Don’t look like max game looks incredibly boring and empty…. these companies don’t know what it takes to make a good sequel to a game. Give the fans what they want not what you want. And this isn’t what the fans want
I mean it's been 10 years. People act and look different. Especially since she was only on HS in the original. She shares enough of a resemblance to be believable. People who think she should look exactly the same are ignorant and looking for a reason to cry.
About what I expected. I only really liked the first one, because the prequel and sequel had junior high caliber writing. True Colors was a step in the right direction with mostly believable characters and dialogue. I was already turned off by the “early access” cash grab, and since I decided I wasn’t willing to pay extra to avoid spoilers, I’ll just keep waiting until it’s discounted and bug-free.
The first life is strange had terrible writing too, it was charming and vibey, but not well written In my opinion of course I think it was good but it was a kinda novel at the time and fresh, a very different vibe that you couldn't find elsewhere. I dunno that any of the sequels really captured it for me but I think partly I just am not in that moment of my life anymore where I was so affectionate to what it was offering That said I thought true colors was quite decent until it fell apart with a really rushed climax and finale
It just went downhill for me after chapter 3.. No wonder why chapters 1 & 2 were early access (even with a price attached to it). To me the game was a solid 7.5/10 or even a 8/10 during chapters 1 and 2. But after playing the entire story, its a 6/10
@@pushsquare No, the game is fantastic, you just didn't get it. You took the wrong approach to it. It was always about Max and Safi's trauma and Max's journey to confront her past and the game did that well. I think Chapter 4 is actually one of the best chapters in the series. The game also has 9's and 10's, which shows that people got it.
@@txgoldrush Getting the story doesn't equate to higher scores. I understood perfectly well what Deck Nine were trying to do with the narrative, but that doesn't mean I have to like it, and when looking back I personally preferred previous seasons. @@pushsquare It isn't showing in your review. It shows you ignored Safi's entire arc and even it's connections in the series. More positive reviews got this right.
Lets go through this. Caledon is on holiday break, many of the students and faculty are not there. So the place looks less lively than it would in the school year. Max is barely a teacher, and grad students can be TA, so Max can relate to them more informally. The central mystery is reliant on the traumas of the characters, which is the main point. Trauma causes superpowers in the series. Why can't people get this? And the story does stay grounded. In fact, Chapter 5 goes more personal when the environment goes more crazy, just like the first. There are reasons why I think game reviewers do not judge stories well. This shows me this. You completely ignored the story about the deuteragonist here. And the emotional resonance is as strong as it ever was because of her story.
People wanted Max back. They got her 10 years later. Now they are mad that she looks different like people don't change in appearance, and personality in a decade. People just want to complain because they get off on it. These losers live to hate on anything. Doesn't matter what. If it isn't a 10 out of 10 and tailor made for them it's trash. A pretty pathetic and foolish way to play games
Finally, a review I can trust. Not that I'm looking for negativity, it's just that all the 9s for True Colors led me astray because it had too many issues to score that highly. I think reviewers really get into Honeymoon Mode with Life is Strange way too fast to step back, calm down, put your 'feels' aside, and look at the games more objectively.
Max Caulfield and the Turtleverse of Madness. Sorry Pricefield shipper here. No real love interest and nothing that mattered at the end. Max and Chloe were what made the first game. No one I care about much here.
Why would she still want someone like Chloe around? Like I've said before Chloe is as toxic and terrible to Max as Amber was to her. Max grew up matured and realized it obviously. It's pretty realistic. Sometimes no matter who they are or how much you care you have to cut toxic people out of your life
@@XvKJP2015 Thing was they were childhood friends. Later it was more like opposites attract. Max was introverted and was attracted to Chloe's outgoing nature. Chloe needed Max to keep her under control. and reassure her. Thats what I always felt anyway.
The first one was fire, Before The Storm was good too. The second one was meh, and Double Exposure is a game for woke lefties. If you can get through that and don't mind a rainbow walking sim. then all the power to you. Wasn't for me and pretty disappointed honestly.
@@Logan-dn6uv No no it really is but you have to realise that isn't a bad thing, it has no impact on how good or not the game is. But woke is good, there is nothing bad about the concept
This game is very touchy on that subject because it always has LGBT stuff, but in a manner of these are people are much outcasts as emo, hipsters, nerds and etc. Moving forward to the this modern year it doesn't feel right this time because it feels like the LGBT side is hogging the overall spotlight in a intrusive manner and for me this is why it doesn't hit hard, it feels forced and I can't help but notice it way to much and it takes from the game itself and whatever is going on. It's definitely not the small studio that made the original this time is is heavily corporate which is why there is that marketing push. On another hand though this is where I feel like record bloom is going to do vastly better it feels like a game that was truly put a lot of thought into making all elements and symbols they put into it mesh well, but those are the original people who made the original life is strange so of course they're gonna cook something great than whoever is in charge of the life is strange series.

Are you playing Life Is Strange: Double Exposure? 👀
Nope
@pushsquare I'm thinking of getting it but is it worth the 50 dollars
I wish I didn't
first 2 episodes = good
3rd episode = OK
4, 5 episodes = NO THANK YOU

Life is Strange does not run like that, and that could even cheapen the series.
