The word “Palestinian” is a recent made up name. No historic mention of their name in Israeli/Egyptian/ Syrian/Iranian archaeology or newspapers, until the 1960’s.

Before 1967 no one cared about these new “Palestinian” people to give them their own independence state just as they did in the 1950’s Morocco (1956) , Algeria (1962) and Libya (1951) all got their INDEPENDENCE state.

This year the IDF Israeli military has found documents in a Gaza tunnel recording his ordeal and showing that Hamas continued to TORTURE members who were believed to be gay.

The truck convoy was about big snowflakes afraid of needles, not wanting to get vaccines to protect themselves, their families and the population. The Gay Prides are actually not a protest. They are there to remind everybody that gays just want the same rights as heteros. Not more, not less. Remember that some countries still follow laws that allows gays to be beaten, jailed and executed (there are no countries where heterosexuals face the same risks for their sexual preferences). Now, what the video here shows is a protest from 20s something gays who have no life experience and are too dumb to realize they are supporting countries and people (not only Palestinians) who would stone them if they were openly gay in Gaza or Iran. Shame on the Toronto Gay Pride comity for backing down on those people.

We don't, we were happy with a corporate-less fun protest march. That said, Pride isn't taking money, it generates money for the city, that's why they couldn't just shut it down when pro-Palestinian groups joined (though they tried) because companies and government would have lost a lot of revenue.

Does anyone know how to get a hold of the protesters? There must be a contact email somewhere. I would love to send them a letter about protesting their protest. I don't even care what the protest is about..... they could have protested at City hall like everyone else. They ruined 67 groups' opportunities & money and time spent to participate in the parade. Not to mention how many spectators had their afternoons ruined. Though their protest may have been for valid or good reasons, they ended up making people pissed rather than wanting to find out what the protest is about and take action. Now I really don't want to even hear what they have to say are their issues.
There was an alternative protest- and they didn't seek to interrupt the main march. AND THEY DIDN'T INTERRUPT THE MAIN PARADE. And yet some people, claiming to represent those same issues, also confronted the Pride Parade. The lamestream media is part of the problem as usual.

I think this guy is a hypocrite. Any protest (regardless of rationale), that uses another platform like pride and the parade as a way to protest their concerns/demands is disrespectful and disruptive. This is now the second time this happens where they take and abuse opportunities like pride to disrupt a positive celebration. Let pride have its time and moment and protest elsewhere to get your voice heard and message across. This is why I don’t partake in pride anymore. It’s not like it used to be to be, regardless of what anyone says. It’s not prides fault nor issues that other things happen in the world. The LGBTQ+ community has their own issues too. The difference is that they don’t disrupt other protests or celebrations to get their voices heard. Raise your issues where it counts. Black Lives Matter nor the Palestinians protest should have intervened with Pride, period. I’m all for peaceful protests, not hostile and aggressive.

A tiny group of Black Lives Matter activists stopped Pride Toronto's Parade in June 2016, and a handful of Coalition Against Pinkwashing activists did the same for Pride 2024. Pride Toronto has a clear responsibility to ensure the parade is never disrupted in this way again. The City of Toronto also has a stake in ensuring this taking hostage of such an event is efficiently and safely dealt with.

The police were present at the Pride Parade this weekend, but they did nothing to prevent, stop, or remove the Palestinians. It is shameful for the police to participate in the Pride Parade and yet fail to take any action. It seemed as though the officers were enjoying themselves at the citizens' expense, getting compensated by taxpayer money just to wear their uniforms and have fun at the event. This is a terrible situation for our city, and it is disappointing that politicians are aware of it but do nothing.

Why isn't CP24 reporting about the full nudity at the parade, within the presence of children (who the parade organizers say are welcome to come and that it's all age appropriate). Public nudity is against the law but the police refused to do anything about it.

@@dianenewhook9501 I don't know either. Maybe because it makes a lot of money for corporations (hotels, restaurants, transportation, clubs, parking, etc.). The vast majority of Pride attendees are straight. I am a lesbian and I don't celebrate all month and I never go to the Pride Parade and neither do most of the lesbians I know.
