Same people I believe. Lived in upstate NY near the Akwesasne reservation and always though the natives look exactly like my Kalinago people. I think through ages of migration "the people" settled all throughout the Americas and the Caribbean. Some mixed some stayed pure. Hence the similar features..the hair the eyes.. the nose sometimes

My wife of 30 yrs says she is carib , her mother was kalingo not sure what it makes her but she grew up just south of Vieille Case. Hopefully we will be visiting Dominica in the new year
At the 8:30 point in this clip Mrs. Sylvanie Burton, she was recently selected by the present Dominican administration to become the next President of Dominica 🇩🇲. That should be on October 1st 2023, when the sitting President's term is over.
