I am hearing right now around 7 great horned owl behind my house in the woods. I have heard 1 or 2 in the past but never this many. I'm in mass. One will hoot then all the others will hoot. Pretty cool.

Because owls, like this species here, are known for taking and eating small to medium sized pets, tearing them up piece by piece while they’re still alive. That and the fact that they also eat smaller owls. Nature is a cruel mistress.

Last summer as I tried to sleep with the window open I heard a pair of them calling back to one another. It was so cute and relaxing among the frogs and crickets. I love summer nights.
We have these big fluffy guys all over the forests of Long Island, NY. They’re absolutely adorable - except when you’re going for a walk at night with a flashlight, and you shine your light in a tree and you see these giant yellow eyes glaring at you. It made me jump out of my skin!
This is funny , but a little bit ago I heard a loud screech and then a Owl hooting and that screech about scared the hell out of me , it was loud !! 🦉🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I can't comprehend the mindset that would allow anyone to lock such a magnificent creature in a cage all its life and fail to recognize the cruelty of what they are doing. Imagine being an owl who never gets to glide through the beauty of the night with the air flowing gently across your wings while the soft moonlight falls all around. 😢
The owl reminds me of my childhood that I've seen this and the same sounds from a childhood game and it's just it brings nostalgic and it's the same sound and the same owl species, I didn't know these existed I'm so happy to found out and discover this. I remembee when I was a kid that owl was giving me some kind of connection with my childhood and it still does today. Thanks for this btw, beautiful owl and the short is relaxing to listen to.
