I've been leaning towards more of a minimalist console gaming/streaming setup. I didn't even know there was such thing as a mini pc. You just helped me big time towards my goal. I'm hoping to get one this year.
I’ve been trying to figure out how to get myself a budget/starter streaming set up and you Sir have answered all my prayers. Well earned Sub.

Agreed, i have a full tower System Unit and Monitors, MIc, Ring Light, webcam are all mounted in the table using Vesa Mount & mic/ring light arm.
I know mini-pc since years ago existed but unfortunately 7-9th gen intel below and AMD equivalent are not worth it..
But now 12th-13th gen & Ryzen 5000-7000 are worth it due to increase core count "i.e. Celeron now is 4C 4T with decent base to boost clock" while for ryzen counterpart some uses full rated wattage "i.e. r7 5800H 45W" which resulted in higher base clock starting from 3.8Ghz and boost higher.
This Mini PC are as strong as Laptop counterpart and now some has support for external GPU which make's it better than Laptop for home usage.
But i plan to use it as 2nd PC for streaming and Mount it to a Vesa Mount.
Already watched some reviews and used it for 4k 30FPS streaming but has limitation.
And read comments using it as 2nd PC that it can handle 1080p x264 w/ face cam & overlay w/o any frame time delay or FPS drop.
The problem w/ this Mini PC is Noise level same or worst than laptop so you want it located lil bit further.
Dude, I absolutely loved the edits in this video! It takes something some may view as boring tech stuff and turns it into an attention retention, informative masterpiece.

I was thinking of something like this to start streaming I clicked the link they have the alder lake N95 which is a bit cheaper but they have your model as well I’m using it for strictly steaming so wondering if I should go with yours in the video or the alder lake

I've been following your mini pc videos since the "hdmi stick". Im very curious how the 5105 chip with 8gb of ram holds up with a 1080/60 stream with a cam and overlays does... almost went this route, but just didn't know how it would really do. I'd love to get my son's console streaming with this bad boy mounted on the back of the TV if it would preform. I would love to see an example clip of one of your streams with the setup. I saw a higher priced model with more memory and space, but if this set up already cuts the mustard lol... then what's the point right?!?!?

Your assumption would be correct though. It’s nothing but a PC just in a small package. All apps and such run the same way in Windows

Yep! Still an option. They have a newer chip, the N100 that is just a little better that might cost similar now.
As for PS5, just know that your biggest limiter is the capture card. If you want high refresh or 4k passthrough, make sure you get a capture card that supports it. It can always be downscaled in software to work for OBS. I

I don't mind the memes, but holy crap you had way too many. It felt like half the video was memes. I got to say, I really think you overdid it. It just felt like they were interrupting the video more than adding to it. This is actually really good to know, as I've been thinking about making my own videos and now I understand that just because a funny clip seems like it would work doesn't necessarily mean it will. I actually learned something. I don't say that as an insult, I'm genuinely thankful that I learned what not to do.
Later in the video when you started using fewer memes every 5 seconds It actually was a lot better.
Also, in your opinion, which would be better all the way around. The 8 gig or the 16 gig? I can get the 16 gig on Amazon for about 200 right now with cpupons and other benefits. I've been wanting to do this because my current hardware fix has just been using base Twitch on my PS5, which doesn' lt thave any real overlay customization.
As far as ram, you won’t see a benefit with 16gb for streaming unless you use a crazy amount of browsers, etc. if you plan to also use this for productivity, then I’d spend the extra now for the upgrade. This unit is serviceable and can be upgraded later though.

That’s awesome! Depends on your price point and what refresh rate/resolution you play at. If you want to get a capture card that you can still play high refresh, 4K and still capture in 1080p, I’d go for the Elgato HD60X
As for a budget option, I’ve reviewed several on my channel, but know that cost in capture cards usually comes with limitations, either in pass through resolution or capture resolution.
My favorite budget card is the mirabox in the video. It’s $40 and works well as a starter card.
Could it capture 120 fps ? And would it get all the game chat audio? I'm trying to include my crossplay friends audio in my streams I stream straight from my xbox
When you stream it only captures 60fps at the most, that’s all yu need for a good quality stream

Totally. Solid 1080p recording at 15k bitrate. Seems I should do an update as a lot of people like this

Thanks! Most laptops in This range have a N4020 with 2 cores and 2 threads. This mini LC has 4 cores and 4 threads, and a better architecture. In short, can encode better streams and handle more info

Legit question bud I just got my mini pc and haven’t had any issues yet except for the fact that I can’t send audio any other way except with the capture card… which I wanna run it thru a head set … what’s your advice to fix this issue … second question how long has this pc lasted for you before giving you issues I’ve seen a couple reviews on Amazon saying it only last three to 6 months …
Mine is still going strong, no issues. There are capture cards that have audio ports on them that solve this issue, but I think I need more info on what you actually mean by sending audio. Are you wanting to monitor both the pc and console audio at the same time?
@@DarkenedCyrus yeah so I use the fifine sc3 for the voice changer, that’s routed out to my nova pro wireless headset base, I can hear game audio and have the main audio on my ps5 running as the “HDMI tv out” but doesn’t seem to pull signal on OBS, twitch, or steamlabs
I have an Akasa Euler Max fanless PC with a Ryzen 5700G limited at 65 watts. I wonder if I could stream on it or I would need something like this instead

While I'm not jealous since I use my PC for streaming, I am glad to know that getting into streaming is more accessible and not just to those that have alot of money to throw at the hobby. Personally have used my laptop for console streaming and it works great. Although between you and me pure PC streaming is alot easier. . .

I wanna try this for my stream but I don’t use webcam as I don’t stream to be famous as some big streamers are I wanna be able to have a private life and also with my line of work I have to be private but it seems cool
Quicksync is underrated. A lot of people don't know what it is so they don't use it but 12th gen Intel on, especially, is arguably higher quality in quicksync than nvenc. Maybe consider also doing a video for AMD gamers with a 5000 or 6000 series radeon and intel CPU just a suggestion. Strangely enough, I use a 10th gen intel with Quicksync and the bilinear filter seems to do the nicest with games like Rust and Tarkov instead of the default downscale filter. I think I'm going to ditch my rtx 2080 super laptop (previously used for a streaming machine) and juse use QuickSync on my desktop considering I can run the quality preset with my i9-10900k and I'm saving about 250 W of electricity only running my desktop

i have NO room in my room. kinda sad i can't get the setup i want. but if i can play possibly fortnite and sims 4 with CC (not a full on gamer my friend just wants me to play fort with her) and no lag i will jump for JOY.
Saw your comment on another video as well. If you just want to game on fortnite, look into getting Xbox Game Pass for xcloud. Your Phone is a great option to run fortnite and can run with controllers on your phone. If that isn't an option, grab a Stream Deck or a Rog Ally. Need something cheaper and not your phone? Look into the Retroid Pockets. I have the 2+ and it is awesome and can output over HDMI as well.

Wait, you mean how to use a regular setup with a capture card and mic? You can’t connect a USB mic to an Xbox. What you can do is a workaround that I’ve already made a video on.

Haven’t done them in a while. Every creator should be creative and try new things to see how it impacts their content. Surprisingly, I did see a bump in Gen z for retention rate, but a dip in other places. I’ve since stopped doing them
