Im 5'11 and autistic. Learned to mimic people when I was young, so socialising became easy after a while. Never had issues even as an autistic guy. People are too far into their heads. Its like when you get the vibe somebodys pissed off and ruminating on that anger. You can still pick up on that anger or angst despite them not showing any signs of it. I am 18yo boy and 168cm tall. I think some people don't even realize how hard it is to be a male that's that short. I hate it when every time I go to my highschool the half of the girls there are taller than me. Also all my male classmates are taller than me. Every fucking day I feel like a freak or like I'm cursed. I hate my body so much. I've never been in a relationship before and I start being afraid that it will be hard or impossible to find a girl that will like me. You can offset height with style and personality. My boss at work is probably shorter than you and he is well known and liked individual, even among girls. I also have an uncle who's shorter than his wife(his family nickname is "little one") and he's a very successful man.
25 yo, 157 cm ugly guy here. it's gonna be really hard when your brain and heart is so full of negativities, but still try to become great at something you have control with like personality, skill, humor, confidence etc. it's really hard but it's doable. use the internet well to help you or go seek professional help. most people will still not like you especially the shallow ones, but there will be people who will accept you if you have so much more to offer. i know it's unfair that we have to work harder when some good looking, sexy, and tall people can be as evil as they can and still loved by everyone, but that's just life i think. the sooner you are able to accept it the better. being short or ugly isn't enough of an excuse to not do well in other stuff. actually blaming everything to your looks and height is so pathetic. hope i learned it so much sooner and didn't waste my whole life.

I’m 1.86 meters (6’1) and the intimidating factor is defiantly somewhat true. I feel like people are nervous around me because I am tall and fit but also don’t hesitate to be my true self always. As to getting girls I’d say being tall is a nice bonus but if you don’t have social skills or are ugly/unhygienic you will still strike out.

19 and 190 cm with somewhat muscular build. I had my cursh literally tell me I was "intimidating" while she was over at my place. I also noticed over years people struggle to hold eye contact with me or have body language like thay are scared. Walking alone at night past or next to woman is espeacially stressful since I can tell they are alerted by me judging by how they look or start walking faster sometimes. It came to the point were I practice facial expressions in the mirror to look more friendly and less serious.

Ngl Im 5’3 freshman at college and in all honesty it really how you view the world times when being my height has its ups like for some sports and times when it has its down like trying to get a good view of the concert or parade. I see in the commentary that many deny that height gives something away. When I look at my friends I see that in relationships they were primarily over 6 foot. The distribution in the population below vs. above 6 feet how much is it? 60/40? And those who were in relationships? Somehow I see taller people in relationships more often. I could be wrong but i feel like society wasnt this obsessed with height in like 2014/15 i feel like back then height was just one of many things that you could have in your favor or not. Nobody really cared. Now it feels like how tall you are as a man determines your entire worth as a living being and everything else comes second.

Almost all guys I know, who are 2m+ tall. Have problems with spine/hips/knees and other bone/joint issue. And this is just for the body, not to mention things like furniture, vehicles, clothes.

I stopped growing at 177cm (5’10 I think) when I was 19. I thought my late growth spurt would make me hit at least 180cm. Being a few centimetres away from the cut off, social media standards label anyone 5’10 or below as “manlets” even though when standing next to someone who is 6ft flat there is not a big difference at all. Social media has inflated the standards calling people who are 5’11 and below “short” even though I know I’m within above average height for a man.

Bruh, the average height of adult males in Germany (aged 20-39) is 5'10 and a half. You're half an inch above average. The average teen there (which, I guess, seeing it's between 13 and 18 years, being maybe 5'8 and a half to 5'9) is even shorter.
I see a lot of people who post similar things of a resembling delusion. You're not gonna be happy any any height if you're willing to complain about being slightly above average. And height varies a lot, too. It's normal to be taller than an adult as a teenager, because there's a standard deviation of three inches. I was taller than most adult men by the time I turned 13 years old. It's not that uncommon.

@@newruins0960 Firstly, you have to account that everyone living in Germany/having a german passport (aka not everyone with german blood, therefore also people with foreign blood. Im only 25% german myself...) is considered in these height-measurements. As foreigners tend to be smaller, they may decrease the real average for the "real" german men you're mostly competing with on the dating market.
And Dating statistics have shown that females prefer their partner to be significantly taller than them which results in filters on dating apps where men under 6'0 get selected out of their dating pool before even seeing them, simple cuz they're a lil too small for their requirements set on these filters, so they dont get shown. And even those who dont use those filters (which is more uncommon...), often take the height into strong consideration (even though its more present on an unconscious level cuz many dont wanna admit it/they wanna play it down)

I'm 6 feet tall with barely above average looks, i won't deny that being tall has its perks, but I'm terrible at talking to people but im a good listener. The beauty standard changes everyday & if someone wants you & their main reason is because youre tall then that romantic relationship isnt going far
