These are the best sounding planet zs that I've ever heard. Nice video. I can tell ur good at recording these videos cause they sound good like my zildjian A customs.
I bought a second hand drum set for $326 together with the Z ride and the crash, i kinda don't like the way the ride sounds though. The crash sounds fine. The hats are also fine.
I have higher end cymbals but these sound very nice for entry level cymbals. Way better than the B8 Sabian stuff I started out on in the 90s. They do look a bit cheesy/cheap, but it doesn't really matter if they sound good.
Craig from personal experience i would have to say paiste 101 or meinl hcs. the whole hcs line sounds pretty good as well. the hats i play cost £30 more- zultan aja- but i would only recommend those if you live in the uk or europe as the shipping price would be astronomical.

I have this set, only the sound of the crash does not convince me . someone knows because when I touch does not produce the characteristic sound of a cymbal, I think it's very heavy so when I hit strong sound is very accurate , if you know what I mean.
What, the ride doesn't even sound like a brass cymbal. isnt this like a steel alloy or something beside brass? I have a Meinl brass ride, its kind of mellow pingy jazzy... If not using the Zildjian I series crash/ ride,which is like a paiste 2002 almost for me..
These actually don't sound terrible for an entry level set. These are a brass alloy, but not a cheap Walmart yellow brass cymbal. These apparently are made from some proprietary Nickle - Silver brass which doesn't decay as fast as brass and has more stick definition.
My planet Z 14 inch hi hats I would give 4 stars, sounds great but the little lock washer type thingy under the top cymbals keeps coming loose and I have to buy something to keep in place. The crash sounds alittle heavy for its size. The ride just sounds like a heavy crash, do not recommend. the crash ride is really good for a crash ride, when used as a ride you don't get to much of a crash sound like other crash rides.

Adquiri eles recentemente e gostei demais do som e da qualidade deles. Mesmo sendo de uma linha iniciante correspondem muito bem ao meu uso para dar aula e tocar em gigs e eventos. Super indico! No meu canal tem uns vídeos dos meus alunos tocando neles, confiram lá!
Quem entende de som ne,pq cara esse ki t é ruim demais,não presta,pelo preço não vale a pena,com esse preço vc compra pratos melhores,se duvidar até um b20 chinês,e se por um pouco mais de grana,tu pega uns zildjian sabian b20 usado com preço de revenda

I just got mine , they are pretty good for the entry level and Practicing or school bands and jamming with friends . I would recommend to anyone who wants to start drums . but for anything more serious you should get something more expensive .

Dude I had a set delivered yesterday and they are incredible. You can definitely use them for rock. This video actually doesn't do them justice. The 16" crash and 20" ride both have explosive sound qualities and respond well to how you hit them
João Reis vão rachar de ctz, punk e metal precisam de pratos do tipo Medium pra cima (experiência própria) semprei usei B8 Pro da Sabian e ZBT da Zildjian, por serem liga B8 acabam sendo mais rígidos e brilhantes ideais pra punk e derivados, opção mais barata e nacional quase ao nível: Octagon Groove ou OC-2000
O timbre desse kit não é dos melhores, tem nacionais que o supera e acaba sendo custo benefício. A Zildjian é tradição em excelência, creio que esse kit deve ser o acessível no quesito "estudante" por isso um timbre mais simples porém com qualidade (durabilidade).
Não quero ser chato! Mas há uma certa microfonação e maquiagem! Recomendo KREST RUSTIC B-10 de 20" um baita Crash-Ride e com um só prato vc dá uma Festa! OBS: hi-hat Orion Bacalhau de 15" - um outro Rustic de 18 ou 19 e pronto fechou o set: H-H / 1 Ride / e um bom crash .....
E planet z é cobre zinco e níquel, o som dos pratos ao vivo é outra coisa, lembro que quando tocava o primeiro hi hat que tive foi o Orion solo pro, prato péssimo cheio de harmônicos indesejados, mascaravam bem o prato
Nunca vi ninguém usar planet Z, muita gente até hoje acha que são pratos falsificados 🤣, já tive o desprazer de testar Zildjian, ZBT,ZHT, são horríveis, único prato que tem logo Z e é bom são os Zildjian Z Custom
These cymbals were a better value than ZBTs at the time, sounded just as good but much less money. That's why Zildjian had to remake a worse version of these using brass instead of nickel silver.
+James Heesterman i actually like these better than zbt's. zbt's have very ugly overtones that these seem to lack (or hear less of). That crash ride is dangerously thin though... not necessarily a bad thing though!
These are way better than the zbts zhts sabian b8s and SBR and better than menil HCS these obviously in the top 4 In my opinion 4. Z planets 3.zildjan S 2 k custom and my favorite a customs

They're pretty decent for Metal.
I play Metal with an 18" crash ride, and a huge plus is they're cheap enough to replace if the crack.

Yes, Planet Z is the most entry level you can go disregarding unbranded cymbals and metal dinner plates
