Rolling Quartz are surprisingly excellent live. I always think their recordings need more “cowbell”, or at least fuller production, but live, they’re a rock band and were one of my favorite shows from 2023. They’ll be here in the US this year again and I shall try to be on that rail!
Great reaction React - O - Mat ! Love Rolling Quartz 💎 - they're a great K-Rock 🎸 band. I watched RQ 💎 in concert in Melbourne on 06SEP24, when they toured Australia 🇦🇺 for the first time. They were excellent Live !! 🎤🎸👌 Here are some of my favourite RQ 💎 songs that have a Music Video. If you watch a few you'll realise Rolling Quartz 💎 are a very versatile Rock 🎸 band. Their songs can vary from Hard Rock, Classic Rock, and Pop Rock to Ballads. Enjoy! * [MV] "Blaze" (their 2020 debut single) * [MV] "Azalea" by Rolling Quartz (ENG Subtitles) * [MV] "Fearless" by Rolling Quartz (3rd Single) * [MV] "Stand Up" by Rolling Quartz (4th Single) ✔️ * [MV] "Victory" by Rolling Quartz (New/5th Single) * "ONE" by Rolling Quartz (Official Live Performance MV) (New 2024) * [MV] "Red Wine" by Rolling Quartz / Another Video (New 2024) * AC/DC - "Highway To Hell" cover by Rolling Quartz (Australia Tour 2024 tribute song) * [MV] "Delight" by Rolling Quartz * [MV] "Holler" by Rolling Quartz * [MV] "Reminiscence" by Rolling Quartz (cover song, great ballad) * "Rock'n'roll Paradise and Drum Solo" (Official Live Video) * [MV] "Good Night" (Dreamcatcher) by Rolling Quartz * [MV] "NAZABABARA" by Rolling Quartz (Cameo - from No Brain) * [MV] "Sing Your Heart Out" by Rolling Quartz * "Zitti E Buoni" - Måneskin Cover by Rolling Quartz (HOT ver.) * "PINK DROP = Pink Venom x MIC Drop" by AleXa x Rolling Quartz (BTS & BLACKPINK Rock Cover) * "Bad Romance" (Lady Gaga, Halestorm) by Rolling Quartz (LIVE) * My Chemical Romance - "Helena" Cover by Rolling Quartz * "Youth Gone Wild" (Skid Row) by Rolling Quartz (Color Live) .
⭐ FYI - React - O - Mat ⭐ Rolling Quartz are an Indie Rock 🎸 band. RQ 💎 formed when 2 Korean Rock bands - Rolling Girlz & Rose Quartz - decided to pool their talents and become one. Hence their name - Rolling Quartz. They debuted in 2020 under Rolling Star Entertainment with the single and MV 'Blaze'. RQ 💎 is comprised of 5 members: Jayoung 💛 🎤, Hyunjung 💙 🎸, Iree ❤️ 🎸, Arem 🖤 B🎸, and Yeongeun 💜 🥁 . RQ 💎 Name Pronunciations: 💛 Jah - Young 💙 Hyun - Jung ❤️ Eye - Ree 🖤 Ah - Rem 💜 Young - En . RQ 💎 toured the US 🇺🇲 in 2023, and UK & Europe 🏰 early 2024. Both tours were very well received. They've already announced their 2nd Europe 🏰 Tour which will commence in early 2025. Recently expanded with 3 Scandinavian concerts - Oslo 🇳🇴 , Copenhagen 🇩🇰 , & Stockholm 🇸🇪 - the Tour consists of 13 concerts, in 11 different countries 🇬🇧 🇳🇱 🇩🇪 🇫🇷 🇪🇸 🇮🇹 🇵🇱 🇫🇮 🇳🇴 🇩🇰 🇸🇪 . The Tour is set to commence in January 2025. RQ 💎 also toured Australia 🇦🇺 for the first time in early September 2024. I watched them at their Melbourne 🇦🇺 concert on 06SEP24. The RQ 💎 girls were rocking 🎸- they were excellent Live !! 😊 PS A recent interview with RQ 💎 mentioned the band were set for their 2nd US 🇺🇸 Tour - to take place in the first half of 2025. However at present, no US 🇺🇸 Tour cities or dates have been announced.
Just my opinion, but I don't think its about heaviness, but all the songs I've heard sound quite "thin"? I don't know enough about music to know exactly why, if its just production, layers in the arrangement, tones of the instruments, busyness of the instruments, lack of keyboard, lack of samples etc...but if you compare to say Trident , who aren't "heavy metal" then they sound much fuller, as do all other bands I can think of in similar musical space. I think it may also be something to do with tempo, this is quite slow, I'm trying to think if that was the case with other songs I heard by them, compared to the high energy of a lot of J-Rock.
I do agree on the 'thin' description. Don't think it has to do with the tempo though, since I can think of slower songs that sound really 'full' as well (take some of Nemophilas power ballads for example). I'm not sold on their style yet tbh because I also percieve it as something 'lacking' from the music, but like I mentioned in the video, we recently did a talk about them on Ears to the East where we discuss them and kind of exactely that topic ;)
@ DIH “Not Enough” MV and KARDI “No Need” MV. DIH are more 80’s/90’s western hard rock and KARDI are really closer to J-rock. Both bands have great singers.
They are at their best when they are live.

I'll make sure to give them a listen live 👍

@@react-o-mat Oh for sure, not just the tempo, I was just wondering if it didn't help.
I like Rolling Quartz (I have their very first single “Blaze” on CD) but I prefer other k-rock bands like DIH or KARDI
Haven't heard of those yet. Could you recommend a song?

@@2abug Thanks!
I like quite a lot of the stuff i've heard, but can't help cringing a bit at the way they are presented in videos.
Par for the course for K-pop.
Yeah that's definately the K-Pop side of things 😅 (which I honestly don't care much about, I'm here for the music and not to look at young women 😉)
@@react-o-mat I'm here for both, but I'm evil
