I just bought one a couple of weeks ago and used it in my last show and the sound is so crisp, and the interface is simple enough to swap presets between songs. It was definitely a solid buy and I’m glad I found it here.
I got a lot of mileage out of my old DOD Tec4 multi-FX. One note though, the 9V power may be universal, but the current draw looks like it needs 1000mA... which is double what is provided by the high output Strymon Ojai and 4x the output of an MXR iso-brick.
I really like my Sonicake Twiggy Blues- it has reverb, delay, overdrive and a compressor with the ability to blend the effects together into really usable R and B tones with both humbuckers and single coils- P90s unleashes this pedal, too. Solid box that I've had just over a year now withno issues at all.
230.00 is not too much for this awesomely cool unit. It's just great for whatever you want! You can REALLY have your own sound, through tweaking & choosing what they have in this unit. All different cab sims, effects, etc. And it will work in any interface unit, because of it's capabilities! Yes indeed get this unit... You will be SO glad you did?
How would this compare with the Donner Arena 2000? I'm looking for a budget-friendly multi-effects pedal with amp and cab sim that I can basically not care about if it gets beaten to death, stolen, borrowed by my brother and never returned, etc.
Again, I enjoy listening to you play. And that guitar is just beautiful. I can't tell you how much I appreciate everything you share. I hope you're getting something for your generosity. Thanks for everything!
I have just purchased 1 Matribox 2 3 weeks ago, I have never been so impressed with a guitar equipment purchase. It allows you to have drums on your amp so easily which massively improves your rhythm and timing. The looper is really easy to use and can be sychromised to the drums/metronome. The presets are fantastic but the bespoke nature of the box is also amazing. Highly recommended as if it makes you want to play more then its got to be good.
This is the first time i see a video form you. I love how you take your time to explain things.(unlike most of reviewers that seems to run always.) This you. Btw: I'm an old school guy, and I love to use editing software, wink.
I used to run one of my pedals off an ac adapter that once came with our house phone. I always hold onto AC adapters. Ive got bags full cos They always come in handy, and it saves me ten or twenty pounds every time I need an adapter. Always check the required specificied ratings before plugging anything in. Eg Voltage Amps polarity. If the polarity is back to front their is an easy solution to it.
Hi Max . All of your Content is Amazing !! Thanks for all the work you do to create all of these great Videos for us . I hope you and your Family are all doing well and staying safe in these unpredictable days . Ok , anyway , you are talking about the 4 Cable Method . Does it matter what type of FX Loop I have in my Amp and my FX Box ? Specifically , I have a 20 Watt Modular Randall Tube Guitar Amp with a Series FX Loop and a Line 6 POD XT Floor Modeler . Do you think these 2 units will work together the way you described in the Video ? I know I could have tried before I asked but I'm a bit worried about killing my Tube Amp somehow by messing with the FX Loop and screwing with the Impedance . I absolutely Love all of your Videos Dude !!! 🎸🎸🎸 And your Playing of course !!
I like my Donner Multi Effects Pedal, Arena 2000 Multi Effects Processors Guitar Pedals with 278 Effects, 100 IRs, Looper, Drum Machine, Amp Modeling, Support XLR, MIDI IN. Hardware Interface Bluetooth. Operating System- Windows or Mac. $215.99 amazon.🤘
1 more thing the only problem I have with it is the gold color it's hard to see in the dark if they had used black made the lettering bigger I would give it a perfect rating
Nice review... but, a friend of mine has one of these and, as in your video, it sounds very thin (to both of us), almost tinny. Meaning, it sounds cheap without a lot of depth, like bass or tone. I don't know if it's the board itself or something else in the equipment chain. It would be good for practice... but in a live setting, hrm... I don't know. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on it though.
You should do a vid for strap buttons if you havent. Im tired of buying straps and the screw comes out and i tape it or whatever. I wanna buy 1 strap. And 1 strap button or lock or whatever. Why dont they make the ends of straps out of like ratchet strap material?
try the Fender rubber washer things. they are cheap like less than $5 for two pairs. they work surprisingly great for keeping the strap tight and on firm, without going to different hardware like strap locks, also, if using them with a strap which isnt shredded already at the button hole, they will keep the strap from getting that damage. as for strap buttons coming out. just squirt some gorilla wood glue in the hole and stick the screw back in there tight, hold the strap button in place and let it sit to dry. modern wood glue is stronger than wood itself.

Any hardware background noise on Matribox 2?

the sound quality and options you get is freakin solid even with matribox 1 sonicake really outshined the other brands with this

Or traded to the Dope dealer as did my Brother 😎.....

I have the MATRIBOX ll And I love it!
Was it me or did "California Lead" have the Randy Rhoads vibe?

Thanks for giving your impression. Don't have any equipment than my guitar. This seems to be a great opportunity to fiddle around in a box.

Killer unit I love it
Thanks Max. Just put one on order. BTW. I am interested in your classes. Shalom/gw😊
That Lynch LTD tho!
Those navigation buttons are worth the price difference in the time you will save. I hate having to jump through hoops to do something.
At this point I think Max could take broomstick and make sing. Great Demo
Max! Can you toggle the fx loop on and off or is it always in the chain?! I can’t find this answer anywhere.
You can set the level of in and return.

Has a lot of nice sounds 👍
9v 1a you sounded great on that intro solo and that tone ! GD son !
I can totally tell he’s been practicing. He has a lot more control when he plays. Great guitar solo on intro.
Great video, can anyone tell me how to use the midi function
Matribox II is fantastic, very good build quality, sounds amazing, if only the panel was touchscreen.
Another awesome review and your playing is truly amazing…
Excellent review, cheers, Max.
Sounds like a pretty sweet design
A particularly good opening jam!!
I have heard it does not have good reverb and delay but I want to buy this as it has fx loop. I have a boss me-80 it does not have send and return
Max will you be Glen Danzig for Halloween? Great review!
just got me a matribox 2 and got it from sonic cake for 185 dollars but have a lot of there pedals
I keep hearing a decending slide after every cool riff you do. I wonder if you have tried ascending slides or just must the last note.

Give the Mooer Prime P1 and F4 a try...the Prime P2 is coming soon too.
How do I adjust the volume level of the AUX IN input?
I prefer boss gt1 or zoom g3n or 5n

thats my concern the youtubers make all these devices sound great but in real life tyhey often dont
They should make one sans expression pedal.
Aloha 🤙
Bummer of a name... sounds like Sonic Ache.
👍👍😎

Won't touch it.
🤔 The manufacturer name is either pronouced "SONI-CAKE" or "SONIC - ACHE"
Not interested. Bought the first version, piece of garbage, big mistake. Sonicake's reputation is ruined.
looks too fragil
Sounds too digital in my ears.
