  • Exploring the Abandoned Upper Clements Amusement Park was definitely one of the highlights of the road trip!
The Upper Clements Amusement Park must be a fun place to be for family and friends to enjoy during the weekend. It must had been filled with people, especially children screaming out at the top of their lungs while going up and down the rollercoasters and water rides. Probably, the Amusement Park Admin employed quite a number of people to run the Amusement Park. Just too bad, like other businesses that had closed down due to covid, the Amusement Park might had fallen the same fate. Sadly, people are left unemployed.
There was no sign in the premises that the Park was given a second chance. There was nothing to indicate that it's undergoing some sort of major repair or restoration works in the vicinity. High probability it would be totally abandoned before the land is bought by other property developer to be destroyed eventually.

I couldn’t believe this was real until you got to the place where the bumper boats used to be! So hard to see it look so different. Childhood memories will forever be cherished in this place. Thanks for filming what’s left of her

Ugh...42:36 gutted me. I remember going up that thing so many times both riding it and working there. I still remember the words you had to say into the microphone in that booth at the top. "Please sit to the back of the boat. Don't rock the boat. Keep your hands in, feet braced and hold on to the metal bars at all times. Hold on to your hats and glasses if you're wearing them. Have fun and enjoy the ride."

I know I can't even believe it. Went here every summer as a kid right up until it closed. Then brought my children. Always full of laughter and fun every where. This is so sad to see and you're right unrecognizable. Why would they tear down all those outbuildings?? they were built solid. What a shame 😔

Thank you!!! I have so many fond memories there with Family and then with Sea Cadets many times :) The summer I was on staff I think I went with every group LOL, I worked supply so I just hopped on the bus and said "If you want new stuff next week, I'm coming to Upper Clements!"

My husband was there for opening day. He helped build the admin building, He was Security for Fleetwood Mac and other famous entertainers who visited, but mostly the Flume was his specialty for he and 2 others were maintenance. They use to have Clementine Girls who read and did fun things with young children, clowns, Black smith's shop, and many many more attractions. I myself use to work at Kedge Lodge as one of the cooks. Many mixed emotions and fond memories of this place. To see it vandalized and trashed is sad... now just dirt and trees. That place provided employment for many who seek work. :D

It's crazy how little is left. I made a few videos myself, where I got there when it wasn't broken into (Security was supposed to be around) and one later, a few months ago. The amount od destruction the kids would do when showing up was nuts. Sad to see most of it gone now

Real shame. I worked there when they first broke ground, driving a dump truck, then years after it opened working security. Loved it there. All kinds of wildlife. Could be pretty creepy at night, especially on the boardwalk lol.

This is so tragic. I visited every single summer from '89 to 94. The drive from Kentville to Annapolis seemed to take forever!!! I loved the haunted house, even as a kid I thought it was a beautiful house. I heard it was bought by a private school. Does anyone know if that's still the plan?

When did this close? Despite growing up in Halifax, I never visited there. (I did not have transportation nor an interest in amusement parks).
I recently drove past the site in May and the sign was still up, so I thought that the park was still open.

Upper Clements Park isn't in Halifax Nova Scotia its in Nova Scotia Yes But Not Halifax it is located in Upper Clements by Annapolis Royal, i loved this place ❤i loved going there as a kid especially amd remember we would drive up there and go camping 🏕️ and then the next day we would head over to upper Clements park 🏞️ it was so much fun 🎉its so so sad it has Closed 😢We Need A place like this in Nova Scotia to draw in tourism and to bring in money for our province and start sending back all these migrants from india because if they're another park it wouldn't be fun to go too now because everyone would be east Indian who worked there and you would see mostly everyone there be from India due to Canadians not wanting to go because they're tired of going places and being surrounded by people from India because it feels uncomfortable and you feel like you dont belong in your own country 😢🇨🇦
