Regarding price on eBay, I’m not sure if people know that they can set the filter for “sold” listings, and it gives a much better idea of actual market value than just those listings with wishful thinking sellers.
Selling price being low doesn't mean that is the actual value of a doll .
i bought a doll off Ebay (Franklin Mint vinyl portrait doll of 1st lady Michelle Obama)
that cost me less than 3.00 nude but if you bought it in it's box with it's original outfit , you wouldn't find it for less than 350.00
i still haven't found the original dress for sale but did buy both of the spare outfits that were sold separately at their full value costs . .
I remember seeing the gaga doll on clearance for like AUD$30 years ago debating whether I should buy it or no but I had no money and didn't collect dolls back then so I didn't, I always regreted it
That’s how I feel about not buying back stage passes to Gaga in 2008!
I bought it on presale for $69, but sold it on eBay last yr for $100 (auction)
So…. started the collection as a child in the 1990s, and the joke is: almost every NFRB/MIB doll from that era has not had any increase in value! 😂😂😂 The priciest dolls are the vintage 1960s dolls I could finally afford with my adult money. Most of the collection is play-line; as of yet there are no silkstone dolls.
I've never seen that she-ra doll/box before and I'm a little obsessed with it now. Really cool collection, the faraway forest elf has been on my dream wishlist since I got back into dolls a couple years ago. That and the "haunted beauty mistress of the manor" doll. It seems like Barbie used to have a lot more...special dolls like that collection.

The first doll I collected as an adult was the WWE Superstars Naomi. I rerooted and rebodied her and consider her to be my favorite of all of the dolls that I own. She has the biggest smile I’ve ever seen on a doll. I recently looked online to get another. The cheapest (and only) one I found new in box was $300. Used, she’s about a tenth of that price.

Arjen, beautiful dolls! But, I gasped when you showed the incredible video of all the Barbie and Ken dolls onboard that fabulous ocean liner!!!!!! How incredible it must have been incredible for the lucky people chosen to be a part of dressing and choosing the dolls then creating and decorating the ship! As for a favorite, well I love everything about the Unicorn Barbie from her face sculpt, makeup, hair color to her costume. Thank you so much for sharing your collection with us. Beautiful collection. I really love silkstone Barbies. One of my most favorite line. I got my very first one over month ago. I was floored to see how heavy she is…and it reminded me of my first Barbie’s back in early 60’s. I decided to start on collecting them. My goal is to buy one silk stone Barbie’s every 2 months. I would love to get at least 6 of them by end of this year. I don’t collect other different dolls…only with vintage look Barbie’s. It just too nostalgic to have them that reminded of my childhood.
I was a child in the 90s, too. I'm so glad, I can buy some toys in the Internet.
Bought my first computer (VTech smart start speller,1989). It was very cheap, but the shipping costs are extremly high.
The Hollywood Hair Teresa costs 185$ and the Totally Hair Barbie (still waiting for her) costs 135$.
I also found offers e.g. from Europe among 600€...😮
European prices for 90s Barbies are just insane and ridiculously high sometimes 🙈
I totally enjoyed seeing your fabulous Top 15 Dolls. Amazing each of them as was your wonderful narrative to go with them. My one and only grandchild, my granddaughter has just come to live with me, she is a very young adult and has never seen all the dolls I collected with her in mind. We plan on having a lot of fun organizing the Doll's Room as soon as she gets settled in. Of course, she has no genuine interest in any of them, it's just amusing that I started to collect with her in mind.

The most expensive dolls that I own are Fashionista No.4: Donut Girl and No 107: Skipper girl with the shaved head, and the Curvy Made To Move Dancer.
Such a beautiful collection! I think my favorite is the Unicorn Goddess and the 90s Mermaid, but they’re all very pretty with wonderful details. Also, I recently heard that the BFMC is making a comeback! So yay for that 😀🥳 as always, thanks for another great video. Your content always makes me smile ❤

About The Barbie Look doll. She's the only one I have, I bought her not long after she was released and she was already going up in price (I paid about 75€ for her) but I thought she was so beatiful that I didn't mind spending that money for her (I'm not a collector, just an appreciator). I was just looking for her a couple of weeks ago out of curiosity to see if she was still around and I was shocked about the prices they sell her for. And I thought that now I could (if I wanted) sell her for almost a month worth of my salary (I saw someone sellingher even at 800€!). Obviously I looked at her on my shelf and just knew it wouldn't happen, I like her so much head to toe, her face mold, her fashion style, all of it. At that time I was undecided between her and the boho chic but that modern city look and the Karl mold got the best of me. I'm happy to have her, she's a favorite of mine still now. I prefer modern Barbies, the Looks line and @BarbieStyle line are my favoritesright now
Dolls have always been special to me my grandfather regularly took pictures for the sears catalogue he worked for mattel dolls were something i shared with my grandfather he died when i was 12 dolls and photography 2 of my fave hobbies

The water sprite Barbie is one of the most beautiful barbies I’ve ever seen, for sure in a fantasy genre if not in general. She is a collectors dream. 🩵🫧🧚🏻
I have a vintage Casey who originated the Becky face mold. One of the few dolls with a wide smile that i don't find creepy. She
just looks so happy. Don’t open that Licca Chan Saniro set you will be so disappointed by the quality. Saw a unboxing a couple of months ago it has playline quality.
None of mine are worth quite that much but I have some very prized dolls in my collection that I wouldn't be able to get today. I have the 2011 couture angel and the 2006 Barbie collector golden angel. I have the 2006 tooth fairy in the white dress. I got all of those when they were in stores. And I recently got the 2004 Barbie Fairytopia Enchantress doll for about $12 at a second hand store still in her box. None of them are astronomical prices, but definitely above my doll budget for a single doll. And very much loved.

Your #1 doll is beautiful! You have a great collection. My priciest doll is the original Superstar Christie in her box. I got her at a reasonable price about 20 years ago. I’m glad cause I’d never be able to afford her now. ❤❤

These are some amazing dolls! I really love that She-ra, I was obsessed with the She-ra dolls when I was little and I had a ton plus the castle... I do love the Sweater Dress Barbie and those Silkstone Barbies but I could never afford them and even if I could I don't know if I could pay that much for a doll.

I have got also the whole The Look collection. The Look Hipster Barbie is very sought and popular because she has the rare Karl face.. - I wouldn´t sell one of The Look Barbies. I love them. One of the best Barbie lines.

Oh, I didn't know Magical Hair Mermaid was such a rare doll. I find her second hand (very bad state, I must say) usually in vinted for a really cheap price. But it's true that finding her in box is really expensive. I'm proud that she was my first barbie and that I still got her in very good condition. I love that doll to the core.

I really wish that a website would exist shows the approximate prices for dolls in the USA , Europe and other continents.
Not sure but my most expensive doll could be Synergy from Integrity Toys , maybe the Mayhem in Monte Carlo Poppy Parker or Video Montgomery also of Integrity Toys ... back in the days was all just arround 100 - 150 Euro , the prices at ebay are now insane and I don't trust them.
Not sure about my Barbies , because I got many signature doll heads now on made to move bodies.

I have Becky. When I saw her,I had to get her. I love her pantset. The colors are beautiful! I have several silkstone Barbies! Their quality is the best. I love your collection! Preferably pink is on my wish list. I was able to get Midge Jewel Mermaid. I now have all three.

When I see prices like that, I tell myself I will learn to customize dolls. I also need to learn to make dresses 👗 like those. When I was a kid I was not bad with that craft. I am slowly gathering my materials and watching tutorials. But I would never buy expensive dolls like that, the only signature line I would buy is Barbie looks line because it is affordable. I don’t care about the box, I care about doll herself and outfit, and I am not attached to certain dolls. I watched custom doll videos, and I saw people make beautiful dolls, of course I am just a beginner, and would not go that far, but still want to start something. At least with craft I will play less video games 😅😅😊
Im really glad i got the Barbie Starlight Adventure blonde and the twin Sheena after i watched the movie its nice the pink girl has ombre glitter on her limbs its really pretty.

Ze gaat dus naar een feestje, nachtelijk event, bal etc. En ja ze is prachtig elegant. I remember seeing the Barbie Look girls on Amazon, back in the day, but wasn't into collecting them then. If only I had! There was a toy report recently (I think it was called Marketplace?), it was just a sample report as the real one is for the industry and thus cost £1000's, but it said briefly that dolls and doll collecting is only gonna get bigger between now and 2030! I think this could be really good news for collectors and maybe they'll all 'up their game', if the competition is going to get fierce.
