GMA - Kulasa (1999)

It's hard to believe that in the 90s there were no exclusivity contracts or uncompromising network wars. The biggest stars on each channel were free to go to the "rival" network without incident or repercussions.
A great example of that is this little-known telesine called "Kulasa" in which ABS-CBN franchise players/love team Judy Anne Santos and Wowie De Guzman worked on this GMA project while in the midst of shooting "Esperanza".

Uso sa GMA Telesine na maiguest ang mga artista ng kabilang istasyon, until the 2002 intense network war became so bad, artist being an exclusive network talent existed.

Kasi indepedently-produced naman ‘yung bawat telesine, hindi siya solely network-produced…’yung production outfits ang nakikipag-deal na makuha ‘yung mga artista, hindi ang GMA mismo. That’s why noong teen years nila, we would also see the likes of Jolina, Judy Ann, Wowie and Claudine na mas identified with ABS back then on GMA Telesine.

Sana maipalabas to sa GMA life TV 1999 naman to eh, sure ako kumpleto pa to sa archives ng GMA no need to restore sound editing nalang at pwede nato ma air ulit. btw, nung naka pending to a month ago I was expecting this to be a drama pero ngayon ko lg nalaman romantic comedy pala 😊

Another inter-network star exchange was with ABS-CBN's Oki Doki Doc where Jimmy Santos played a supporting role. Santos would later co-star in _Praybeit Benjamin_ who portrayed Vice's on-screen father.
