Jennifer Jochman most people don’t actually wait... they’re just used to cops on tv saying they can’t act until 24 hours is up for plot convenience lol.
Yeah my mom reported me missing once. I had only been gone maybe 6-7 hours but she lied and said I was gone for over 24 to get them to take it seriously. I last minute decided to go to a friend's and my phone died while I was sleeping.
@@AnimeCrims That's a very bad cop. There's no law regarding needing to wait 24 hours. If they're kidnapped, lost, etc it's very important to report it early before anything bad could happen- a lot can happen in 24 hours.
Unless you have some sort of connection to the local police, they'll tell you to sod off and that they can't do anything until it's been a full day. Isn’t that “24 hours” thing just a myth? I imagine you could get away with a lot in 24 hours, so they probably don’t want to give potential kidnappers/Kevins a nice head start.
7:44 Correct. Formatting a hard drive just resets the partition table. You could easily restore any data since it's not deleted but no longer indexed in the MBR. You need pseudorandom full-disk writes to make data unrecoverable.
6:13, I don't know where the whole "you have to wait 24 hrs to report a missing person" came from, but it's untrue. Report the missing person as soon as you can once you are certain they are missing. Especially if you're on a trip and they haven't come back "in an hour".
Actually, the "24 Hours" thing is a myth and authorities advise to call them as soon as you suspect something to be up. Simply put, waiting 24 hours before calling authorities in the case of a serious kidnapping or likewise is pretty much handing the kidnapper their victim, as within those 24 hours they could have killed them, taken them however far away from the scene of the kidnapping, etc. The earlier you report, the more likely the police are going to be able to find/save them.
I'm sure other people will point this out but just in case: in many places you don't need to wait 24 hours to call in a missing person, you can make the report any time if you have reason to believe something unusual is going on or the person is in danger. This idea goes around and causes people to actually wait unnesicarily because they think it's true.

Actually it's a myth that you can't report a missing person until it has been 24 hours. Depending on the circumstance, they may wait before starting a search, but they would rather be informed of the scenario as soon as possible.
PLAN TO GET RID OF JACK: Step 1: Push him off a lake surrounded by residential houses. Step 2: Call #1-2-3-4 to contact the cops to report your "friend" who was missing for a mere hour. Make sure you've got your calm but croaky voice on, as if your privates got hit by a car door. And Step 3: If you're being haunted and the cops suspected you anyways, which is a most likely scenario, lie on a conveyor belt that'll send you to hell...... or a random plane's cargo hold. The. End. Not a good game, but enjoyed the comedy nonetheless. XD
That missing persons report 24 hour delay is a myth by the way, it makes sense. If your child went missing why would you have to wait for a day? Losing your kid for an hour is a perfectly good reason to report it.
You do NOT have to wait 24hrs to report a missing person. If they are missing when they shouldn't be and you can not get in touch with them when you normally can you should report them as missing. Most frequent calls are about missing elderly people that have diminished capacity. Dispatchers relay information immediately to patrol units.
Problems with plan: 1 why go to fucking Denver sudden trips are suspicious, 2 deleting/formatting stuff on a computer only tells the computer that the area is “empty” it doesn’t actually get rid of what’s there, so assuming you don’t fill your hard drive with new data the feds can just retrieve the data, 3 drugged water is a shitty way of killing jack since drugs tend to have tastes and water doesn’t have taste, jacks not going to drink weird shit tasting water, 4 why call the police to begin with, just leave his body there and bail, 5 and on the matter of the body did Kevin not weigh down jacks body? Cuz if not that’s a flaw. That’s five flaws found by a layman who’s planning skills top out at “do the thing”
🤓 Fun fact: The 24hr thing, to report a missing person, is actually misconception... In most cases you can report a person missing any time, if there is good cause to think they are gone or in danger. Especially if it's a child of course... 🤓
John's messy hair was perfect for when he was reading the secret plan to get rid of Jack. And, you are right John, formatting a hard drive does not get rid of the data, it merely tells the computer that it is "okay" to write over old data. So, deleting (or formatting) leaves the data intact until it is overwritten. So it can be easily recovered unless it has been overwritten.

Hey John. Great video (and terrible game), but I have to say that you CAN (at least in most countries) and you should report missing person as soon, in less than 24h. Most frequent calls are about missing elderly people that have diminished capacity. Dispatchers relay information immediately to patrol units.
Got to love John's witty playthroughs of these bad horror games
And people hated greenlight. Now steam let's porn and low quality games in with zero quality control...
Hey man, lay off the porn...
If it was just quality porn games, that would be neat, but fake trash porn is even worse.
@@sold0ut210 not to forget. But you also gotta have to pay for most of them
speaking abot porn, search for Space Paws, you may like it

A door for olive oil or smth. :D
The guide at the end was pretty funny.
I mean, the whole video was a joy to watch with your commentary :)
Soo many uploads lately and I’m binge watching older ones, I need to start taking your channel intravenously
“It’s like a door for olive oil” I AM DECEASED
You don't need to wait 24 hours. One hour could be enough to call the police depending on the circumstances.
This playthrough is still absolutely hilarious every time I rewatch it.
That's a LOT of blood for a DROWNING.... LOL
John, I can’t believe you didn’t read the review where the author wrote “I have over 3000 hours in this game” WHAT? 😂
Almost a month later, this video is still funny. John's face at 9:34 is just priceless.
The 9 reviews on steam are either fake accounts or the dev's friend. That's the only reasonable explanation!!
John playing bad horror games will never get old
I can't even describe how much I laughed a this video oh my god XD
"The thrill never gets old and the replay value is great. I have about 3000 hours on this game exploring the deep lore and gameplay mechanics." - Sure Jan.
The real horror is watching John playing this horror of horror game. Did I mentioned how horrific horrid this horrid horror game is?
Yes and it was horrifying
I love how he made sure to use a special font for the title of the murder plan like it was some kind of high school report
John, you do *not* have to wait 24 hours to report a missing person. That is a common misconception and just wrong.
Love the description
13:01 Skinny legends that’s who..
The steam guide killed me! Also, I liked that the key features mentioned were, "Interactable objects: full of colors" and the phone.
This is scare game!! I spit out my breakfast, toast, cornflakes when i watch this, haha..
Story was really good, as good they get for 70 ct. I did not expect Kevin to murder Jack today. But I like it all smooth.
John never fails to make a shitty game funny 😆 that “oh shit! what the fuck!” 9:20 i’m crying 🤣
That hair tho
"that's not how phones work! You can't call anyone. Unless they have 1234 in them" lol!
I have a feeling the one dislike on the video (at the time) is the developer. What he probably did was check youtube to see if anyone had played this game and watched all the videos. But disliked this one because John disliked his game.
John mocking game furniture and the arrangement is the funniest thing in the world XD
Hey John. Great video (and terrible game), but I have to say that you CAN (at least in most countries) and you should report missing person as soon, in less than 24h. It's one of the not only very popular but also very harmful "film myths", because the first 24-48h is crucial when searching for missing people.
I bet it was like. Minx: "Hey john, you should play this game you are soooo gonna 'LIKE' this game."
John's Comb is Missing.
I love when you go over the game descriptions and comments. They're gold hahahaha
you don't have to wait 24 hours to report a missing person, they could be dead by that time! come on John I know you're smarter than that! 🤣
"Your Nan's" review of the game is truly something else.
"A Markiplier kind of game."
Kinda says it all right there.
Anyone else here from John thankfully naming this in the Bathhouse? I'm so glad he said it, I loved this one!!
I can smell this game cringe from Miles away
I really do enjoy watching John play bad games. His sarcasm and dry sense of humor are hysterical.
