Thank you so much for making this video!! All of the other advice videos I've been watching are super general, but this one was super helpful since I'm going to be a freshman in the fall! You said that most people us the bus to get around campus, but do you know how easy it is to use a bike because I've been thinking about getting one?

I'm so glad you found this helpful! I do know that there are people who do bike on campus, to be honest, I am not sure if it is more effective than taking the bus around, so I would suggest trying both! I will say that it is an advantage getting to know the bus system at UGA, and the campus can be kind of hilly in some areas, so I would keep that in mind. But to answer your question lol yeah it is a campus you can bike and I have seen people do it before!

Oh my God this is so crazy I've been hunting down videos about University of Georgia because I'm thinking about transferring there however I'm just starting community college right now but the school is still on my mind. then when you started talking about being a public relations Majors I was like oh my God I'm thinking about majoring in that too and also like your black im black and i just want to know what its like going at a pwi. Also did you transfer out of state?

I grew up in an area that resembled UGA so the shock wasn't that big for me, but I made a video all about my transfer experience that hopefully can answer all of your questions, and no I when to a college in Georgia before I transferred!

Hi! Do you need a car if you live off campus at an apartment really close to campus? Specifically do you suggest a car if you go to UGA.

It is possible to get around UGA without a car, but it’s not that fun. If you want to live off campus you need to look for an off-campus apartment complex that the city of Athens transit goes to. As a UGA student you are allowed to swipe your card and ride the bus for free essentially so you would just have to do that to get on campus and then use the buses to get around. But living off campus it might be hard if you don’t have a car to go get groceries and things along those lines. So it’s definitely possible but I feel that most people would say you need a car.
