Hey, guys! Know that I am aware of what's happening in the community right now. I'm currently processing a lot of thoughts and feelings about DE after completing the first two episodes. I wanted to get this video up as a resource for those who are looking forward to the game so that you can make a better informed decision. I have a lot to say, and trust that it will be reflected in my review. Thanks for tuning in and be sure to take care and check in on one another!
In other words you hate ther creative choice. Wait untill ep 3 to 5 come out...All i will say chloe isxplaying a bigger role her and the break up or whatever exept her death is caused by the villain of the story. And you already meetvtge villain and ther ar alot if cluescto that vllsins identity...take Note ifvthe Writing in the break up Letter as it is a clue to the big Twist in ep 4 or 5
I've heard all the concerns and critiques. I'm expecting the game to perform a rug-pull that changes everything. It's rife with theories. Just like it's always been. I'm nothing but hopeful
No, and I say this as someone who got it. The paying extra for "cat content" and extra outfits and getting the episodes early is scummy. The only reason I did it is because I'm lucky enough to be financially stable and can afford it in order to not get spoiled. But the advanced access has also been super buggy, from doors being open when they should be closed, to Moses disappearing in a scene he's supposed to be in. And that's not even getting into my own mixed feelings on the episodes. Without getting into the pricefield elephant in the room (don't like how it was handled, but I'll save other thoughts for later), I don't actively dislike the game, but so far I'm really not sold either.
The early access perk was surely to entice players to get the ultimate edition and I've never been behind the idea of making players hide from spoilers for 2 weeks! I noticed quite a few things that I have mixed feelings on, especially when it comes to how certain aspects of the game were handled, but I know that I'll need more information at this point! I don't dislike the game either, and it's been great to catch up with Max, but I'm just hoping that justice is done for these characters and that certain narrative choices make sense in due time.
Agree that the ultimate edition is not worth it. I got it fully aware that I'm just a sucker for Life is Strange... which is exactly what they were counting on I suppose. It's about what I expected from Decknine, which is not really praise, but at least I had no high expectations going in. How they're handling Chloe so far is disappointing but not surprising. What does surprise me is that I don't find many of the characters actually likable or compelling with the exception of Moses and of course Max herself. And Gwen is fine. I honestly can't tell if we're supposed to like Amanda... (very minor spoilers) they sold her hard in her first scene, but the vibes when she visited Max at home seemed way off... maybe that's just me.
oh.. i actually didn't really vibe amanda in the beginning but did in max's home, i'm wondering if there's something you picked that id didn't (maybe amanda is the suspect who's framing max lol)
@@deiov Her visiting and bringing food and stuff was cool, of course. But she opens by being sarcastic about how Max is grieving, pivots to "I'm no longer interested in dating now that you might need emotional support," then starts having Max take pics of her as Max expresses (to herself/us) that she's not into it at all. But that was just my own reaction, she's probably not a bad person. I think it was probably supposed to come off as chill and playful. But in Max's place I would've been like... okay... you're actually not helping, just leave me alone lol
While I did find Amanda likeable, I can see why she could be seen as off putting. Her introduction scene being right after a major revelation was definitely a choice, and as I result, I found myself choosing the friendship route my first playthrough with how quickly things progressed and with so many unanswered questions. In previous LIS games, I appreciated getting a few scenes with potential romance options to form an opinion, but I did find her to be a cool character. Moses, Safi, Gwen, and Max are my favorites so far!
i still can't believe how badly they messed this game up for a huge chunk of the fanbase that makes it worth anything. that said, i love hannah telle, and i'm glad she's getting the accolades she deserves.
Surprisingly, the 2 weeks before release date is to patch as many bugs and glitches presented in chapters 1 and 2. You can tell because it had a 14gb update before early release and after early release(even updated the outfits so maybe they'll be more flexibility on full release day)
I liked and disliked the early access two episodes. There's a lot of good, but a few bits of bad, but regardless, I can't wait for the full release. Positives: Max, Amanda, Moses, Gwen Visuals and facial expressions Plot (towards the middle of chapter 2 is where it really kicks off) Negatives: Apperance of max randomly changing No chloe The forced romance with Vinh Performance on high end PC is medicore Choices don't feel that impactful (SO FAR) Abraxas Club (who even are they) Silly writing (finding a book that contains the date of death for a famous person, when max could've easily looked it up on her phone) Loading screens feel way longer, not a fan of random black screens transitions to gameplay

Hello :) Thanks for this overview regarding the outfits and the cat content! I must admit that I do regret buying the Ultimate Edition because the extra content doesn’t seem worth it so far; I was very bummed out when I realized that indoor and outdoor outfits were packed together and that I couldn’t choose my favorite combination. I did like a lot of the outfits actually, but the fact that some outfits come with a hair color change and, as mentioned, can’t be grouped together freely is really unfortunate :-/ Thanks for showing all variations of the cat content! Not much so far, so we’ll see how much it will be expanded in the future, though I do hope that the price of the Ultimate Edition goes down when the rest of the game releases. Oh, and I noticed that the dialogue when discovering the cat is different depending on the language! On my first playthrough, I played the Bay route with an orange tabby in English, while my second playthrough was for the Bae route with a black cat in German. Upon discovering the black cat, German Max jokingly says that she hopes it won’t bring bad luck ;D I’m very excited to hear your thoughts about the game itself! There was actually a lot of stuff I liked, but a certain decision was sadly not handled with the love it deserved … to the point where a turnaround might be too little, too late :-( Thanks again, and see you!
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! Though I'm sorry that the ultimate edition did not meet your expectations. The outfits themselves looked great, but I agree that they would have been better appreciated if we could choose which ones we wanted to wear throughout the game instead of having sets! The hair changes being optional would have also been a nice addition! It's so cool that there's actually variations in what Max can say depending on the language! It makes me curious if there's more out there too! If they do decide to reduce the price of the ultimate edition after the full game is out, I think that would be great considering the early access perk was largely what made players want to upgrade. If not, I look forward to seeing how the cat content plays out in the next few episodes! It means a lot that you're looking forward to my review! I'm excited to share more thoughts on the game and hear what you guys think as well! There were things in DE that I liked and also things that made me feel concerned, but I'm very intrigued by where they are taking the narrative this time! Hopefully we'll get answers soon!

There is no forced romance 😂😂 everything is up to the players choice you can be friendly or romantic the problem is that they’re giving us that choice too early in the game and not giving time for the characters to develop and bond throughout the game they’re already asking u to ask someone out on a date or be sexy with someone in the first two episodes that’s lazy writing tbh I friend zoned both of them because I barely know them.
