but also explain this must be a prototype

@ringring8938 good point. Thank you. I said this because a saw a pic of a GM without front cover. Maybe a ficpic.

GM = M4 Sharman
