That's a big no interfering with the console's own cooling setup. These 3rd party accessory companies often don't know what they're doing with regards to cooling.
I grabbed a innoview 15.8" portable screen, 1080p/60hz/hdr/freesync, for the series s. It's 18W so I run it off a anker battery pack. Works pretty well on ps4, as well. Got it for $175, after taxes. Just alternative choices, if people are looking. My apologies. It doesnt have hdr. But everything else. Also, found out you can power it via usb on the ps4.
This looks like a good alternative for people like me who don't want to overpay for a monitor with like 5 HDMI ports and just wants to use it for a PC instead. Maybe i'll get this if something else better doesn't pop up once i get a console

You don't need anything near 1,500 watts for this setup... If you get an inverter of this size for a car you're also looking at having to upgrade the alternator and also having to install an extra battery or two.
Funny because this is the Xbox I actually have, but I think this idea makes more sense with the Series S because of how much smaller and lighter it is.

@@David-ro1sb no that is an extremely niche scenario. I didn't see a single person with a portable monitor setup like that in college. Everyone had a real monitor or a TV in their room. This makes sense for people who travel a lot and might get stuck in air ports or other places that have power, but no monitors.
I think I prefer the UpSpec Gaming option due out soon. It's 11.6" for the Series S and it clips on with two simple clamps. It also doesn't need a separate power supply and switches the xbox off using HDMI-CEC commands when the lid is closed. It's only 1080p60 but for the Series S I think that's enough... and it's marginally cheaper. I've ordered one, should be shipping next month.
Just ordered one . The way my tv is on my wall i literally play standing up which gets me upset over time but i can't wait until this comes in I can sit at my desk and play 🙏🏼
That monitor would have been better if it was sitting to the front rather than sitting at the back. At the front, you can sit however you want. At the back, as it is now, you'd have to sit fairly close and only sit in certain positions because the XBox X would end up blocking some of the screen.
@@tynao2029 I think you misunderstand. Leave the XBox in the current position, but have the screen on the side closest to you. If you somehow manage to knock your XBox off, the screen will get damaged either way.
@@andromydous you can't have the screen on top lol, it needs to be underneath so it closes and is covered up when its shut. The only possible way you could have the screen facing you on that side of the Xbox is if it were on the cover.
At this screen size, wouldn't it be better to have a native 1080p panel that ran at 120? I'd rather have the higher frame rate than an unnecessarily high res screen that had to upscale the 1080p signal to 4k.

This is good if you have a small gaming space or travel plus you can take it camping with the bag from the same brand, just get a power station instead of a power supply and you can game for a while but if you wanna go all out get some solar panels for the power station if it's a long trip

Alright I want a second opinion. Here is my situation. I currently have both the S and X. I'm considering selling the S cause the X has more storage and the disk drive. But I thought about getting the screen for the S then found out this company makes one for the X. I'm split cause I don't know if I'll use the S as much now so why invest this purchase? Most portable monitors come with a stand you could just put on top of the xbox? Is this really a viable option for the extra cost, clunkyness etc..? and it sits at the back of the xbox for some weird reason? Also, monitors that a bigger, high refresh rate, are half the price. I feel this is just a grab for affiliate money, I enjoy your channel, but shouldn't advertise rip offs.

@AstroCat that's what an all digital & soon cloud future will be. Just buying a license to play games. Even now you don't own ps5 or series x games. They require downloads,patches, updates etc. Sometimes only a few gb is on disc & rest of the game has to downloaded. The days of playing off a disc are long gone. Say in the future 10-15 or 20 years a friend gives you a copy of an xbox one or series x or ps5 game or you buy it online or Garage sale. With out those servers to download the updates, patches & rest of the game you have a useless disc or if its no longer available to buy digitally you can't play it. Also with cloud gaming you are paying just to have access to servers to play. You own nothing. The future of gaming as far as collecting or owning is becoming a thing of the past & extinct
I just picked up the 4K version of this screen for the Series S. I can confirm it will do 1080p/120hz. Killer display and an awesome setup all around.

Unless your really deep into the Xbox console ecosystem a $700 gaming laptop makes more sense from both a cost and functionality perspective.

If you are a streamer this would be fun. Take it on the go and attach the camera ontop. You just need a port extension and power booster

I only use my serie x with this monitor, im a truck driver, i only play in my truck. For the power i use a double usb, i can get the volume to 100%

Why does it look like GTA is running at 30fps? Is it locked on console? I had it on my PS4 Pro and it felt like it was running at 15fps.
4K at 12" is overkill imo. I would rather have 1440p @ 120Hz or even 1080p even. 17" 4K would be nice.

This "monitor" runs games at 1080p up to 120hz. It only does 4K 60hz in movies. This is why ETA doesn't show the picture details on the Xbox menu.

Unfortunately it was well laid out within the contract you had to agree to that they had the right to suspend your account if it was an inactive.
