I was just reading through the comments on this video, and I am wondering if you might consider doing a video where you've had to coach people who needed to switch from being side sleepers to back sleepers. I think for some of us side sleepers, making the switch is really hard. I so love all your videos where you talk about using pillows and getting into good positions. It's the very best! Physical therapists that I go to don't seem to spend a lot of time talking about that and rather just say something perfunctory, so I love this resource! Also, I wanted to mention that my husband sleeps on his back and he does snore. So the workaround for that is that he creates a depression in the center of his pillow where his head can rest back so that his neck is definitely in neutral and that decreases the amount of snoring. Also, he will turn his head slightly to the left or the right and rest the side of his face against the pillow and this seems to greatly reduce his snoring.
I was sleeping in a fetal position and waking up with my hands completely numb and dead and could not understand why until now. You guys come up with the best topics and are so incredibly helpful. And you are very entertaining, funny, and fun to watch! You're famous with me!
I bought a firm mattress with a topper and for the past month or so ive been waking up with lower back pain...my glutes just feel so tight too! But i tried a few of these pillow techniques last night and didn't feel that tightness as much this morning! Thanks for the tips... especially loved the double pillow under the ankle for the side sleepers! I have soooo many pillows on my bed.... they used to get thrown on the floor at night.... now they have a purpose!
I love you guys!! I have had right shoulder and right upper back problems for a year now... went to the Dr. and he said it was inflamation in my shoulder. Been taking Aleve 2-2x a day and seems to work. I have been using your vids for stretching and are trying to train myself to sleep on my back. Its very hard to do it... but I am trying. Keep the vids coming.
Hi, one of the exercises you've suggested for people who have herniated disk issues or sciatica is to lie on the stomach and then arch the back. Other than the issue of the neck being in the end range, why is sleeping on the stomach considered negative. Being on my stomach was one of the only ways to relieve my sciatic pain.
Horses must lie down to get 15 minutes of deep sleep every couple days. They sleep for that short period of time like they are dead. But they sleep standing most of the time in very short spurts. Some horses that are too nervous, feel unsafe or upset to lie down, sometimes collapse and simple fall down or have something like a seizure. I’ve seen it a few time in my 50 years of caring for horses.
Some horses do lay down to sleep, as a matter of fact it is said if they do lay down they live longer. With that being said i have had horses that never lay down unless they want to roll.
Weird i heard sleeping on right side is good if you got liver problems, that it helps liver by laying on it, but i have started stretching my body out for circulation and how i lay neck n watching my shoulders. Ty for sharing
Bill, I completely relate to you. Trying to get myself comfortable on my back has been a years-long struggle. What has helped me is to make a depression in my pillow so that my neck is in neutral, but there is enough puffy material on either side of my face that I can lean slightly to the left or the right and get that "nestled" sensation that I get when sleeping on my side. Also, I think having something under your knees is really important, even if you don't have a lot of back pain. Good luck! I'm still only just able to get asleep on my back, but I always wake up in the middle of the night and then I want to sleep on my side in order to get back to sleep.
I am a ischemis stroke survivor. The CVA happened couple of yrs back & made me hemiplegic. The infract was so big that even after regular physicaltherapy, still I cant do nything by my left hand & its pretty tough to walk even with a proper F.O . Plz come up with some tips and excersise vedios that can be helpfull for patients like me
I'm a back sleeper now since watching your videos and the only complaint I have is my lower back is sore sometimes in the morning. I've tried pillows below my legs but that gives me hip and leg pain. So I don't want to buy a leg wedge incase it's a waste of money, any other suggestions?
Try doing some gentle yoga before you hit the hay. Especially focus on stretching out the upper legs, uncompressing the lower back and easing out the hips. Doing 5-10 min of foam rolling might be good too
When you talk about laying on the stomach as a bad position, I find that I Don't lie flat like on the back but get into a position similar to climbing a ladder. My side that I am lying on will have the leg straight with the opposite leg bent, the arm will be tucked into the area where you show putting the towel and the other arm is bent such that my hand is even with my head. Think about when you cuddle with your wife, it's not in a back massage situation.
Horses sleep on their chests but to achieve deep sleep they must lie flat out even if not for long periods. Their sleep patterns are different from humans' but just as necessary to them!
I thought you were going to advise of the best sleeping position. So there isn't a best? We Just need to include the pillows n roll depending on the position we choose?
How do I get myself to fall asleep on my Left side, when I've been a Right side sleeper for a long 30 years? - I have tried sleeping on my Left side. I can't. I have *Hyper-Active Leg Syndrome.* Meaning... just about when I am about to fall asleep on my Left side, my Right leg all of the sudden ''jerks up in the air'' for No reason at all. I Hate having this prob. And that scares my wife out of her wits. lol. Even if I try sleeping on my Back, my stupid Right leg all of the sudden ''spasms up'' just before I fall sound asleep...I'm not sure If my *Hyper Leg* problem is caused from having moderate *cerebral palsy* or not. Sleeping on my Stomach is a very Uncomfortable position since I cannot turn my head to the Right or Left to well at my 56 year old age any more. -- Sleeping on my Right side all night?? No *Hyper-Active Right Leg problem.... But Yes, Yes. I "Do'' get Heartburn Allot having to force myself to sleep on my Right side all night long *never* rolling over.
If you don't have any back pain , don't put pillows below your legs when you are sleeping in your back . I try it , but then i created a back problem where my back was completely straight , and i was not able to sit because i was not able to maintain the upper body balance . It was too straight and that was a problem . I feel pain on sitting in my back straight , but now i am recovering(better than before) .
Not only do I understand what you're saying, I actually agree. However, If the length (or content) of their videos aren't beneficial for you, stop watching.
Shorter would be better especially for those of us with short attention spans. But I kinda like the guys' goofy talk. They also pack alot of info, so I think the length of this one is pretty good since it's sometimes harder to process the info if it comes too fast. It actually takes longer to edit videos to make them shorter so I'd rather the guys make more videos. I tend to watch these guys on sleepless nights so it's kinda of nice to watch for 10-15 min to slow my mind a bit.

My shoulder arthritis is forcing me to learn to sleep on my back. I’m having a hard time getting used to it

Apparently I read bad advice that sleeping on back is bad for heart and side sleeping is better for heart is it true?
I found bone pillows are great for sleeping on the back ♥️

I can help working on a longer leg wedge for your Amazon store. :)
Are there any positions that facilitate sinus drainage without lying on the stomach?
A pillow to the chest is always helpful also (I have ankylosing spondylitis) for side-sleeping. I think you have recommended this before ?
Ok

HELP??? When you sleep on your back,do you flat your lower back or you put a little bit of an arch?
I have sciatica from a herniated disc and I feel better sleep on my stomach. Should I keep doing that ?

Why do we pee so often at night even though we haven’t drunk a lot before bed- and what can we do about it?
Me watching this at 2:12 am on schoolday while i got math exam
Horses like to lie on their sides in the sunshine on unusually sunny days in the winter time.
But I cant sleep in any other position but the fetal one! What do I do 🙁
Sleeping on my back kills my back! Its the worse position.
Horses sleep on their chests but to achieve deep sleep they must lie flat out even if not for long periods. Their sleep patterns are different from humans' but just as necessary to them!
I’m a stomach sleeper. I can’t help it

Barbara Carbone i
This is fine if u can stay in one position all night but we move around so u gotta keep moving the pillows!!!

Will Supine will not cause bedsores?
Judah Christian Church, Inc. If you fall asleep for 3 weeks, probably.
y'all better not tell me sleeping on my stomach is bad for me 😤
Good videos but it's distracting when they keep looking to the left. Maybe they're secretly filming in the bosses office while he's out.
Try --My Pillow, Great!! no two pillows, making head too high or no need for neck roll--Its Great--3 depths of fill.
