Cycles are an inherent part of being human. Good or bad parts of us rub off on our peers and our children, restarting the cycle usually completely unintentionally. Great video

I’m so glad I came across your channel, this was absolutely amazing.
Villeneuve is my favorite director working today.
I think the narrative in both Memento and Eternal sunshine of the Spotless Mind can be considered cyclical as well as circular.

One of my favorite examples of this is Inside Llewyn Davis (which I love wholeheartedly)

Sicario, the Day of the Soldado is not really a sequel to Sicario. The complete change in its genre and in its way of portraying what happens in its movie don't fit with the first movie, because they're not meant to. I think that the entire purpose of Soldado is not to show the moral ambiguity, even though by some extent it follows it with the ending, but it's more to show the political and bureaucratic ambiguity behind the issue regarding the issue of cartels and the social constructs tied with Latino-American communities on the border between the two states. I honestly recommend seeing Soldado, because even though it doesn't come close to Sicario in terms of thought, it still shows a present reality that is kind of ignored by main stream politics or information, and when it is not ignored, it's butchered through poor mentality and understanding of the mechanics of cartel politics.
If you do watch Soldado though, you shouldn't watch it expecting it to be directly tied to Sicario, under any aspect, because if you do, you won't get the point of the film and you will just be dissapointed. Soldado has to be seen as completely separate from Sicario, with the only similarity between the two being Brolin's, Del Toro's and Donovan's characters, as in the rest, it doesn't try to convey the same message as Sicario does.
