- This recipe can make 8 steamed twisted roll
Ingredients:
300g All purpose flour 2cup+1tbsp
160g Warm water 1/2cup+2tbsp+ 2tsp
5g Sugar 1/2tbsp
3g Yeast 1 tsp
Green onion
Oil
Salt
Sichuan pepper/White pepper
Ferment for about 40 minutes, Then start steam with cold water. Steaming for about 12 minutes, then turn of the heat.

Great recipe and easy to follow. Very yummy. 😋 My 发卷 skin came out a little yellow after steaming. Is that normal? I used sourdough starter to replace yeast.
Thanks for your feedback. did you put some baking soda? too much baking soda will make the roll bun getting yellow. I think the sourdough starter is okay.
