Excellent 👌🏻 was thinking of getting this bag and was wondering if my tent and sleeping bag and mattress would fit thanks for your review. £74 quid now
Thanks for posting Andy. IMO roll top bags are an essential part of motorcycle touring if you want to avoid enormous panniers and hope to keep your gear dry; however, fixing straps should be checked often if they are of the non-elasticated type as this style of bag bleeds air even after closing and therefore can become loose on the bike. A little surprised you don't also carry a puncture repair kit and mini-pump. From experience, I wouldn't tour without them.
Mike Hedger cheers for that and agree, usually do quick check on every stop, doesn’t take long. Have a plug and go tyre repair under seat, and my pump was strapped to back in a red bag, but it’s too big really and I’m going to get smaller one, happy days...
thank you for a very informative video and some good ideas too. I find if you buy cheap eBay rubbish it doesn't hurt too much when you threw them away. i also try to buy regarding size rather than weigh paying top money for the latest tech just to save 2.4 ounces is a bit daft to me. so my number one rule is. if it fits in the bag and it works take it. if it's a big dump it even essentials like the tent and sleeping bag.. small is best. and if all else fails you can get a premier inn for £29 a night.
Hi Mick, thanks for that and I must admit I like value for money! I’ve just bought another tent off eBay having set myself a challenge to buy the cheapest I could that still had good waterproof rating…and all at £65! Should be interesting little winter camping trip with it….maybe I’ll end up in a Premier Inn 😂
Great shout on the Trekology UL80. I’m going to order one. As Ive struggled to find a sleeping pad/camp bed solution that I can get comfy on, or that isn’t too big to carry on the bike.
I was the same as you and did find a camp cot worked well but was too bulky! My son recommended this one and it’s worked really well for my recent camping trip..let me know how you get on with it!
The Camping Biker will do buddy 👍 I’ve got a folding camp bed that I used the other weekend but as it’s quite tall I had to have it diagonally in my vango 3 man tent otherwise my feet and head were touching the sides of the tent.
Thanks very much you helped me make up my mind I’m definitely getting one,I’d really like to see the review on your mattress if you ever get the chance to do one, well done you for mentioning the pee bottle I’m of that certain age lol 😂,thanks again stay safe mate 👍
Mark Kyle thanks for the feedback, the pee bottle mention was funny....I do now have an alternative to the one seen, but that’s for another day 😂 I’ll post the review on mat this week 👍🏻
Hi there. Thanks for the videos on this bag, they are very informative. I had a question, I intend to use this bag to carry my riding gear to destinations where I will ride on rented motorcycles. Will this bag hold a pair of adv boots, leather jacket and a full face helmet?
Hi.. just got the bag out and tried it with shark full face (flip) helmet, mid calf army type (bulky) motorcycle boots, waterproof gloves and textile motorcycle jacket with full winter liner/armour still fitted! It’s a bit of a squeeze but did all fit in and fastened for carrying.. I think taking armour and liner out would allow for it to fit better and armour/liner would easily push into gaps if that makes sense 😃
Excellent! Consider me subscribed! By the way, as the owner of a pee bottle myself, I have one that looks much like yours but the bottle part is soft rubber-type material that rolls up quite small. Amazon has them quite cheap.
No problem, here’s a link to where I bought mine from but obviously shop around..it’s a GSI Highland Fifth Flask www.ebay.co.uk/itm/265400845822?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=A19TpC4bTPC&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=MKjvCP0rTiS&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
Always keep the piss bottle simply as it’s convenient I keep mine in the pocket on my hammock, just piss and empty over the opposite side you get out ,and yes I piss a lot lol,do do a review on the air bed ,in this country your never far from civilisation as for cooking there’s always room for a cuppa in the morning or a warm drink at night I’m just getting into bike camping but have camped for years and those things I’ve mentioned are in my opinion assential
David Jones it’s great being able to pool everyone’s thoughts and experience...I’m off camping again tomorrow and will be doing the air bed review while away...think I’m taking my jetboil and flat pack coffee jug this time!! Hammocks seem very popular, have you had one a long time?
The Camping Biker yes I’ve camped in tents when my kids were young but for the last 10 years I’ve hammock camped the trouble is I prefer hammock to tent but on the bike you never know where you end up and most sites don’t have woods ,or if you wild camp you might find some where ,my tent is very small and lightweight
The Camping Biker I’ve a lot of arthritis and have always found I’m more comfortable in one though I. Will tent if necessary that’s why I await to see your review on the sleep Matt

I use a 50L dry bag too. It’s perfect for motorbike camping 🏕
tweetchris46 excellent bag, but I’ve got a horseshoe dry bag on order from Poland so will see how that works in comparison!
Thank you so much. It was so helpful.
I’m pleased it was useful and thanks for watching 👍🏻

What is the actual width of the bag across the saddle? I need to replace my tailbag and was thinking about the T50.

David Jones I sleep predominantly on my side but assume with hammock you sleep on your back?
