Yep - great feeling...wife is looking forward to me removing car bits from the bedroom! Really good to see you adding more and more subscribers. I'm not surprised...yours is now the go to channel for 560sl owners. Mike
My wife is SOO looking forward to me removing all the front grills and door cards from under the bed....Incidentally, I'm going to be in Newquay 18,19,20 October - maybe that might be a good time to check out your 319? Mike
Thanks for the video. I think that you may have pin-pointed the reason for my 1973 350SL intermittently losing power exactly as you describe. New fuel pump time.
Good luck finding one.....The Nissan 280zx Fuel Pumps ( 17011 - P7211) cost over £1000! The other thing that made a HUGE difference in the running of this car was getting the fuel injectors cleaned, serviced and balanced. Wasn't cheap, but is was well worth it. Mike
@@JohnSmith-qn8ux The early cars use the Bosch D Jetronic fuel injection system which runs at a much lower pressure of 2 bar than the later K Jetronic systems. Many people make the mistake of putting a modern fuel pump on the older D Jetronic systems but this will eventually knacker the fuel pressure regulator and injectors. Mike
It's looking good Mike. I should have my starting issues fixed in the next week or so. I just let it rest for a bit. Mine look really dirty from underneath.
The good news is that they are still available new....the bad news is that ever since my previous videos (th-cam.com/video/2weoZJO7MF0/w-d-xo.html and th-cam.com/video/srvBSoYbUK8/w-d-xo.html) the 2nd hand ones are quickly snapped up.
