What you said at 1:01:07 about keeping things simple is so reassuring to me. I am not a beginner, but I still struggle a lot with this view that any complex-looking effect has to be a crazy mind maze with all kinds of hidden VEX lines. Thank you for showing me that the complexity of nodes can be a preference and that I don't have to feel not good enough for not wanting to go all crazy in the node tree. Cheers

I thought the same. Like "Maybe do a cloth sim with a helix cure force, scatter and copy little discs to it..." and then thought, "What if a client wants changes to THAT? Horrible." Such useful advice.

Greate tutorial as usual. Very helpful and informative!
I just wonder how do you choose from a pop force and a pop wind when doing a simulation? How differently do they perform based on your experience?

pop force will kind of boost the particles with the force, pop wind will gradually try to make the particles match it using drag so it will behave more controlled.
It helps to make a simple scene to use and compare these two nodes so you can get a sense of the differences.
Generally pop wind is used to represent the ambient motion and pop force is used to add some thrust or push to areas you want.
