Exactly I clicked it thinking purple food colouring in everything but was so happy that she bought groceries and cooked herself healthy meals. Not everyone can afford expensive food but this is relatable and in budget
I mean, she's Asian and a lot of vegetables and fruits found in the Asian continent are purple. You can barely find purple foods that are indigenous to anywhere else.

I think she's one of the few that didn't cheat with the colour challenge by simply putting food colouring and calling it a day. I respect her creativeness and her attempts of utilizing natural-coloured foods she can find/make.

What i love about inga's mono colour food video is that she is more well researched regarding the food she chose to eat compares to the others. And she actually tried to balance out the meals. Some others just blatantly choose meals that are purple regardless their types.

not really(?) i feel like blue would be more difficult(?) black beans, black olives, shitake mushrooms, seaweed and black fungus (it's an asian thing i don't know if you've had it, basically a slightly crunchy but still watery fungus?) for vegetables, black chicken is a thing we usually boil for soup but i guess you could eat it (texture kinda akin to turkey i guess) century egg and sea cucumber if you like it, black rice or squid ink pasta or charcoal bread for carbs, black pepper, black sesame, black garlic, fermented soya beans, truffle, all sorts of soy sauce and balsamic vinegar for seasoning and garnishing. also idk if it counts but way too many things can be easily made black with black ingredients or by roasting/charring it so, breakfast: black soy milk from black beans + a black sticky rice roll with shitake mushroom fried in black sesame oil. this breakfast combination is actually pretty common (well more often it's white rice and white soy milk, and black soy milk is more like gray but for the purpose of this it'll do or black coffee maybe?) lunch: black garlic, soy sauce, black chicken broth with squid ink noodles, shitake mushroom, and seaweed + black fungus and century eggs as cold side dishes, coca cola for drink if you don't want to drink up the salty noodle broth dinner: squid ink pasta topped with truffles, olives dressed in balsamic vinegar, black bean soup (I'm sure there are black tortillas and fancy ass black salad leaves, and black cheeses and blood sausages and all sorts of fermented black food out there but idk so I'll leave that for now) and a lot of food are like in between black and brown possible snacks: seasoned seaweed snacks, oreos, black sesame froyo or ice cream (i didn't make this up this is a legit flavour we have XD), charcoal bun, black sesame sweet soup

Beets would have been a natural purple food coloring. Ube = purple yam and Purple sweet potato, which you could have made pancakes with.

winky wink ube is purple yam. Purple sweet potato is different. Ube is more expensive compare to purple sweet potato, but both are naturally sweet.
