That’s crazy, just watched all three of your videos, I was trying to install kali Linux. Amazing content and full of tips. Precise. Looking forward for your Security+ exam results/video
I do Udemy, and take the Total Seminars CompTIA A+ core 1101 and core 1102. Im using Chat GPT to take notes and I pretty much type in acronyms and watch the videos and take great notes. 👍 works well for me
It has a certain number of questions you can ask it per hour, even if you upgrade to the new version, though. It is best to get the study book and truly go over the material, especially if you have a no tech related background such as myself (musician and armed security guard). @@faeriehacker
Thank you so much for sharing your journey ... I am breaking into this new field, and your video gave me so many tips and confidence. I truly appreciate it.
Congratulations! I’m currently in the military with a Clearance getting my bachelors in Cyber Security next year and starting my Masters that same year. I hope when I get out I can land a good job like you. Thank you for sharing your experiences. Keep posting on your journey!
Thank you for sharing this informative video! Can you please do an overview of the specific questions they asked during the interview especially for the technical portion for us to get an idea? Thank you!
I’m curious how did you know what company’s to look for ? Were these companies that you wanted to work while studying cybersecurity for or you researched yourself ?
I go to WGU too What Certs did u have before u applied for that Soc Analyst? im going to apply for that position next semester because I have net + security + and the second part of my A+ all next semester lol it'll be a tough semester for me
Just wanted to say thank you and congratulations in your new job, I find your video very insightful and with lots of good advice. I was wondering if you were switching careers, if so would be interesting to know what was your background, I'm also curious if you were actively searching for open positions and what was your process to identify the right ones, did you struggle with overthinking which path to take and what training to do?
You’re welcome, and thank you! My job before this was working in health insurance. Before that I was a freelance web developer for about 3 years. And had some tech support experience as well. Yes, I was actively searching. I had even told my boss at the time that I was going to be applying for cybersecurity roles so to plan for my notice in the near future. I overthought for a few months which route to go, but I prayed a lot during that time for guidance and clarity and ultimately landed on SOC analyst as the right path for me. WGU gave me the study path and I’m still studying now. Hope that helps!
Hey Jessica , really nice video! I was wondering if I could help you edit your videos and also make a highly engaging Thumbnail which will help your video to reach to a wider audience .
Only way she got her job. I know dozens of people that have more certs, experience, and labs than her yet none are getting jobs. Only people I know going straight into Cyber are vets with clearances into clearance jobs.
Emphasis on being intentional. I see so many LinkedIn headers that have help desk positions and security analyst. This can be confusing to recruiters and leave you empty handed. The two positions are completely different.
Woman in tech have a big advantage to fill quota, and also any respectable company will want someone with experience as cyber security isn't an entry level role, its mid-level for STARTERS. Just my thoughts and experience as someone in the field.
It’s funny you mentioned the “tell me about yourself” question because my friend and I were talking about that interview question yesterday 😂
