My father's mother was Caribs from Owia
Yesterday they were conquered by the Europeans today they being denied by the Africans whom have forgotten that their home land is in Africa!
OMG, such a beautiful song💜💜💜
So so Special !!! Just as special and good as you Chris !!! God Bless you and thank you for your service ! And for still teaching us and still sharing your life with us!!! We love you 😘
Brasil is the only country in America whose population eats kassava flour like the original indigenous people.
Please, do some researches before talking nonsenses! In Martinique and Guadeloupe (French Islands) the people, (all ethnicities and races) eat Kassava flour like the original natives!
The old fashion pictures many look Native The newer ones all looked mixed non native.
AUGUISTE FAM STAND UP ✊️
Little baby
Beautiful ballad!
Beautiful ballad!
11:30 rest in grand grandma!
Majority of Dominicans are Kalinago , Grands and Great Grands on both sides of my family are Kalinago.
kalinago never had straight hair, ya''ll are a mixture of Ho Shen who came across the berin straight and mixed in with the wolly haired Olmec originals who were already here! go read the "rise and fall of the Black Caribs"
That’s the truth
Kalinagos do have straight hair, like other Amerindian ethnic groups. The text you mentioned provides this information too...
@@terralexj9468 yeah but the current narrative portrays them as if they were the originals when they are not, they mixed in with us when they came on this side of the planet, so thats why i had to point it out because they tell their story without saying who their parents are
Don’t forget us down here in 🇬🇾 ! We are all one people separated by water but united by Blood, History and Culture
Love my Kalinago people and heritage
The Asian looking people in this documentary are Filipinos adopted by our nation, brought by the Spanish because they could not fight
The real indian carib face is dieing our face is changeing😮 because of the mixed race c'est dommage pour nous.
I am from St. Lucia and my great grandfather was Kalinago and my grandmother was Kalinago and Arawak. Don’t forget us.
At the 8:30 point in this clip Mrs. Sylvanie Burton, she was recently selected by the present Dominican administration to become the next President of Dominica 🇩🇲. That should be on October 1st 2023, when the sitting President's term is over.
We have Carib communities in St. Vincent. My Dad is a proud Carib. Also, our national hero was a Garifuna by the name of Joseph Chatoyer.
My grandma a Dominican Kalinago, half Carib half Arawak made Kalinago Princess Amelia💜🎉 We Darand from Petite Soufriere, warriors bath in the rivers!!! Love us💪🏾🇩🇲👑
❤❤❤❤
Hello brother’s and sister’s nice to meet you my people, l’m Garifuna or garinagu we are same people, same culture and language we still here we never died, kalinago, Arawak, Carib garífunas one blood, one people ❤
This is not the Black Caribs unless they signed a contract with the devil. No way in hell we can allow this type of arrogance to take place
@@orange300-ct8fc Dude, there’s no mention of Body trading and Human trafficking in the correct context which does tie into this shit here. So why would y’all tell the truth? Shut the hell up murderer
My wife is from Dominica. She also is kalinago. We are going back to Dominica to visit soon. Very excited to visit her country. I'm Chickasaw from America. Again I know I will enjoy her rich culture. Shalom
Same people I believe. Lived in upstate NY near the Akwesasne reservation and always though the natives look exactly like my Kalinago people. I think through ages of migration "the people" settled all throughout the Americas and the Caribbean. Some mixed some stayed pure. Hence the similar features..the hair the eyes.. the nose sometimes
They are not just part of the Kalinago, they are the Kalinago. White washed history gave us an idea what Carib people look like. When these colonizers came to the west undies they saw negro like people that resembled the Ethiopian people.
Thank you. I read his book about the Tainos in 2010, seven years after I had the good fortune of a visit to Puerto Rico. I was thinking about the subject, because I was just able to visit Barbados.
My people Kalinago Dominica 🇩🇲
I am Garifuna, Kalinago.Carib.African from Belize. I am hoping to visit Dominica at the end of this month and it is a must that I connect with the descendants of my ancestors! If there is anyone from Kalinago ancestry who I can connect with I would appreciate it!
Hello, I m so happy to view this documentary.. I have so much admiration for your tribes. As we say here, “be strong”, I will not forget your faces and what you are saying. From one indigenous person way out here in New Mexico, your doing it for the future generations to come. We all need this♥️♥️
Maravilhoso!!
Solidarity! ❤️ landback!
Awesome!!!
Beautiful singing! Thank you for sharing your talent!
Nothing confirmed in my dna but my grandfather is one . I still don't understand a clue
I am St. Lucian and was always told we were of mixed Kalinago decent and this was confirmed through DNA testing. I am so proud to be a part of the indigenous people. It's my dream to visit the Kalinago Territory to learn more about my people
My grandfather is one and i don't have it through my dna
There are some in Choiseul.
We are proud, strong, courageous people still ! I am proud of my Kalinago heritage, and we are alive and strong in please Don't forget us in 🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹
There still kalinago people in Trinidad and Tobago?
@@jeremyarroyo360there are still some in St Lucia too.
@@jeremyarroyo360 In some remote communities the people have just as much Kalinago blood as those in this video
My wife of 30 yrs says she is carib , her mother was kalingo not sure what it makes her but she grew up just south of Vieille Case. Hopefully we will be visiting Dominica in the new year
They went into hiding in Trinidad and Tobago and blend into the public
What is the kalinago word for Breathe or the Breath?
it is not our fault the older ones never taught us, i am a st lucian and only recently found out that we were of kalinago decet.
No it is not your fault. And the Text books teach lies about all the Caribs being extinct. It is what I was taught also.
Same here I just found out myself this is my tribe
@@grimeeditor May I ask, how you found this to be your origin?
We are part of you. How could we not be?...rich and courageous is our past. All Dominicans are one. Must!
My great grandmither is kalinago shes 93
