I caught a crayfish in the Ross river out near the mouth on the south side, on a fishing rod of all things.

I've also been down there and watched a bloke pull a cray up. On the Boundary Street side under the bridge.
A short little speargun 600mm - 750mm with a single rubber is ideal for crays , full length gun is a pain in the caves and hollows , often get green crays around rocky foreshores and painteds further out . Shot plenty near Cairns years ago when I lived up there .

@@SkidPig can only use nav lights unless youre docking etc, thats just the rules. Imagine you trying to workout where youre going while someone shines a torch in both your eyes. I shine lasers at people with lightbars, they turn it off pretty quick.

I'm with you about the oysters SKIDPIG. Kilpatrick are the go, however, should you ever be down near the township of 'The Caves' in CQ just north of Rockhampton, there are no oysters that beat the, caves oysters at the Caves Pub. Best oysters on the face of the Earth!
