@@dinorex3464 Lol the voice acting is great except Niko can't speak his native language at all. Plenty of grammar and pronunciation mistakes in the few bits of Serbian dialogue in the game.

This reminds me of that scene in gta v where micheal says "you thought you were big enought and bad enought that you didn't had to play by the rules"
Despite me hating Dimitri I love when he says "If there is something I've learned is that we must obey the rules of the game. We can pick the game Niko Bellic. But we cannot change the rules".

Yeah, a statement he so obviously poured his soul into, seeing as how he betrayed pretty much everyone he came into contact with, lol. Foreshadowing with irony always leads to confusion and debate.

Saddest thing about this mission is that Mikhail was never a bad guy, he just lost his mind with so many drugs and in the end he's right about the sense of achieving the american dream. Sums up the entire game.
Yup, this should have been an alternative choice to this mission, decide to spare Mikhail's life. Some parts of the game should had alternatives that could have influence a lot on the end of the storyline. Like when you have to kill Anthony cause he was an informant, i wish i could let him live so Pegorino would have fall and Kate would be alive.
I find the saddest thing is if Niko decided to kill Dimitri right there instead of obeying him and killing Mikhail he might've avoided Roman's death.

Dimitri’s line about “the rules of the game” is probably the most underrated in all forms of entertainment (TV, movies, video games). Sends chills down my spine every time I hear it, because everybody who dies in the criminal business dies because they tried to change to rules in their favor.

Years late but The Wire (2002-2008) summed this up beforehand "It's all in the game yo". Phenomenal show everyone who didn't understand the rules, follow them, or as you said tried to change them into their favor suffered the consequences. It also has a huge basis to real life documentary like but fiction.

Benyamin Kh you hear the backstory of Niko and Dimitri. Dimitri betrays his platoon and has them killed with Niko being the only survivor. I went for revenge on that slimy bastard Dimitri

One of the truest lines in the game, along with the “American Greed” and the “Rules of the game” ones. Mikhail Faustin, along with Phil Bell, is one of the characters in the game who had strong dialogue - every one of his lines was powerful. GTA IV is the most powerful and serious GTA ever.

This both sets up how he had been in contact with Bulgarin and had helped him in finding Niko and how he continued to be a thorn in nikos side as he kept travelling through the city
It's also relevant to Niko's reasons for being in the city. After all, Niko also came in search of "someone special."

Faustin needed to relax but he certainly wasn't a traitor. He could have smoked some weed every now and then.
I feel like Faustin wouldn't have fucked Niko over. Yeah, Faustin was crazy and not a pleasant guy to be around, but I feel like he was the good guy at the end of the day- he spared Niko and I don't think he had connections with Ray Bulgarin. Also, he was right about the "American Greed" and he has foreseen the future by saying "Dimitri will turn on you as well...". But if it wasn't for what happened in the game, what would the story be?
Weird scenario: Niko didn't kill Faustin it was just fake and Mikhail reveal himself in russian revolution with Dimitri. Dimitri tried to kill Niko but Mikhail spared him and then he made Faustin to agree to test his loiality

@@vlad4083 If he spared Faustin, they wouldve probably arranged a fake death to lure Dimitri into a trap instead of the other way around in the game, when the time came, Niko and Faustin and Faustin's men wouldve stormed the building, killed Dimitris men and ended GTA 4 right there by killimg Bulgarin and Dimitri

No I'm a low end pc player and I completed this mission in getting only 8 or 10 fps.
The main difficulty is Mikhail can run away (thus failing the mission for you) and you have to hurry. You can't stand comfortably in the club and shoot his goons, waiting for the good moment. You have to do it quickly or just blast throught them.

I don't think killing Faustin was such a hard choice for Dimitri. He was in good with Petrovic which angered Faustin. So Petrovic and Bulgarin gently persuaded Dimitri to have Niko kill Mikhail. That's what Dimitri wanted, if he couldn't kill Niko first, he'd kill Faustin.

@@Jeansowaty yep. Dimitri was already aligned with Bulgarin and petrovic. Once Niko outlived his usefulness by killing Faustin so Dimitri could take over Dimitri gave him up to Bulgarin.

The reason I really like this game is because of the delicate character movements. 0:09 Niko, who doesn't know that Dimitri is a traitor yet but sits down looking around because of his cautious personality and Dimitri, who is already thinking of betraying him and pretends to be anguished over killing a loved one...

So if you kill Mikhail, Petrovich will spare you, but Dimitri will turn on you as well, like he did with Faustin. But if you spare Mikhail, Dimitri's plan will fail, and Mikhail, Dimitri, and Niko will be in trouble by Kenny Petrovich, who will retaliate against the three.

I feel bad for kill Faustin, he was cool.
I kept my eyes shut for a while the moment I'm about to execute him.
Kept thinking if he does not deserve it, but I realised, there is no turning back. To move on, there is no other way to finish him other than pulling the trigger.

I also liked him most of the time except for the fact that he was a dick to his wife, which is why I didn't felt as bad for killing him.

People forget, no matter how right Mikhail was about Dimitri, he was still a delusional monster that reacted violently to everything.
Niko was between a rock an a hard place. He kills Faustin only to be betrayed by Dimitri later on and basically be on the run the whole game. But sparing Faustin and killing Dimitri would likely have gotten Niko killed or in Jails simply by how eratic Mikhail acted and responded to events.

The name of this mission is a direct reference to the novel "The Master and Margarita" which is about the devil visiting the soviet union. Also I find it coincidental Faustin is very similar to Faust; which is a legend about a man making a deal with the devil.
